Chapter 1236 - Different Circumstances
Chapter 1236: Different Circumstances
Tears welled up in Sun Yuluo’s eyes upon hearing An Lin’s words.
When he had nowhere to go, his idol offered him an olive branch.
The Four Nine Immortal Sect could shelter him from anything!
“Sun Yuluo, do you want to join the Four Nine Immortal Sect?” An Lin asked.
Sun Yuluo gripped his longsword with excitement. “I do! I would love to join the Four Nine Immortal Sect!”
He could accept a sect that ostracized him, oppressed him, and looked down on him just for who his idol was. But at the same time, that didn’t mean that he wouldn’t choose a sect he liked after being expelled from the sect that had oppressed him for so long!
Sun Yuluo felt like he was living in a dream. Before he knew it, he had received the Blue Dream Ancient Sword and joined the Four Nine Immortal Sect to become part of his idol’s family…
“Are you happy?” the little boy’s voice sounded from behind him.
“I’m very surprised, but also very elated…” A warm smile appeared on Sun Yuluo’s face as he turned to look at the little boy on his back.
The little boy was also smiling at him, and his eyeballs popped out of their sockets before rubbing against Sun Yuluo’s face…
“Ah… !!!” Sun Yuluo screamed as the warm smile on his face gave away to an expression of sheer horror. His eyes rolled into the back of his eyes, and his legs gave out from under him again as he collapsed to the ground.
“Heeheehee, hehe… Fun.” The little boy chuckled joyfully.
Sun Yuluo slowly recovered the soul that had escaped from his body, and tears began to flow from his eyes. What kind of sword spirit was this?
The battles taking place overhead were also slowly drawing to a conclusion.
Third Elder Zhu Yunshan was now riddled with wounds, having had the crap beaten out of him by Little Xie.
The Heavenly Sword Sect disciple Ouyang Xia had also been forced firmly onto the back foot by An Lin.
“Damn… Let’s retreat for now!” Zhu Yunshan finally roared through gritted teeth.
Ouyang Xia wore a thunderous expression as he forced An Lin back before flying back in retreat. “An Lin, this will not be the end! The Blue Dream Ancient Sword belongs to our Heavenly Sword Sect, and Sun Yuluo must die! Our Heavenly Sword Sect will eventually make all of you pay!”
An Lin shrugged. “Shut the f*ck up and scurry out of here!”
Ouyang Xia’s chest constricted with rage, and he aimed a vicious glare at Sun Yuluo before turning to flee into the distance.
Zhao Siming and the others also took meaningful glances at An Lin and Sun Yuluo before flying away as well.
Thus, Sun Yuluo had become a sworn enemy of their sect.
They were feeling extremely conflicted emotions.
They were still unable to forget how Sun Yuluo had risked his life in order to save theirs in the flower slaughter formation.
They were thinking that maybe their relationship would improve after returning to the sect.
Who would have thought that they were now no longer members of the same sect, and he was their sect’s sworn enemy…
Fate could be cruel…
An Lin landed gently onto the ground before stretching his body. “Phew… That was an enjoyable battle. Ouyang Xia is a decent sparring partner.”
A reverent expression appeared on Sun Yuluo’s face. “Sword Immortal An Lin, Ouyang Xia is one of our sect’s most exceptional Sword Immortals. He is also Sect Leader Liu Mingxuan’s most powerful disciple. I didn’t think that he would only be worthy as a sparring partner to you!”
An Lin replied with a serious expression, “It’s his honor to be able to spar with me.”
Profound admiration welled up in Sun Yuluo’s heart upon hearing this.
As expected of the man he revered. How bad*ss!
“I’m sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused for you, Sword Immortal An Lin.”
Sun Yuluo wore an apologetic expression as he expressed his gratitude. “I received the Blue Dream Ancient Sword, which is already an unimaginable treasure to me, and now, you’ll have to face pressure from the Heavenly Sword Sect. Why… why are you so good to me?”
An Lin patted Sun Yuluo’s shoulder. “Don’t think so much. I don’t care about the Heavenly Sword Sect. I’m doing all of this because you’re worth it!”
“How so?” Sun Yuluo was perplexed.
He did have a very good aptitude and was once a personal disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect’s sect leader, but he definitely wouldn’t be considered one of the most exceptionally talented prodigies among the Four Nine Immortal Sect members…
An Lin explained with a smile, “You are a man who risks his life for his fellow disciples even though your entire sect has oppressed you and all of the sect disciples insulted you. Who could dislike your character after witnessing something like that?”
“So that’s why…” Sun Yuluo stared blankly at An Lin as a myriad of thoughts and feelings surged through his heart.
An Lin continued with a smile, “Aside from that, there are many good traits about you. Don’t look down on yourself. I’m expecting great things from you!”
Tears well up in Sun Yuluo’s eyes as he nodded heavily. “I’ll work hard to live up to your expectations, Sect Leader An Lin!”
Thus, the two of them made the return trip on Da Bai’s back.
The two sword spirits seemed to both enjoy the environment here at the Dead Spirit Demonic Land a lot, and they would often come out for a stroll.
Little Xie was clearly feeling quite elated after getting a new underling, and she sat on Da Bai’s head as she hummed a joyful tune.
Her voice was quite tender but very clear and pleasant.
An Lin was thoroughly enjoying her singing.
The little boy sprawled on Sun Yuluo’s back was also singing.
“Crimson blood… paints the walls… One small human head… rolls under the bed…”
An unsettling tune coupled with terrifying lyrics.
Sun Yuluo had his hands clamped over his ears the entire time, and he screamed as tears flowed from his eyes.
They were both sword spirits, so why was there such a huge disparity between them?!
He was about to have a mental breakdown!
“That was beautiful, Little Xie!” An Lin praised with elation, and he couldn’t help but pinch Little Xie’s delectable cheeks, thus drawing a disdainful glare from her.
However, even her disdainful expression as she rolled her eyes was super adorable!
The little boy had also finished his song, and he lay on Sun Yuluo’s back as he spoke in a ghostly voice, “Did… you.. enjoy my singing…”
“P-p… please… stop singing!” Sun Yuluo was stuttering in horror.
“Alright…” The little boy smiled before extending his long tongue to wrap around Sun Yuluo’s neck.
Sun Yuluo’s eyes rolled over, and he blacked out.
Prior to blacking out, he was still lamenting in his heart.
With regards to sword spirits, everyone sure had different circumstances. An Lin was in heaven, whereas he was in hell…
After scaring Sun Yuluo unconscious, the little boy was getting a little bored, and he reverted back to his sword form as he silently sidled up to Sun Yuluo’s body. At the same time, he made the thoughtful gesture of releasing his yin energy to nurture Sun Yuluo’s meridians.
This was supposed to be helpful.
However, the yin energy seemed to have an adverse effect on his body.
Sun Yuluo was having terrible nightmares. He was still unconscious, but tears were flowing from his eyes, and he kept on screaming “No”, as if he were being confronted by something extremely terrifying.
“Poor Little Sun, woof!” Da Bai was feeling a little sympathetic toward him.
“How did these two end up together?” An Lin was very intrigued.
Little Xie turned to An Lin before speaking in an indifferent voice, “This is life.”
