Under the lead of Lord Huzi, their small group of four had immediately found the location where the Ninetailed Fox Goddess lives. Looking at the active volcano splurting magma and lava from its mouth, Zhi Yue, Zhi Yang and Beast God Mo Mingkong were stunned.
Lord Huzi in his beast form was sniffing around and suddenly turned into his beastmen form.
He said, "This is the place. Mother’s scent is the strongest in this area. Our ninetailed fox race had a unique scent which only another ninetailed fox can smell. Other beasts are not capable of doing so."
The three looked at the boiling magma and lava at the open mouth of the volcano and looked at Lord Huzi with an expression asking ’Is this truly the right place?’.
Lord Huzi said, "What are you looking at? Are you not coming in?"
After saying these words, Lord Huzi jumped into the opening of the volcano dragging with him, his mate who was too shocked to do anything. The two systems were dumbfounded by this move and forgotten that they were all tied up with a ribbon. So when Lord Huzi jumped into the volcano, they were all dragged down with him.
Zhi Yue screams, "Ah~ Are you for real!?"
Zhi Yang was calm as he looked at the volcano coming closer while Zhi Yue hugged him trying to hide while screaming. Beast God Mo Minkong just gripped his mate’s hand and pretended to be calm. As for the one pulling them down, he had a smile at the corner of his lips, clearly, he had done this intentionally.
AAAAHHHH~~
THUD!
The next moment, they felt their feet landed on a grassy land and the volcano’s lava and magma that was about to touch them had faded like a mist revealing a forest and a small mansion not far away from where they had landed.
Lord Huzi hit the screaming boy’s head and said, "Stop screaming and open your eyes! Thanks to you my ears are ringing right now."
"Eh?" Zhi Yue took a peek and realized that they were now in some kind of enchanted forest.
Why was it called an enchanted forest?
It’s simple. There are flying fairies, trees with faces and can talk as well as some fantasy creatures that only exist in books, especially in stories. They even heard them speak among themselves.
"There are intruders! Call everyone to fight!"
"How can someone ordinary break through the illusion barrier of the Queen!?"
"Someone report it to the queen!"
"Eh? Why is there a familiar smell? This fragrance... It’s a little fox!"
"A little fox? Are you sure... Are you sure?"
The fantasy creatures slowly showed themselves one by one and their eyes lingered on Huzi who was looking at them with curiosity. Most of the beings in this forest were something he had only heard from the stories his mother told him when he was young and his mother was still with him. He was amazed to see them all moving before his eyes.
"Wow~ to think the creatures in the story mom told me when I was young were all real?"
Lord Huzi gently lifted up a fat penguin in suit and said, "Are you Uncle Penguin who is said to have defeated the God of Luck before?"
"Little fox, who told you about that?" The fat penguin said as he stared at the face of Lord Huzi and realized that this young one is just a demigod and looks so much like the queen.
"Why do you look so much like the queen?" The fat penguin said.
All of the sudden, a seductive, female voice spoke, "Why are you so surprised that he looks like me? This is my eldest son."
When everyone looked at the source of the voice, they saw a sexy looking female ninetailed fox wearing a crimson red kimono that showed his figure and ample chest. She looks so bored yet alluring with ninetail foxtails moving behind her. She was holding a pipe smoking so elegantly like a mature woman.
Huzi, this ninetailed fox beastmen let go of the fat penguin and jumped on his mother for a hug.
"Mom! I can finally see you again!" Huzi said.
The female ninetailed fox let Huzi hugging him and even gently patting his back with a smile.
"Mom is also delighted to see you," said the female ninetailed fox as her eyes wandered at the other three who came with his son.
Beast God Mo Minkong bowed his head and said, "Mother-in-law, how are you doing?"
"It’s better. With such special guests with you, it is disrespectful to stay in the forest. Let’s head to the mansion."
They all followed the female Ninetailed Fox to her mansion where a male tiger beastman was waiting for them. This beastman looks a quarter similar to how Huzi looks and is obviously connected to him by blood.
The tiger beastman was startled at first when he saw Huzi and smiled after calming down. A small table of food was prepared by him for them seeing the number of dishes that can be considered as a small feast, clearly, they were expecting their arrival.
Lord Huzi upon seeing the tiger beastman ran to hug him as well while calling, "Dad!"
The father of Heri and Huzi is just an ordinary tiger beastman. He saved the Fox Goddess during her tribulation and fell in love with one another. But the goddess is not allowed to stay in the mortal realm unless she had duties to fulfill there. So after she was healed the holy dragon had ordered her to return and without any choice to leave her family behind. This tiger beastman had stayed with their children until the end of his lifespan, before his death his only wish was to see his wife for the last time.
It was unknown what the Fox Goddess had promised the Holy Dragon God but he had allowed her to share her life with her spouse allowing him to become his apostle and ascend to a lesser god who is only a bit stronger than a demigod. She also brought him away to the divine realm. Thankfully the children were already adults and they could leave without problems.
The two of them have given most of their abilities to their children so they would be able to survive and get stronger faster than the rest. This is so they can ascend as gods themselves in the future. It’s just that the mate their two sons had chosen was almost the peak of strength. The eldest had married the only god in the mortal realm while the other married a demigod with the bloodline of the wind god in him.
They know that the children would take awhile for them to ascend and live in the divine realm with them. They were not worried as the beast god would sometimes ascend to tell them about their situation in the mortal realm. It’s just that one day, the Fox Goddess saw something through her future sight. The scene of his eldest son coming over and the destruction of the world under the hands of two world destroyers.
That’s why the couple already knew that their son would be coming over and weren’t surprised by their arrival. The ones they did not expect were the two unknown gods who came with them.
The Tiger beastman said, "Stop crying. I heard you have already become the leader of our race. You have done well protecting them, son."
"Alright, stop crying. Let’s talk as we eat," the fox goddess said.
The table full of dishes were enjoyed by the six of them with the older couple serving more food for their son and his other half. The two didn’t dare disrespect the two by serving them food. As they knew that the identities of these two young men is at least equal to that of a heavenly law and they are most likely immortals from the upper realm. Though they haven’t gone to Vearth they knew their existence.
The Fox Goddess said, "Hello. Welcome to our home. I hope you don’t mind our humble feast."
Zhi Yue was also gorging himself without any hint of elegance. Even if he wanted to respond, his mouth is full and can only look at the lady with silly doe eyes. It was Zhi Yang who had spoken for their side.
"Do not be afraid. We are not your enemies and we are sent here by our lords to protect your children," Zhi Yang said. "You may call me Zhi Yang and he is called Zhi Yue."
"A pleasure to meet you," The Tiger beastman and the Fox Goddess said. "I hope you enjoy your meals."
During the meal, the Fox Goddess and her mate heard about what is happening in the mortal realm. Their expressions were gloomy when they heard that an evil beast god was born and another hidden existence which is most likely more powerful than this evil beast god exists as well.
"An Evil Beast God? Is there something else stronger than it that exists in the mortal realm?" The Fox Goddess was surprised. This is news she didn’t expect.
Her mate, the tiger beast man said, "Wife, maybe it was these two beings that caused that future you’ve dreamt about with your future sight."
"Impossible! If that is truly the future, doesn’t that mean that the divine realm was destroyed by those two evil beings as well," The Ninetailed Fox Goddess said.
