"What do you mean no ashes?!"
The human general was shocked by the report from his subordinates. He had seen the dead bodies, the process of it being burned to ashes and that small hill of ashes that was left behind. There is no way that those deceased beastmen are still alive. There were no bodies and the fact that they were burned to ashes is a fact. However, he couldn’t understand why the ashes would disappear. Normally, such a huge pile of ashes would take days before it was completely blown away by the wind. Only a few hours had passed since he left the gates to the military headquarters.
By the time, the call had ended, the human general felt fear in his heart finally realizing what the hidden meaning his master meant when he was asked just now. It seems that the new marshal already knew that there is something wrong with the beastmen race, it’s no wonder he wanted to make a move on them.
The human general looked at his master and said, "Master... I...."
"Though this is indeed a failure on your part, it cannot be considered completely your fault. The hidden abilities of the beastmen race were something not everyone knew." The new marshal, Gu Ying said.
The human general asked, "Master, what happened to them? The ashes were completely gone."
"Brought back through life through ashes. Like how a phoenix would with a wisp of fire," Marshal Gu Ying said.
Shocked. The human general exclaimed, "Come back to life!? Are they Gods?!"
"No gods. But bestowed immortality by the gods. It was unknown whether it was only them or maybe their whole clan. Are you not aware of how many gods the beastmen race possessed?" said Marshal Gu Ying.
The General was startled and shook his head.
Marshal Gu Ying said, "There should be at least less than ten divinities among the beastmen. The only reason they didn’t make a move on the other races is simple. They do not care about them or they weren’t offended enough for them to come out."
"For now, do not worry about them. To reunite the other races we need to make an example of the dwarf and the elven races. They aren’t the only other races in this world, there are more of them hidden in this world. The human race must find their standing among the rest. That’s why we need to defeat the beastmen race to make a place for us in the divine realm." Marshal Gu Ying said.
He added, "Your new mission now is to find the dwarfs and elves. Exterminate them."
"Yes, Lord Marshal!" The human general accepted his mission.

He is now chasing after the remnants of the Dwarf Race and a group of elves that was found lingering in the ruined city. He commanded his troops to chase after these groups. Now chasing after them, with the interference of the elves, they had lost them a couple of times. However, the general had no intention of letting them go and chase after them.
With the short preparation done by the dwarf king Garan and the Elf Warrior Vera, they had made a short ambush at the road. Unexpectedly, the human general didn’t fall for it right away and looked around at the empty road as he halted his soldiers. With his eyes wandering around, he felt something was wrong at this place and if this continued, the ambush would most likely fail.
"General, is there something wrong?" A soldier asked.
The human general made a gesture and a few soldiers had passed through the road under the orders of their leader. At first, it was only one soldier on a horse but nothing happened. Next he sent two soldiers on their horse but nothing happened as well. At the third one where a quarter of his soldiers passed through the road, two dwarfs waiting under the ground use earth elementals to kill the small group of passing soldiers.
Earth spikes appeared on the ground and with ambush they killed the soldiers and stole their horses. They ride on the horses and escape only to be killed by the arrows from the humans beside the human general.
"These damn dwarfs! They dare to ambush us here! Check the road carefully! We will move only when there are no more traps at this area of the road." The human general commanded.
A few soldiers disarmed the hidden intentional traps the dwarfs made while they kept themselves well hidden. The sacrifices of the two dwarfs before was only to intentionally let their guards down. After all, their main objective is the human general and to buy time. As long as they buy as much time to slow the forward march of this group they would win.
After the fake traps were disarmed, the human general had finally passed through the road that the ambush had begun. The Dwarf king Garan and Elf Vera seeing the human general passed below them attacked at the same time. They first rendered him unable to move, making sure he was restrained by both Earth and Wind elementals as they massacred the soldiers that were with him. Though they tried not to kill them all upon noticing they were under some kind of control, Elf Vera choose to capture those that can be captured.
Restrained by both earth and wind elementals, the human general was enraged and used the power the marshal had given him to control his soldiers regardless of their wills.
"By the oath you made under the Marshal’s name, I command you all to kill all enemies no matter what!" The Human General commanded.
A black aura comes out of the body of the soldiers and even their eyes turn completely black. Like a group of marionettes, the soldiers move without fear of death and attack the dwarfs without fear of death. Seeing this Dwarf King Garan and Elf Vera had no choice but to kill them all. Now that the situation had changed, the two leaders decided to send the other dwarf warriors to escape as well.
Dwarf King Garan said to his loyalist, "You guys! Retreat. Chase the rest of the group and regroup with them. We don’t need you here!"
"But your majesty!!"
The dwarf king’s loyalist was dragged away by the wind commanded by Elf Vera away from their current location. At the same time, Dwarf King Garan erupted the land creating a wall of earth that blocked the soldiers who had gone insane by the command of the human general.
Seeing a wall of earth enclosing the remaining group, the human general’s expression turned cold.
"Do you think that by blocking us, those rats under you will be able to escape?" The human genera smirked and said, "Do you think this is the only group under my command?"
Upon hearing the words of the human general, Elf Vera controlled the wind to check the situation of the other group. Like this human had said, there is another group of soldiers that is now chasing the survivors of the dwarf race. If not for the protection of his subordinates, they might have lost everything right from the very beginning. He can only issue command through the wind towards his subordinates.
{Do not clash with the enemies. They are under someone’s control. Restrain and escape. Prioritize heading to the ancient forest!}

The elves who had heard the command of their leader had moved according to his instructions. They didn’t dare to kill the human soldiers who were like undeads who didn’t fear death despite how much injuries they suffered. But being restrained they were able to buy more time and head towards the ancient forest.
"Head to the Ancient Forest and call for the name of Elf King Vega!!" The elves said.
Seeing that the group ahead of them had no problem holding back the human soldiers, Elf Vera was relieved and focused on their current situation. He shared the situation of the other group to the dwarf king.
"Garan, the group ahead will be fine. They are nearing the ancient forest. As long as our king hears our voice, he will definitely help us." Elf Vera said.
Upon hearing this the dwarf king was also relieved and smiled, on the other hand, the human general was surprised to hear that the elf before him was not an ordinary elf. He had connections to the former elf king, who is also the current guardian of the ancient forest. This means as long as the guardian inside learned that his former subordinates were outside of the forest being chased by the humans, then his soldiers will most likely suffer a lot.
The human general’s face turned ugly as he overheard the conversation between the king of dwarfs and the elf named Vera.
"You! You have connections to someone from inside the Ancient Forest!? If only I knew I wouldn’t have let you guys split up! You must be killed!!"
As the human general said such a thing, the aura around him had changed a lot. Like his soldiers from before, an eerie black aura comes out of his body mutating his vessel into something inhuman. It seems that the subordinates directly under the new marshal were also mutants from unknown power. If the God of Destruction is here, he would definitely recognize that the bit of weird power this human general is using is cosmic energy. Something that shouldn’t exist in the lower realm worlds.
