Chapter 475 Imperial Court Assembly Discussions

From this side of the mountain range, Chen Jin combed through everything the whole way. He walked across valleys, crossed over mountain ridges, and turned over mountain tops to arrive at this side.

He found that this side was the “front,” where there was an even more majestic palace. Looking further, he saw the boundless sea. It was a big villa with a sea view, you couldn’t deny it.

The palace was very unique, it was much like the kind of houses in southern China. He entered into the grand foyer, then took a turn around a screen to the patio. Behind the patio was another grand foyer, with rooms and kitchens on both sides.

This palace was relatively larger, and upon entering, he could see that it was similarly a great hall too. Inside the hall was a large, open altar. The altar was densely covered with glowing runes that were suddenly bright one moment and dark the next.

However, it had been badly damaged and was no longer whole. The brilliance that was faintly emitted by the runes seemed to be struggling still.

Chen Jin worked his spiritual power, wanting to fly up to get a peep and see what was going on, but he found that his body had become exceptionally heavy. His feet could not leave the ground.

When he next opened his eyes, he found himself surrounded by trees. He did not know where he was.

He checked himself over. His cultivation had entered a new realm. He was not a Sage anymore. He had no impurities in his body. His whole body was elegant as a jade carving, and he had great depths of spiritual power in his body, it was like a vast, inexhaustible ocean. His very own fundamental essence of life sat with the spirits of heavens.

There were additional memories in his mind, including a method of practice called the Emperor’s Scripture. There was also some general knowledge about cultivation, such as the divisions of the cultivation realms, after which he found out that he had stopped at the Mahayana phase. He would attain immortality in the following phase.

However, because this is against the Heavens, the cultivator would be struck with disasters. After he rode out the worst of these disasters, he would be able to ascend to the Immortal World.

Chen Jin thought that this was the so-called “inheritance.” He had found a treasure, and he was elated.

He looked at the sky, it was almost dark. He had to find a place to reorganize.

He had just checked the condition of his body. But there was nothing on of his body. He had no clothes or anything like that. There was a sword stuck into the ground beside him and a little monkey sleeping away.

The little monkey had awakened too and it looked around vacant eyes. It found itself in a strange environment. When he saw Chen Jin, its eyes that had dimmed brightened again. Obviously, it knew this unlucky wretch.

The Ancestor of the Wei dynasty changed himself into a stream of light, heading to the forest in the west. There was nothing there. The transmission array was still there, but there were no changes to it. There were no signs of even a single person crossing through the array.

The transmission array could not be used because there was no spiritual power on the other end. Even the Ancestor, with cultivation that was at the pinnacle as a powerful immortal, could not cross over into the other world using the array.

The Ancestor of the Wei dynasty frowned, then turned into a stream of light and left.
