Chapter 907: I Like You; I Like You Very Much
Nian Xi was speechless. Just what had she done to cause them to misunderstand and think that she was raising a dog?
However, they weren’t wrong either. She might have the same feelings if she were to keep a puppy.
Nian Xi went back to the Nian family mansion with Nian Qingyun. She hadn’t been back in a long while, so grandmother was very happy to see her. After chatting with grandmother for a while, Nian Xi returned to her room.
Lying on her big bed, she suddenly felt that whatever happened in Paris was so far away. However, Paris’ time was behind. It must still be morning there.
Nian Xi sat up and opened her suitcase. A white piece of paper fell out.
She wondered why her suitcase would have such a thing in it and thought it was a piece of trash. She absently opened it to take a look before throwing it away, only to see “Xi” written at the top.
She took a closer look and realized that it was a love letter. The handwriting was very familiar as she frequently saw Jiang Yuning write like this.
She held her breath and read it line by line:
“Xi, please allow me to call you as such. I’ve always wanted to call you this way, but I was afraid that you would not like it.
I like you; I like you very much.
If you ask me how I describe this ‘like’, I won’t know how to. I have never fallen for anyone before, but I once liked a cat when I was eight. After it passed away from illness, I was sad for a long time. I even cried. I imagine that I like you just like how I liked that cat. Uncle Han said that since you broke up with your ex-boyfriend, he must have not treated you well. I imagine, if you are with me, I will never mistreat you. I like to follow you, I like to watch you smile, I like to watch you, I like you patting my head, I like you caressing my cheeks…”
It ended abruptly, but Nian Xi had a feeling that it wasn’t completed.
Was this the love letter he wrote? The love letter that had been on his mind?
Nian Xi felt like laughing. He compared her to a cat he had in the past. He really couldn’t write love letters. Luckily, she knew what kind of person he was; she was rather touched. Perhaps there wouldn’t be anyone silly enough to write her a love letter again.
Nian Xi folded the letter and contemplated for a while before she finally called Uncle Han.
“Uncle Han, are you the one who put that love letter in my suitcase?”
“Yes, but Mr. Jiang wrote it, although it is not finished. I found it in his suitcase after he was taken away.”
Uncle Han smiled. “Although I know that it is probably impossible between the two of you, that is Mr. Jiang’s first love letter. I still wanted to deliver it to the intended recipient.”
“Thank you…” Nian Xi said with a heavy heart. “What do you intend to do today?”
“The priority is to get Mr. Jiang out. The Chinese authorities are already putting pressure on this side. We will never admit to plagiarizing, let alone defaming Mr. Oda. We will file a counter-lawsuit against him, although the case will drag on for even longer,” Uncle Han said.
“That is good to hear.” Nian Xi breathed a sigh of relief. “if you meet Mr. Jiang, pass him my regards.”
“I will.”
After hanging up the phone, Nian Xi walked to the window. She couldn’t do anything now. She should just focus on being a good bridesmaid.
…
Nian Junting returned to Tianhu Villa.
The soulful sound of a piano tune reverberated in the bedroom. Luosang was holding her belly with one hand. “You’re back at just the right time. Your son gets extremely excited once he hears music.”
Since knowing that the baby was a boy, Nian Junting lost his excitement. He walked over and touched her belly. Right at that moment, the baby kicked. “This kid likes music just like me.”
