Chapter 1444 - The 'Likes' Accident
Chapter 1444: The ‘Likes’ Accident
Yan Su immediately understood why Mo Liuxi was upset — he saw her talking with Chen Chen before. Was he testing her on purpose by not telling her that?
Her heart sunk all of a sudden.
“So you don’t trust me, once again?”
Mo Liuxi was losing his patience. “I just want to know the reason why.”
“Fine, I’ll tell you,” Yan Su said. “Chen Chen only came to tell me that, since I am with you now, I should talk you out of always starting fights with Shi Xiang. Shi Xiang knew in his heart that he and I were over.”
“If he believes that you were over, then he would ignore my provocations. Went out of his way to send his manager to talk to you? I don’t think he’s over you at all,” Mo Liuxi said with a stone-cold tone.
“He did not go out of his way to send his manager. We bumped into each other and had a casual chat.” Yan Su took a sip of the porridge. She did not wish to drag the topic on with Mo Liuxi.
Mo Liuxi frowned. As Yan Su had stopped talking, he finished his breakfast alone. It was quite tasty before, but after all that, it tasted as bland as paper.
Mo Liuxi had only taken a few bites. He then went over to the bed to take a nap.
Yan Su took her phone out to read about Ji Nuanyi’s news. Both Ji Nuanyi and Cheng Sheng were big names. Things had escalated much faster than her incident before. Many malicious comments were posted. Many influencers added fuel to the fire as well.
About 10 minutes before, Ji Nuanyi made a statement on Weibo: “Last night we all drank a little bit more than what we could handle. Some were completely drunk. @ChengSheng walked me to my car and my assistant was helping me out as well. Why is there only me and Cheng Sheng in that photo? When we went back to my hotel, my assistant was just behind us. And there was only me and Cheng Sheng, again. Just so you know, my assistant is a girl, so she could not hold me up when I was so drunk. Cheng Sheng left after he put me down. Didn’t you get that photo?”
Not long after the post, Cheng Sheng retweeted the post with a few more words: “It’s too easy to start a rumor.”
Within three minutes, Shi Xiang retweeted as well to show his support.
Yan Su liked all the posts — she even liked Shi Xiang’s post by accident.
Yan Su looked to the man sleeping on the bed. Her heart almost lost a beat; she had liked the post. What would people say if she removed the like? They would think that she was trying to start a media hype, or the two were not over yet. It would cause trouble either way. Maybe It was best to just let it be and be honest about it.
She retweeted Ji Nuanyi’s post and wrote: “We had a bite together last night. I saw @JiNuanyi ‘s assistant there when we called it a night. Nuanyi is a selfless, honest spirit. And Cheng Sheng is a big brother who always looks out for the others. Can’t imagine that someone would twist the facts and make a story out of this.”
Soon after she posted, thousands commented below. Many said that Yan Su valued her relationships with her friends, and others believed that she was in this together with Ji Nuanyi as Shi Xiang, Mo Liuxi and Yan Su’s names were always on the news.
Of course, Shi Xiang liked her post not too long after as well.
Yan Su had butterflies in her stomach. She patted the man under the covers and said, “We are all supporting Nuanyi, join us.”
Mo Liuxi squinted his eyes, looked to Yan Su, and said, “We… you and who else?”
“Just the cast.” Yan Su cleared her throat. “Shi Xiang and Cheng Sheng retweeted as well. I liked their posts.”
“Yan Su, how dare you like Shi Xiang’s post!” Mo Liuxi threw back the covers and sat up straight. His voice was deafening to Yan Su’s ears.
“But I liked everyone else’s posts. It would seem weird if I did not like his,” Yan Su explained. “People might say that I am not over him yet. Retweet now — I’ll like yours as well.”
