Chapter 1353 - She Fell into His Arms
Chapter 1353: She Fell into His Arms
How on earth was she supposed to continue eating her breakfast?
She finished her food as soon as she could, then dragged Jiaojiao and left the cafeteria.
There was no red carpet task for today. The crew went to see other people walk the red carpet. Yan Su spent the afternoon with the others, then returned to the hotel to do an interview.
The next day, Ji Nuanyi asked everyone in the group chat if they wanted to take a twilight gondola ride to enjoy the evening view of Venice.
Yang Ziqian signed up first, then Cheng Sheng. Yan Su had never been on a gondola before. It was her first time in Venice, so she wanted to go too. It seemed like a memorable way to see the city.
After dinner, she met up with the others in the lobby. What a surprise to see Mo Liuxi.
She whispered to Ji Nuanyi, “What’s he doing here? He didn’t sign up in the group chat, did he?”
“He talked to me in private,” Ji Nuanyi smiled. “He didn’t see the message in the group chat.”
Hmmph. Yan Su didn’t know how to respond to that.
She was having second thoughts. Every time she went out together with him, something awful happened.
“Don’t worry.” Ji Nuanyi held her shoulder and said, “I’ll keep a close eye on you guys. I won’t let you fall into the water again.”
Yan Su stayed silent.
She was indeed worried that something like that would happen, or maybe something worse.
The five of them walked to the dock. Mo Liuxi didn’t sign up at first, so Ji Nuanyi booked another gondola for four.
Now there were five of them. The gondolas for six had all been booked since it was a busy time of year. They asked the gondolier if he could put all five of them on the gondola, but he said no.
They had no choice but to pay for an extra gondola for two. Two would go on the small gondola, while the other three stayed in the bigger one. After all, none of them wanted to be on the gondola alone. That would be boring.
However, the seating arrangements became a problem.
“I think we three girls should sit together,” Yan Su said. “The two guys can take the small one.”
“No.” Cheng Sheng, who was older than the others, was the first to shake his head. “There has to be a guy on each boat to keep the girls safe.”
Yan Su admired and respected Cheng Sheng but didn’t dare to argue with him.
“I’ll share a boat with Yan Su and Liuxi, you with Ziqian,” said Ji Nuanyi to Cheng Sheng.
“Okay.”
Cheng Sheng and Zi Qian both agreed. After all, Yang Qiqian and Yan Su didn’t know each other so well yet. Letting the two of them share a boat would be a little inappropriate.
Yan Su wasn’t happy to share the boat with Mo Liuxi.
She gave him a sidelong look and went on the gondola first, then helped Ji Nuanyi to get on, then Yan Su.
Yan Su had to hold his hand. When she was getting onto the boat, Ji Nuanyi shook it on purpose. Yan Su lost her balance and fell into Mo Liuxi’s arms.
His scent immediately enveloped her. She blushed, hurriedly struggled out, then apologized, “I’m sorry. The boat was shaking. I didn’t mean it.”
“It was shaking indeed,” Mo Liuxi’s pupils shrank slightly. After saying that, he let go of her and sat down beside Ji Nuanyi.
Yan Su sat on his other side. Mo Liuxi ended up sitting between two girls.
The gondolier paddled the boat slowly as he talked about the scenery and Venice’s history to the passengers. The twinkling lights made the city seem otherworldly.
The famous city on the water had a lot of romantic stories.
The gentle breeze blew across Yan Su’s long hair. She enjoyed the night view of couples dining by candlelight together, the fresh flowers in the windows of the residents.
The city was as enchanting as an oil painting.
“I should have come here with my boyfriend,” Ji Nuanyi sighed.
