Chapter 1113 - Go Public
Chapter 1113: Go Public
Mo Liuxi finished talking and left since they both needed to calm down. Yan Su didn’t even remember how she put on her clothes; she sat down on the couch.
So many things happened last night. First Shi Xiang, then her relationship with Mo Liuxi had a problem. She never thought that she was so untrustworthy in Mo Liuxi’s eyes. What Mo Liuxi did to her was even more unexpected. It was so hurtful.
Who was she in his eyes? A thing that had no feelings? She felt humiliated and frightened. She sat there, submerged in her thinking until she heard a knock at her door.
“Yan Su, are you home?” Xiang Wan’s voice was heard from the outside.
Xiang Wan’s voice reminded her of her company. She hurriedly answered the door and saw Xiang Wan and Jiaojiao standing outside, both looking serious.
“What on earth is wrong with you? You’re a star. How can you lose your phone?” Xiang Wan hurriedly walked in. “Have you read the news? What’s happening between you and Shi Xiang? Are you guys together?”
“I just saw it.” Yan Su felt guilty. Xiang Wan had told her not to create a scandal, but now something like that had happened. “We’re not together.”
“Then why is there news about you and him spending a night together in a hotel?” Xiang Wan was angry. “Now our company’s phone is being blown up. Shi Xiang hasn’t responded to this. His female fans are attacking you online, accusing you of seducing him. You’re a new artist so I was trying to help you to build a solid foundation, yet you make such a huge scandal with him. You better tell me what’s going on between you two. Are you together? Or, are you just… sexual partners?”
Yan Su blushed. She wasn’t expecting Xiang Wan to think that too. She frowned, hesitated briefly, then told the truth. “We were high school classmates, and we were together for a while. We broke up earlier, but yesterday, nothing happened. I was just trying to make it clear with him. There’s no chance for us to get back together.”
“God.” Xiang Wan gasped in shock. “And you never told me that.”
“I’m sorry.” Yan Su dropped her head. “I thought it’s over.”
“All right, I’ll talk to Shi Xiang’s people about this. I hope we can clarify your relationship in public, so people will believe you. I can’t tell the reporters that you were playing mahjong or studying music together the whole night,” said Xiang Wan seriously. “Even if you don’t tell, sooner or later people will still find out that you used to be classmates. After all, you have other school mates.”
“I get it.” Yan Su was touched. “Xiang, don’t you blame me?”
“Why would I? If you slept with him, I’d know. I helped you start your career. Don’t I know what kind of person you are?” Xiang Wan glanced at her blandly and said, “You’re honest. Not every artist follows all of my arrangements like you do.”
Yan Su was stunned, then gave a bitter smile. Xiang Wan was only her manager, yet she believed what she said. Mo Liuxi was her boyfriend. They lived together, went to school together, had meals together, but he didn’t trust her.
…
That afternoon, Chen Chen visited Star Music under Xiang Wan’s arrangement.
Shi Xiang didn’t show up but Chen Chen and Xiang Wan both agreed to go public with Shi Xiang’s past.
Before leaving, Chen Chen said to Yan Su in private, “I think Jin Youlan called the reporters with an anonymous phone and gave them your location.”
