Chapter 207: Yuna vs Genin Team
Chapter 207: Yuna vs Genin Team
It was the morning of the next day, and Yuna was currently standing in the middle of training ground 3 with her hands behind her back and her eyes looking towards the horizon. The typical “I am an unfathomable expert” pose; One of Yuna’s favorites.
Hisoka, who was hiding nearby, felt her eyebrow twitch when she saw Yuna’s pose.
‘Seriously, no matter how I look at it, she is a reincarnated person as well. Why else would she take that kind of weird pose?’
If Yuna had heard Hisoka’s thoughts, she would probably be rather annoyed by them. She just wanted to mess around a little, but accidentally gave Hisoka an additional clue about her identity, because she didn’t expect that this kind of pose existed in Hisoka’s world as well.
A few moments of waiting later, a cluster of shuriken flew out of a nearby forest directly towards Yuna. Yuna wanted to move to the side, to dodge the shurikens, but just after making her first step, two black snakes that looked like they were made out of ink shot out of the ground and bound Yuna’s body.
Yuna slightly shifted her upper body, resulting in the body of the snakes blocking most of the shurikens, while she tilted her head to the side, dodging another one.
Hisoka’s eyes lit up when she saw the snakes binding Yuna and quickly jumped out of her hiding place towards Yuna. As a Hyuga, she didn’t have many options but to aim for close combat, after all. She pushed her palm forward, in an attempt to hit Yuna’s stomach, but Yuna simply sidestepped her attack and tripped Hisoka while sidestepping.
“Hehe, haven’t you seen Hinata’s match against Neji? Hyuga footwork really isn’t that great, huh?”
Hisoka clicked her tongue in annoyance when she heard Yuna’s commentary, but she wasn’t annoyed by Yuna mocking her footwork, but about the Hyuga clan changing absolutely nothing with their training schedules after witnessing Neji’s beatdown.
If the higher-ups of the Hyuga clan weren’t doing anything about it, then Hisoka didn’t dare to do anything either. Well, at least she didn’t dare to do anything when there was a chance that someone would detect her.
A small smirk appeared on Yuna’s face when she saw the slight shift in Hisoka’s stance and moments later, Hisoka attacked her again. Although her movements were still rather similar to before, Yuna immediately noticed what was different.
Yuna sidestepped her attack yet again but this time, she failed at tripping Hisoka as she had already moved her leg out of the way, so Yuna had to jump back a little to dodge Hisoka’s follow-up attack.
“Not bad. Considering your past, it is probably normal that you don’t worship the Gentle Fist Style like the other Hyugas, but you even managed to push me back a little, hehe.”
Yet again, Hisoka’s eyebrow twitched. Although it sounded like Yuna was praising her, considering Yuna still had her hands behind her back and that there were two snakes coiled around her, Hisoka somewhat couldn’t take the praise to heart.
Before Hisoka could complain to Yuna, another wave of Shuriken was launched at Yuna, and at the same moment, Sai appeared, riding on a lion that appeared to be made out of ink and as soon Sai as closed the distance between him and Yuna by about half, Karin appeared from where the shuriken were previously launched from and ran towards Yuna as well.
Yet again, Hisoka started attacking Yuna, but this time she was far more aggressive than the previous two times. Hisoka’s attack, paired with the constant onslaught of shuriken made it harder and harder to dodge for Yuna, but so far she didn’t even have a scratch.
Yuna bent her legs, dodging another shuriken, and jumped sideways, to dodge the descending paw of the lion. While jumping past the lion, Yuna gave its head a powerful kick, causing it to disperse into ink, but before her kick landed, Sai jumped off its back and towards Yuna, who was still in mid-air.
Simultaneously, Hisoka saw her chance and attacked the air-born Yuna as well, while a single chain appeared out of Karin’s back, and shot towards Yuna. After training Karin for a while, Yuna tested whether she can use the Uzumaki clan’s Adamantine Chains, and surprisingly, she could. Unlike Yuna’s or Kushina’s version, Karin’s version had no sealing capabilities and instead focused solely on physical attack power.
Seeing three attacks flying towards her while she was in mid-air, a satisfied smile appeared on Yuna’s face.
“That was pretty decent. I guess defeating a chunin should pose no trouble for you.”
Yuna moved her hands away from her back, and as soon as she did, the two snakes binding her were torn to pieces like they were made out of paper. She gripped Hisoka and Sai’s arms before their attacks could reach her and used them to slightly tilt her body in mid-air to dodge Karin’s chain and then wound one of her legs around it.
She tugged at the chain, and Karin, who thought that Yuna wanted her to lose balance steadied herself by sending chakra to her legs and anchoring herself on the ground.
Unfortunately for her, this was exactly what Yuna, who was flying at Karin now, wanted to happen and before Hisoka or Sai could react, they were pulled by Yuna towards Karin.
Before Karin could fully understand what was going on, Yuna slammed butt-first into her chest, which caused Karin to fall over and while she was falling, Yuna’s legs snaked around her neck.
At the same time, Hisoka and Sai managed to regather their bearing, but unfortunately for them, it was already too late as Yuna smacked both of them onto the ground next to Karin.
When the dust settled, Yuna was revealed sitting on Karin with her legs around her neck, a position that would make it rather easy for Yuna to break her neck, while her two hands were holding kunai at the throats of Hisoka and Sai.
“Well, not bad, all three of you passed my test.”
Yuna stood up and removed the two kunai from Hisoka and Sai’s necks, which caused the duo to stand up as well.
“Yuna-sensei, what kind of crazy move was that?”
Remembering how Yuna defeated them, Hisoka couldn’t help but ask Yuna that question, but Yuna only shrugged her shoulders.
“No big deal, it’s just a matter of good body control.”
Hisoka, naturally, didn’t believe her for even a second. She didn’t believe that that kind of maneuver was possible just due to Yuna having good control over her body, but since Yuna didn’t want to talk about it, she wouldn’t bother with it either.
Surprisingly, what Yuna said was actually the truth. In fact, Yuna was pretty sure that Hinata could copy what she just did if she were to use her Byakugan to increase her spatial awareness. As for Hisoka, Yuna was pretty sure that that was impossible for now, even if she has the Byakugan as support.
“Mhh? What’s wrong, Karin? Why are you still lying on the ground?”
After Yuna finished her explanation to Hisoka, she noticed that Karin still hasn’t stood up, so she asked her for the reason. After asking her questions, however, Yuna saw Karin’s face and couldn’t help but smile wryly.
“Ha~ T-Thank you, Yuna-sama, for the great reward…”
Karin’s whole face was flushed red and there was a slightly deranged smile on her face, while blood was flowing out of her nose and as soon as she finished speaking, she fainted.
Yuna could only shake her head when she saw that.
“Right, she is a pervert. I forgot about that.”
