"Let’s go. We had set out."
The merchant ship had safely arrived at the beach of Whispering Island.
Fang Heng had left the ship anchored at the shore and had handed it over to Howell to take care of. He had only brought Cao Ge, Meng Qingyu, and Muller onto the island.
Just after entering the island’s beach, Fang Heng had smelled a faint jasmine fragrance.
Muller had been deeply wary of the legends of Whispering Island, and at that moment his legs had still felt weak.
If not for the princess’s order, he would have strongly preferred not to come ashore.
Cao Ge had sniffed the air and had frowned, "Such a strong floral scent. Could there be hallucinogenic components inside?"
"Huh?"
Muller had panicked even more upon hearing this and had quickly covered his mouth and nose.
"It didn’t seem so."
Fang Heng had glanced at the game hint and had not received any abnormal warning. He had then released his perception and had rapidly scanned the entire island.
Whispering Island had not been large.
His perception had already been able to cover the entire island in a very short time.
He had found it.
Human auras had been gathered near the central region of the island.
"Follow me."
Fang Heng had led the way, heading toward the island’s central direction. They had quickly left the beach and entered the forest, following a path deeper into the dense woodland.
In the shadows, several pairs of eyes had been watching Fang Heng’s group closely.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!!!"
Halfway through the forest, hundreds of sharp, concealed spikes had suddenly shot out from within the woods.
Fang Heng had already sensed the seven Yake Tribe members hiding in the dark and had raised his hand toward the incoming projectiles.
Instantly, the dense needle-like spikes had been suspended in midair.
"Boom!"
The spikes had exploded into fragments.
The ambushing Yake tribesmen had not expected their attack to be seen through and had panicked, immediately turning to flee.
Trying to run?
It had been too late.
Fang Heng had extended his hand again toward the forest. The seven of them had only run a few steps when they had suddenly felt something seize them from behind. A terrifying force had dragged them backward and had slammed them down in front of Fang Heng’s group.
They had been Yake tribesmen.
They were easily recognizable: dark skin, sturdy builds, and sharp-tooth tattoos on their chests.
Meng Qingyu had walked forward and had kicked one of them. "Hey, get up. Stop pretending to be dead. Speak."
Seeing that they had been captured, the seven Yake tribesmen had immediately knelt down and had begun shouting in disorganized language.
The Yake Tribe had been regarded by various empires as a barbaric race. Although individually strong, they had been relatively isolated, and very few of them had even understood the common world language.
Meng Qingyu had gestured toward Muller with his eyes.
Muller, having seen Fang Heng’s strength, had felt slightly more at ease and had stepped forward to communicate with them in their native language.
Muller’s expression had soon changed. He had then explained to Fang Heng, "They said this place is a forbidden land of God. Anyone who trespasses will be punished by God, and they demanded that we leave immediately."
"God?"
Fang Heng had raised his eyebrows. "Ask them which god they meant specifically."
Muller had exchanged a few more rapid words with them.
"They said it is an all-powerful omniscient god, and warned us to release them immediately, or else divine punishment will descend. They also cursed us quite harshly," Muller had added.
"Uh..." Cao Ge had looked confused. "So even though they’re kneeling and begging, they’re actually threatening us?"
Muller had nodded. "Yes."
Fang Heng had looked at the seven Yake tribesmen kneeling and shouting loudly.
They did not seem to be affected by any psychic force.
It had been more like they were being influenced by an evil god like Zane.
"Make them lead the way. Take us to their so-called omniscient, all-powerful god."
"Yes."
Muller had spoken to them again.
The seven Yake tribesmen had hesitated briefly before standing up and leading the way.
Fang Heng’s group had followed behind.
Cao Ge had sniffed the air again. "Doesn’t the floral scent feel stronger now?"
Muller had shivered. "Could there really be toxins in the air? Is the floral scent masking poison?"
"Don’t worry. There are no toxins in the air."
Fang Heng had spoken calmly.
His perception had been far stronger than Cao Ge and the others.
First, he had confirmed there were no toxins in the floral scent.
Second, the source of the strong jasmine fragrance had been the Yake tribesmen themselves.
It had been strange.
They themselves had been emitting a jasmine-like scent.
Fang Heng had found it somewhat interesting.
Based on current understanding, the Black Sea World had been divided into the Surface World and the Inner World. At least in the Surface World, he did not believe there was anything that could harm him.
After passing through the forest, a small town had appeared ahead.
The Yake Tribe had built a settlement at the center of the island.
A group of people had gathered at the entrance, holding weapons and watching Fang Heng’s group with guarded expressions.
Fang Heng had gestured to Muller.
Muller had stepped forward and had spoken in Yake language, "We are here to seek divine authority. Hand it over. You may state any conditions."
"KAYAKU!"
A middle-aged tribesman had roared and had charged directly toward Muller with a spear.
So fierce...
Fang Heng had narrowed his eyes slightly.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!!!"
In the next moment, the seven Yake Tribe members who had originally been restrained suddenly erupted, breaking free from the chains on their bodies and attacking Fang Heng’s group all at once.
Cao Ge and Meng Qingyu were both startled and quickly protected Muller as they retreated.
Fang Heng stepped forward and stood in front of them. With a slight raise of his hand, he blocked the punch of the Yake Tribe man charging in front.
Bang!!!
The Yake Tribe elite warrior’s pupils contracted sharply.
That punch felt as if it had struck a solid steel plate. The recoil force surging back from it instantly shattered all the bones in his right arm.
How was that possible?
What terrifying strength!
Huh!?
The Yake Tribe elite warrior’s pupils suddenly shrank.
"Bang!!!"
In the next instant, his entire right arm exploded into a cloud of blood mist in midair, and his body was sent flying backward uncontrollably.
The remaining Yake Tribe members froze.
"Kura!!"
One of them shouted.
The remaining few all charged toward Fang Heng at once.
Fang Heng stood where he was and let out a disdainful snort.
"Bang!! Bang bang bang!!!"
Almost at the same time, the six Yake Tribe elites attacking Fang Heng spat out mouthfuls of blood. Both of their arms exploded simultaneously, and their bodies were sent flying backward uncontrollably.
This scene greatly shocked the Yake Tribe members who had been about to rush forward, and they instinctively slowed their steps.
What?
They had set up an ambush in advance and pretended to be captives. Everything had been arranged for that sudden outburst just now.
They had not expected that, although the plan succeeded, the opponent’s strength would be so unexpectedly overwhelming.
They had failed to take him down in a single strike.
Standing behind Fang Heng, Meng Qingyu watched the battle and felt his blood stir with excitement.
Blood control!
King-level blood control!
Without question, the elite Yake Tribe’s bodies had undergone some kind of mutation, and their strength had been terrifyingly enhanced.
But compared to Fang Heng, they were clearly not on the same level. Fang Heng had only used blood control to make both of their arms explode and strip them of their ability to attack. In fact, with a single thought from Fang Heng, all the blood in their bodies could have exploded outright.
