"Elders."

Enoch hurried over with members of the Star Clan, looking toward the Starry Temple, his face anxious. "He’s heading toward the ancestral star source. There’s no one guarding it. If he destroys it, the star fission could undergo a massive change."

Charles and the others’ expressions turned serious as they looked at Fang Heng.

He had really predicted it correctly.

The intruder was terrifyingly powerful; in just a few moves, they had realized they were no match.

Even the three of them together could not defeat him.

"Don’t rush."

Fang Heng focused on the temple ahead and said, "He doesn’t seem to intend to harm the ancestral star source. Let your people retreat first; don’t engage him in conflict."

As they spoke, the ancestral star source suddenly erupted with intense energy ripples.

Brian’s heart skipped a beat, and he pointed toward the source. "Look!"

Centered on the main temple, one temple after another was triggered. Surfaces were overlaid with barriers etched with mystical runes, each blossoming with brilliant blue light.

Affected by the light, the scattered stellar power flowing out from the fissures gathered toward the ancestral star source.

Several Star Clan elders behind Enoch witnessed this and stared in disbelief.

One elder murmured, "The ancestral star source has been triggered... how is this possible? The method was supposed to be lost!"

Who was this invader, and what did he intend?

Enoch asked, "Could that person be an ancestor?"

"Impossible! The ancestors have long been dead."

Fang Heng said, "You stay here. I’ll go take a look."

"Alone?" Brian’s heart leapt. He thought Fang Heng was bold. "Can you handle it?"

Charles said, "We’ll go with you."

After a brief rest, the three had quickly recovered, and Brian’s right side, which had been shattered, had been restored.

"No, you stay. If communication fails, I have a better chance escaping alone."

Fang Heng did not give them a chance to argue. He immediately transformed into a shadow and rapidly approached the temple.

"Whoosh!!!"

Halfway to the ancestral star source, a blue pillar of light shot upward from the central temple.

The person was inside.

A magic array?

What was he trying to do?

Fang Heng’s curiosity surged as he quickly approached the temple below the pillar, landing near the entrance. Carefully, he moved closer to enter, but in an instant, several beams of blue starlight shot out from inside.

The starlight moved extremely fast!

Fang Heng reacted immediately and dodged backward.

However, the starlight had a pursuing ability. After circling around, it quickly returned, entangling him.

"Hmph!"

Fang Heng let out a light hum, and his hands quickly condensed an imprint in front of him.

Death Domain!

He activated it.

Ashen gray spread outward from his feet.

The pursuing starlight was immediately caught by the Death Domain, coated in a layer of gray ash.

"Chi, chi chi..."

Under the dual effects of the breath of Death and Origin Power, the starlight rapidly dissolved.

"Bang! Bang bang bang!!!"

The starlight continuously exploded within Fang Heng’s domain, each explosion producing a heavy, muffled sound.

Fang Heng used the moment of the explosions to slip into the temple.

Huh?

The person controlling the temple’s star source in the center let out a small sound of surprise. He seemed slightly taken aback that someone could block his attack and turned to look at Fang Heng.

Fang Heng’s gaze met his instantly, and he clearly saw the face.

It was him!

Wei Qian!

Wei Qian looked at Fang Heng without much reaction. He paused his ongoing manipulation of the temple star source and spoke calmly, "So it’s you. I was wondering why so many people have been learning necromancy recently. What brings you here?"

Fang Heng frowned, staring at Wei Qian, his curiosity deepening.

The first time he had met Wei Qian, he had sensed something extremely odd. Now, that sense of strangeness was even stronger.

"The Star Clan predicted a great calamity through astrology. They were looking for help at the Martial Apex Tournament. I happened to be looking for a suitable star chart, so I met them. As an exchange, I agreed to help them."

"Heh, astrology, I see. You can predict calamities too. I guess the Star Clan hasn’t completely forgotten their old skills," Wei Qian said, a hint of amusement in his expression. He continued, "If they know a calamity is coming, why haven’t they fled? Aren’t they afraid of death staying here?"

Fang Heng frowned. "What do you mean? You know about the calamity too?"

"Unfortunately, I’ve studied a bit of astrology as well."

Wei Qian lightly tapped the air with his left hand, causing thousands of stars inside the ancestral star source to flow.

Fang Heng squinted.

Impressive!

Wei Qian’s mastery of astrology had reached a remarkable level.

Fang Heng asked, "Did you come here to stop the calamity?"

"Stop it? No, I have no interest."

Wei Qian shook his head lightly. "The sun and moon rotate, the star fission follows its own path. The laws of nature are orderly. I have no intention of forcibly interfering."

"I came for the Nine-Star Fission."

Fang Heng’s brows furrowed. "What? Nine-Star Fission?"

Wei Qian pulled out an ancient-looking book and tossed it toward Fang Heng. "I had already calculated the timing of this star fission. The Star Clan doesn’t know. This is a rare Nine-Star Fission, something that hasn’t appeared before. I only found a record of it in an ancient tome."

Fang Heng caught the tome, frowning slightly.

He had never heard of a Nine-Star Fission.

"This book was written by a predecessor. Its contents intrigued me. In short, you can understand it as our world not being singular, but existing in multiples. This predecessor divided the world into nine different fission time points."

Fang Heng felt a sense of familiarity and asked, "You mean a multiverse?"

"An interesting way to put it."

Wei Qian looked at Fang Heng and nodded slightly. "Let’s put it that way. Including us, there are nine universe worlds, each developing differently. Seven of them are far inferior to ours. I have no interest in them."

"Only the last one remains."

"That world is completely overrun by a creature called the Abyssal Demon. It is said to be extremely strange and terrifyingly powerful."

"On the day of the Nine-Star Fission, the spatial barriers of the nine universe worlds weaken. We can use star power to temporarily open passages between them."

Wei Qian’s eyes showed a trace of excitement. "Fang Heng, don’t you find this interesting?"

Fang Heng frowned tightly.

Interesting?

What was there to find interesting?
