Chapter 964: Xiao Chong Extra: Part 34_3
Chapter 964: Xiao Chong Extra: Part 34_3
Xiao Chong was exceptionally patient, with the willow tree at his back leaving Lin Wanwan no room to retreat. Her face was lifted up, her body pressed tightly against his, allowing her to feel the firm and well-defined muscles beneath Xiao Chong’s thin shirt.
"Open up," Xiao Chong whispered softly, his voice laced with enticing persuasion.
Lin Wanwan hadn’t yet comprehended what he meant when his lips suddenly moved to her ear, tickling her so much that she shrunk her neck and exclaimed "Ah!"
Xiao Chong quickly returned, sealing her lips and launching a passionate attack.
Lin Wanwan felt her scalp tingle as if an electric current surged through her spine. Her hands tightly clutched his shirt, leaving her powerless from the kiss.
After a long while, Xiao Chong finally lifted his face, releasing her.
Lin Wanwan’s face was flushed, her eyes dazed, eyelashes dotted with moisture, and her rosy lips slightly parted as she took a few rapid breaths.
Xiao Chong suddenly smiled, reached out to slightly straighten her disheveled hairstyle, then took her hand, saying in a relaxed tone, "Let’s go, I’ll take you back."
Casually, as if everything that had just happened was merely Lin Wanwan’s illusion.
Sitting on the rear seat of Xiao Chong’s bicycle, Lin Wanwan still felt somewhat bewildered.
Xiao Chong always plays unpredictably, showing gentlemanly restraint during their graduation trip on Hong Kong Island, sharing a room without a heated kiss. Yet now, he suddenly acted crazy by the open-air lakeside of Weiyang Lake.
Lin Wanwan’s heart was left in turmoil by him, unable to speak.
Upon reaching the dormitory building, she didn’t even bid Xiao Chong farewell, jumped off the bicycle, and ran inside as though chased by a beast.
Xiao Chong watched her retreating figure with a smile. He has to constantly remind his little white rabbit that he is a carnivore; she shouldn’t think of him as too benign and needs to slowly get accustomed.
Lin Wanwan ran up to the third floor where she lived, went into the communal washroom, and checked herself in the mirror.
Her face was rosy, and her lips were red to the point of seeming ready to bleed, with a springtime expression remaining in her eyes.
How could she possibly return to the dorm like this! Damn Xiao Chong!
She turned on the faucet and splashed her face twice, cooling her flushed cheeks.
Only when the person in the mirror appeared calmer and more composed, did Lin Wanwan head towards the dorm.
She hadn’t yet reached the inside when she already heard voices coming from the dorm, indicating her roommates were there.
As Lin Wanwan reached the doorway, the voices inside suddenly ceased, and three girls looked over at her simultaneously.
Lin Wanwan presented a standard social smile: "Hi, hello, I’m Lin Wanwan, also a part of this dorm."
One of the girls, a small-statured, dark-skinned girl with big eyes stood up, speaking with a heavy accent: "Hello, I’m Chen Tianying, from Guangdong Province, majoring in Chinese Literature."
"Hello, I’m from Yongcheng, also in the Chinese Literature department."
"Oh, what was your score in the college entrance exam to get here?" The tall girl folding clothes beside the wardrobe laughed, "I’m Wu Xiangxiang from Yu City; our hometowns are quite close."
This Wu Xiangxiang wore braces but was unrestrained in smiling.
"Oh dear! Asking about scores again! We know you’re the top scorer in the humanities department of your province!" The remaining girl in a camisole shouted, then looked up at Lin Wanwan, "She scored 733 in the entrance exam, the top humanities scorer in your province. As for me, I’m a Beijing girl, my scores were probably a hundred less than yours."
Although she spoke of low scores, her expression was vivacious and confident.
Moreover, she was the only one in the dorm wearing makeup.
Lin Wanwan smiled and entered, chatting with them briefly, as the Beijing girl named Yan Yufei casually touched Lin Wanwan’s face: "Wow, you Jiangnan Water Villages really nurture people well; your skin is so smooth."
Lin Wanwan swiftly stepped aside to avoid: "Your skin is nice too."
Yan Yufei shrugged: "It’s because I applied CPB foundation; otherwise, it wouldn’t be this good. Hey, Wanwan, you’re so pretty, you’d be perfect for part-time ceremonial modeling, interested?"
Lin Wanwan curiously asked: "What’s ceremonial modeling? What does it involve?"
"It’s like ribbon cutting at openings, brand events, various gala ceremonies, also known as ceremonial modeling for higher pay, with a chance to meet many celebrities."
Yan Yufei explained briefly and continued: "I earned over five thousand doing this part-time during the summer, plus tutoring, I have an extra ten thousand in spending money for this semester!"
"Whoa—so much!" The Guangdong Province girl Chen Tianying curiously leaned over, joining Lin Wanwan and Yan Yufei’s discussion on part-time jobs.
Lin Wanwan was tempted too, but worried that her courses might be too demanding, leaving her no spare time.
Since being admitted, Lin Wanwan frequently browsed posts from senior students at the campus, repeatedly hearing that Yan Garden harbored exceptional talents, and that the high school glory was of no use here and so on.
Lin Wanwan was scared to death reading those posts; she had no high school glory, with her admission due largely to Xiao Chong’s efforts, luck coming second, she didn’t dare relax here.
She came with the blessings of her entire clan; the clan even specifically opened the ancestral hall and awarded her a bonus. If she were to fail and have to drop out, she would rather die from embarrassment.
