From Sidekick to Bigshot

Qiu Liyao finally met Master Sheng. Master Sheng was known to be difficult to manage.

Zhai Yunsheng was currently playing billiards with Yu Xi. Zhai Yunsheng wore a black shirt. The top three buttons of the shirt were unbuttoned and revealed a large section of his neckline. His muscles appeared to be tight and firm.

This was very different from what Qiu Liyao had imagined. He had initially thought that Master Sheng would appear to look like a sickly person.

Qiu Liyao assumed that this man would look thin and fragile. However, from his appearance, he couldn’t see anything wrong with his health.

Qiu Liyao didn’t dare to interrupt their billiards session. Thus, he waited with Yu Simiao on the side for a while.

He waited until Zhai Yunsheng and Yu Xi finished the match. Qiu Liyao stepped forward with a smile.

“Master Sheng,” Qiu Liyao smiled as he called out.

Zhai Yunsheng turned his head to look at him. A smile formed on his lips.

For the split second when their eyes met, Qiu Liyao felt nervous for no reason.

The last time Qiu Liyao saw eyes that seemed to be able to read the minds of people was when he met the Chairman of the Tianxing Group.

“Play a match with Yu Xi,” Zhai Yunsheng replied as he passed the cue stick to Qiu Liyao.

Qiu Liyao didn’t know how to respond. He didn’t understand the meaning behind Zhai Yunsheng’s actions.

After hesitating for a while, he took the cue stick.

Following that, Qiu Liyao watched Zhai Yunsheng walk towards a nearby sofa and sat down.

Qiu Liyao looked at Yu Xi who was already arranging the billiards. He could only try his best and play this match with Yu Xi.

Yu Simiao walked over to Zhai Yunsheng. He asked in a quiet voice, “Is Master Sheng unhappy?”

“What?” Zhai Yunsheng asked. His voice was magnetic.

There was a faint smile on the corner of his lips. It was like a smile yet not a smile. His eyes were sharp and appeared to look playful and evil at the same time.

Yu Simiao felt his heart sank. He knew that Master Sheng wanted him to say it by himself.

“About the situation where I brought Chairman Qiu to see you.”

Zhai Yunsheng’s right hand kept tapping on the armrest of the sofa. After a while, he slowly said.

“Don’t let this happen again.”

“Got it.” Yu Simiao knew that he had to refuse all visitors from this time onwards.

After that match, it was Yu Simiao’s turn to have a match against Qiu Liyao. Although Qiu Liyao came to talk to Zhai Yunsheng, there was no chance to do so.

Yu XI walked over to Zhai Yunsheng and said quietly, “Master Sheng, thanks to you, I finally have the opportunity to see this guy suffer for a bit! You don’t know how much I hated him when I attended Shenghua High School.”

After a pause, Yu Xi started speaking again, “Also, Master Zhai also gave me instructions to introduce you to some innocent girls.”

Yu Xi didn’t dare to hide this from Zhai Yunsheng. Whatever Master Zhai asked him to do, he would tell Zhai Yunsheng.

This wasn’t the first or second time that Master Zhai had wanted Yu Xi to introduce a girl to Master Sheng.

And as for the reason why he wanted an innocent girl was probably because he didn’t want Master Sheng’s body to be damaged if he did play around.

Yu Xi had an exasperated look on his face. He knew that phrase was not for him to manage the girl but rather, was asking him to manage Master Zhai.

“Master Sheng, I feel that I will die in your grandpa’s hands sooner or later.” He couldn’t lie to Zhai Yunsheng. Thus, he could only help Zhai Yunsheng in fooling his grandpa in Beijing.

Jian Yiling was in her study room at night. Jian Shuxing and Jian Yuncheng came to find her at the same time.

When Jian Yiling saw both of them appear at the same time, she knew something was up.

“Yiling, Father has something to discuss with you.” Jian Shuxing’s brows furrowed a lot. He didn’t dare to look directly at Jian Yiling.

Jian Yiling nodded. Her expression appeared to be serious and calm.

“Your… Your brother… Is coming out of hospital…” Jian Shuxing stammered out. Although his actions in the work environment were swift and decisive, when facing his daughter, his words were scattered.

“Let me say it.” Jian Yuncheng interrupted. “Yunnao is about to be discharged. However, his hand hasn’t become better. We haven’t found someone to operate on his hand for the time being. The hospital has suggested for us to take him back home to rest first. This hopefully will be better for his mood.”

“However, Yunnao still doesn’t want to meet you for the time being. After discussing this with your father, we decided that we are going to send you to your grandparent’s house temporarily. We’ve already contacted them. After you finish school tomorrow, you will be taken there. Pack anything you need today. Tomorrow, I’ll ask someone to deliver it in advance.”

After Jian Yuncheng stopped talking, he waited for Jian Yiling’s response.

Before coming to notify Jian Yiling, Jian Shuxing, Wen Nuan, and Jian Yuncheng had discussed this for quite some time.

They had expected that Jian Yiling might have some extreme reaction.

Then, she turned around to go pack her things.

They assumed that Jian Yiling would cry and throw a tantrum.

They thought about all the possible outcomes other than this one. They did not expect her to quietly accept their arrangements.

Their hearts felt as though they got hit by a blunt object as they looked at the quiet and small figure of Jian Yiling.

“Yi… Yiling… If you need anything, tell father… Father…” Jian Shuxing started as he tried to say something to appease Jian Yiling.

Jian Yiling shook her head. Her face remained soft and calm.
