Chapter 89 - Dark Viper
An hour later, Michael arrived back at his parents apartment, and he had already moved in their place the day before the gaming capsule was installed in his parents’ place.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
But as Michael just stepped foot inside his room, his phone suddenly started ringing, and when he took it out of his pocket, he discovered that it was Miya calling him.
"Hello, what is it?"
Michael said as he answered the call.
"We don’t have our weapons with us yet. Viper mentioned that there should be a pretty big underground market here as this place is one of the most propestorous cities in the country"
"Ahh, yes"
Michale snapped his fingers as he remembered that this people would certainly feel uncomfortable without their familiar weapons at their side, as he was just like them too, and that was the reason he bought a pistol and a pair of daggers before.
"How about we go there later tonight?"
"Okay then, I just hope that place doesn’t disappoint us"
"Ohh..I highly doubt that"
Michael grinned, then hanged up the call, then walked over to his gamin capsule.
"Ahh, shit"
Michael suddenly cursed when he was about to enter as he suddenly remembered that Central is Viper’s hometown, and his "wife" actually works as a hostess in one of the underground clubs.
"I just hope that they don’t see each other, or there would be certainly be a bloodbath. After all, I don’t want that place being reduced to ruins when this "gods" wrecks havoc there"
Michael sighed, as he decided to leave it to fate, and entered his gaming cabin.
*****
Inside the game, Michael appeared inside a lush forest, he was surrounded by trees and flora around him, but that peaceful scenery was immediately destroyed when an explosion and shouting occurred from a distance from him.
Boom!
Michael look towards where the screaming and explosion came from and frowned, before he slowly made his way over there.
During the past few days, Michael finally reach level 20, being the second highest leveled player even though he didn’t register himself in the Leaderboards, while the one in the lead is beating him by a level which really annoys him as he can’t seem to catch up to her at all.
It’s like the player is always a step ahead of him, but it also motivates him, because having a competition wouldn’t be boring at all, and at the same time, there are also those experts from the major guilds just racing behind him by a level.
Then Michael stopped taking his time walking and made a dash towards the where the sounds of battle are coming from.
Meanwhile.
"Priests! Make sure our tanks doesn’t die!"
"Wizards! Keep a look out on your mana, make sure you don’t run out! Take a mana potion if you need to!"
"Tanks, keep up the pressure! Don’t let the High Orcs get pass the line!"
A Priest is yelling his lungs out while shouting orders to the people around him, and there are at least two hundred of them fighting a small tribe of High Orcs, but what they didn’t know is that they are actually attracting attention to them, as small and curious monsters are heading towards them and some of them already there and just observing the battle in the sidelines.
"Put everything in it! We mustn’t let this battle lasts longer than it already is, or we’ll get ourselves in trouble!"
The Priest, called Monday yelled as his expressions changed when he saw some lone monsters watching them from the sidelines.
After all, being ambushed by another group of monsters while doing a raid is the worst thing that could happen.
He would rather have another group of players ambush them, at least they could get back their items by killing them back!
And they already sacrificed a lot just so they could head deeper inside the Forest of Despair, just to come here and kill the [Elite] High Orc here!
"Black Skull"
Michael muttered as a hint of coldness flash through his eyes when he saw the badge on their arms, while hiding behind a shrubbery as he watched the scene in front of him.
’It seems they’re a different group from Judgement’ Michael thought as he didn’t see him anywhere.
’They’re good though’ he praised as he saw that the player leading this group is already Level 18 with the weakest being only 16, and they are currently facing a small tribe High Orcs around Level 17 and 18, with a Level 20 [Elite] High Orc who’s at the back leading its people.
Michael then left them alone, as he already know what would happen to them. After all, Michael had tried to lure the elite monster before, and it didn’t end well, and at the same time, with the commotion that they are making, the possibility of them getting attacked by monsters is not impossible, and it would certainly happen sooner or later.
Michael then decided leave them and headed deeper inside the forest to hunt down those Level 20 monsters called Black Viper.
*****
Michael quickly stepped to the side, as a Black Viper came striking towards him front above the trees, and when their bodies are parallel with each other, Michael quickly slashed his dagger towards the Black Viper causing it to hiss in pain, as a huge humber appeared above its head.
Michael is very cautious towards this monsters because they are very deadly because of their poison, as Michael almost died twice during his encounters with them.
Michael fought the two meter long viper for about two minutes before he managed to kill it with only half of his health left, and if it wasn’t because he was using a gaming cabin that could allow him to execute more strenuous and flexible movements, he would’ve died countless times from these monsters!
"Night is coming, I should go and pick them up"
Michael said as he looked at the time, before deciding to log off from the game after he killed his twenty seventh Black Viper.
