Chapter 3720: Several New Figures
Chapter 3720: Several New Figures
Alex looked at the gathered individuals, each of whom was apparently quite well known around the place. He failed to recognize anyone there except for a young lady in red robes. He remembered the sight of her destroying the stone guardian in a single attack.
Although, he didn’t have her name either.
Aside from her, there were 3 other people, including a half-bald woman with long hair on the back half of her head that trailed behind her.
She was clearly a disciple of the Wandering Star Pavilion.
Alex looked toward Ronron in search of introductions as to who these people were, but she couldn’t recognize most of them based on their features alone.
"The woman called Mengyao must be Zi Mengyao, part of the Violet Mist Sect," Ronron told him, starting with the woman they had first met before moving on to the other 4 who had joined them.
Her eyes moved to a man with a weaker cultivation base than the rest, but who held just as high a status among them.
"He looks like he’s from the Luo family, but I don’t know his name. It could be Luo Mingxia or Luo Sheng. Although, I’m going to guess that the one who competed against Han Zhaofeng during the first week is Luo Mingxia, so this must be Luo Sheng. That means he’s next in line to become head of the Luo family."
Alex raised his eyebrows slightly. He looked toward the young man with a plain expression that revealed nothing about him. He had noticed a man further back who had moved along with the young man, keeping an eye on him.
While his cultivation base seemed quite weak, Alex could see the colorful aura around him that was being clearly suppressed.
’Sentinel for the kid?’ Alex wondered.
His eyes moved to the next person as Ronron spoke of him. Even as she did, Alex could tell from the gray and green robe that this was a junior of the Jin family. He didn’t seem like a womanizer like his other kin member.
Ronron heard him being called Haoran and immediately recognized him to be Jin Haoran, a powerful junior of the Jin family.
The woman from the Hidden Orchid Palace was Lan Suyin, a woman who was quiet most of the time, despite clearly wishing to be involved in the group. She just wasn’t the type to talk.
Ronron caught the name of the woman from the Wandering Star Pavilion a little later, recognizing her to be Xu Tianle.
Together, there was one junior in the current group from each of the seven great pillars.
"How is your cousin doing, Sister Yifei?" Luo Sheng asked. "I hear he killed one of the core disciples of the Silent Night Hall a while ago. They must really want him dead now."
Han Yifei snorted. "Who cares how that idiot is doing? If he’s just going to keep making trouble for the family, I hope he would rather go ahead and die."
Alex looked at her from far away, noticing that she was clearly quite frustrated with the situation.
"I wonder if they’re talking about Han Zhaofeng," Ronron said from the side. "I do remember hearing he’s a violent cultivator who makes enemies everywhere he goes."
Alex nodded. "That must be why he came with a Sentinel."
It was clear to him now that the woman he had seen back then had been a Sentinel as well.
"Silent Night Hall is the assassin sect, right?" Alex asked. "That man must be in quite a bit of danger if he’s made enemies of them."
Ronron could only nod.
"You guys must’ve earned a lot of stars if you’re willing to waste so much of your time going forward," Jin Haoran said. "Is anyone willing to say how much they’ve earned?"
The young man waited for the others to speak, half of whom didn’t seem interested at all.
Fang Xianhai stepped up to the challenge. "I’ve earned over 40 thousand stars. How about you?"
Jin Haoran’s face fell slightly. "Never mind."
"40 thousand?" Ronron whispered in surprise. "That’s as much as the three of us together."
"He must’ve worked really hard," Helen added.
Alex felt his star buzz slightly at that time, notifying him that he had been registered. It wasn’t just him. Several of the people who had arrived at the same time were registered as well.
He looked toward the test site, where large walls made it difficult to look inside. A number constantly flashed, like a timer counting down. According to what Alex could see, he had to wait for another day and a half.
As he waited, he noticed several eyes turning toward him from the group.
Alex looked back and found a few that immediately looked away, while the rest stared right at him. It was clear that either Yifei or Xianhai had told them about him.
One of their eyes seemingly sparkled upon seeing him fully. "It’s you."
The one who spoke was surprisingly the quiet Lan Suyin of the Hidden Orchid Palace.
"Do you recognize him?" Fang Xianhai asked with a rather curious look.
"Do you guys not recognize him?" she asked. "Did your families and sects not get the notice from the Storm God? He’s Dawnblade. The winner of the Alchemy Tournament a millennia and a half ago. The person everyone is searching for on behalf of the Storm God."
The woman’s words caused the world to go silent suddenly as everyone, everywhere, looked directly at Alex.
"I had heard about something like that. Is that him?" Zi Mengyao asked.
"Now that you mention it, he does look similar to the person I saw in the recording of the tournament my father brought back," Jin Haoran said with narrowed eyes.
The others simply stared in a state of disbelief and doubt.
Alex held his gaze upon the group and smiled.
"No point in hiding then," he said with a chuckle. "Greetings. I am Dawnblade. It’s a pleasure to meet you all."
