Chapter 3673: Hidden Orchid Palace

Chapter 3673: Hidden Orchid Palace

Ronron noted the Violet Mist Sect disciples and the disciples of the Hidden Orchid Palace as they passed by.

The disciples of the Violet Mist Sect were simple looking, if not for their confident postures and their expensive-looking violet robes. They were easy to miss if one were simply scanning through a crowd, never searching for them in particular.

The disciples of the Hidden Orchid Palace, however, were not so easy to miss. Not only did they stand out in their bright red robes, they were also all decked out with dazzling jewelry and makeup. All of which was improved upon by the fact that the Hidden Orchid Palace was an all-female sect. And considering beauty was part of the requirements to join the sect, not a single one of them was simple looking.

There would be a beauty in the group of five who could topple human nations, and she wouldn’t even be ranked fourth among them.

While Alex wasn’t swayed by their beauty like many of the other young men around that location were, even he found it hard to draw his eyes away from them immediately.

Just as one of the many groups of the Hidden Orchid Palace’s people walked by them, one of them slowed down for a moment, her eyes moving toward Alex’s group.

Alex reacted the moment she turned, already careful as to whatever it was that she was trying. The woman slowly walked toward them, the other women stopping to watch. As she approached, Alex sensed the woman’s cultivation base.

’A Divinity. Is she their elder?’ he wondered. That was the only possibility in his mind.

The woman raised her head sharply and crossed her arms for a moment.

"Greetings, senior," Ronron quickly spoke up before anyone else could. "May we help you?"

"What sect are you from, young lady?" the woman asked, her question not directed toward Ronron, but rather Liz.

Liz blinked for a moment. "Me?"

"Yes, you. Now, don’t waste my time. What sect are you from?"

"I do not have a sect at the moment," Liz answered.

The woman brought out a talisman and tossed it toward Liz. "Then you can join the Hidden Orchid Palace. You have the looks for it," she said. Her eyes turned toward Helen. "You’re not bad either, but you’re too old for us. Not talented enough."

Her eyes then turned to Ronron. "As for you... if you want to join, you can try too. I cannot guarantee you will succeed."

Ronron’s eyes narrowed, but she didn’t react as quickly.

Alex, however, was a little peeved.

"If your intention is to be disrespectful toward us, then I suggest you keep on moving, senior. No one here will join your sect," Alex said.

Her eyes turned toward Alex, anger seemingly flaring up at once. But the moment she saw him, something changed in her gaze, like a flash of surprise. Something about Alex made her stop for a moment, but it was only for a moment, and the anger came back again, perhaps even harsher because of the single moment1.

"You are a man. Stay out of women’s conversation," the woman said.

"Hey!" Liz raised her voice. "Don’t talk to him like that. Here, I don’t want your shitty talisman."

She threw the paper back at the woman.

The woman caught the paper, a look of surprise in her eyes. "I am giving you an opportunity, and you dare be rude to me?" she asked. "What gives you the audacity to—"

"Is senior Jadeshawl bullying juniors?" a voice called from the side just then.

The woman, who heard her name, snapped her head toward the voice. Everyone else turned as well, noticing a young man standing close by.

The young man slowly walked toward them, holding a small book in his hand, folded shut at the moment with a finger inside of it to mark where he was at.

"Fang Jinhai, don’t involve yourself in matters that don’t pertain to you," the woman said.

"Fang Jinhai?"

"That’s him?"

"He looks so weak."

Several members of the crowd spoke in soft murmurs upon learning about the young man.

The young man stopped a short distance away, a gleeful smile plastered across his face.

"This matter may not pertain to me specifically, but it does pertain to the reputation of our sects and clans. How could I just sit and watch you bully these juniors? My clan’s reputation will tarnish just by association," the young man said.

Alex had already noticed that the young man who had appeared had been from the Fang Clan, but what surprised him more about this young man was his cultivation base.

At Immortal Spirit 4th realm, he was certainly not of the same level as this Divine realm woman. However, he still talked back to her as though he were her equal.

Alex leaned toward Ronron. "Who is he?"

"The most talented junior of this current generation," she said, before turning toward him. "Of the seven great pillars, of course."

"Were they tested in the palace too?"

"No, they have their own artifact or formation, but I don’t know much about it," Ronron said. "What I do know is that he is supposed to have a Battle Power of 5."

Alex blinked for a moment, as he would have never suspected such a thing at all. "A Battle Power of 5?" he asked.

Ronron nodded.

Alex could hardly believe it. That was better than even Scarlet. That truly made him one of the most talented members of the younger generation if he was more talented than a full-blooded Vermilion Bird.

The woman grumbled, having no reply for the young man. She couldn’t get into a shouting match with a junior, and she had no argument she could make where she could put herself as the bigger one in a conversation between herself and a bunch of nobodies.

The woman simply humphed and turned around, walking away. The rest of the women that were with her followed along too.

Alex wanted to thank the young man, but he too simply walked away, resuming the book from where he had stopped.
