Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3671: The North

Chapter 3671: The North

The Red Heaven Realm was created as an alternative to the Godkiller’s tomb, so that those who did remain in the Sky God’s Realm during this time, instead of going to the Three Jewel World, would have something to do.

It was a secret realm set up by the Sky God, who worked together with several other big families and sects to make it happen.

On the day of its opening, Alex and the rest made their way to the northern section of this world. The Sky God wanted Ronron to have the fairest experience during this year’s entry, so she made sure no one would realize that any of them were from her cult.

Ronron had a head full of black hair now, her eyes a dull amber color, her entire being completely different from what someone would associate with the Sky God. At the same time, Helen, Liz, and Battlesage accompanied them as well.

Long Huan was supposed to have joined them as well, but because Graham wasn’t joining, he chose not to join either. If he did, Alex would just have another person to look after, not to mention Hannah would be back soon and he didn’t want her to be alone.

He doubted he could reach the Divine realm anytime within the next thousand years, so he could easily just join the next time the secret realm opened.

Hao Ya, similarly, refused because she just wanted to focus on cultivating.

As such, those 5 were the only ones that were there.

As they arrived in the north where the secret realm was, they were faced with a crowd more massive than anything else they had seen in their entire lifetime.

Littered across an arid landscape, with very few trees or plants, were the participants that would be joining the Red Heaven Realm. Alex was rather shocked by the number of people there, but considering every Immortal in the realm would likely want to join this, it wasn’t actually that surprising.

"How many people are here?" Battlesage asked with quite a hint of surprise. "And every single one is an Immortal?"

"At least an Immortal," Alex clarified. "There should be many Divinities here that were sent by the various families and sects to look after their juniors."

"The last time around, there were close to 8 million Immortals that participated in the tournament-style battle that had taken place," Ronron added.

"Really?" the old man asked. "8 million Immortals. That’s just incredible."

"How many people are there in the Sky God’s Realm?" Alex asked curiously.

"Somewhere between 68 and 70 billion," Ronron said after some thought. "It’s one of the smaller realms, so it’s not as populated."

Alex let out a dry laugh. 70 billion was easily an immense number, but that somehow made the 8 million Immortals look pitiful in comparison. It meant that only 1 in 10 thousand people had chosen to enter this millennia’s Red Heaven Realm.

Their group of 5 passed by many other people as they made their way toward the front where the entrance to the secret realm lay. A pale red barrier covered the front of the realm, which would likely open up to let them in very soon.

They stopped at a relatively open space after a while and looked around at the group of cultivators. Several Sky God soldiers floated around the place, keeping peace for the time being.

"Looks like it’s going to take a while," Liz said. "Do you want me to speed up time?"

"That’s fine," Alex quickly said. "No need to tire yourself out before we get to enter."

"We can cultivate inside," Liz said with a shrug. "We’re likely going to remain inside for many years after all."

"If we don’t lose," Helen said. "Who knows what sort of challenge this year’s trials are going to be. If it’s related to fighting again, I might just lose."

"Don’t say that, grandma. Your body cultivation is strong too. You can do it," Ronron said. "If not, then we can just have father fight in your place if someone tries to fight you. Right, father?"

Alex smiled with a mischievous look on his face and shook his head. "If someone comes to fight you, then I’m going to let them."

"What?" Ronron’s mouth hung open. "But... you’re supposed to protect us."

"From danger," Alex explained. "I’m not going to stop you from gaining experience from a fight. So long as you don’t die, you can eat a pill to heal, and I very much think you all need to gain some battle experience. Especially you, mother. I don’t think you’ve participated in battles, have you?"

Helen frowned slightly. "I never thought I would have to."

Alex shrugged since that proved his point. "I will interfere should any of you be in danger, but for everything else, I will let you handle it. Even if it means that you will lose within the first month of entering."

Liz couldn’t help but sigh. "I guess we will have to do our best then."

They had been talking among themselves for just a while when a group of young men and women made their way toward them.

Alex’s eyes found them before they even got close, and checked their cultivation bases. Most of them were quite weak, only at the start of the Immortal Origin realm, but there were two in the Immortal Transcendent realm, with the man at the front, a sort of leader among this group, having the Immortal Spirit realm cultivation base.

He stopped before their group and bowed slightly. "Greetings. I am Jin Yuelan. May I have the pleasure of learning you fairies’ names?"

Ronron’s face showed some recognition. "Jin Yuelan... as in young master Jin of the Thousand Furnace Clan?"

"Ah! My reputation precedes me," the young man said proudly.

"I have heard of you," Ronron said. "I... can’t say it’s all good things."

"Please," the young man said in a velvety smooth voice that was simply impossible to form naturally. "Whatever you have heard is either exaggeration or outright false."

"I don’t know," Ronron said. "I heard you are a massive womanizer, young master Jin. And by trying to talk with us, aren’t you proving the rumors true?"
