“Either way, the victor decides.” Till Ancestor didn’t ask for mercy.
“Are you not afraid of death?” Li Qiye asked.
“Everyone is afraid of death, immortals included. However, there are things more precious than life.” Till Ancestor said.
“Well said, but I don’t have a reason to take your life since it has no value to me.” Li Qiye smiled, catching Till Ancestor off guard.
Although Li Qiye’s words were insulting, this was indeed the truth. Although Till Ancestor didn’t appreciate the insult, there was nothing he could do about it.
“Nice, Senior, hurry up and thank the immortal.” Mo Xiangsheng came over and whispered.
“What do you want?” Till Ancestor carried himself with dignity on top of being stubborn, unable to curry favor.
“Sit down and drink tea.” Li Qiye tapped the table.

“Your punishment shall be to stay here and guard it.” Li Qiye said.
“Stay here? This is a punishment?” He was surprised to hear it.
Although this was a punishment, staying here meant being nourished by the celestial source. This was extremely beneficial for cultivators.
“Should I bury you here instead?” Li Qiye smirked.
“No, no. I’ll guard this place with my life.” He shuddered.

“Thank you, Young Noble.” On the other hand, Till Ancestor’s skin wasn’t as thick so he only bowed slightly.
Li Qiye accepted the gesture. Alas, his tea time was interrupted by lightning bolts flashing in Heaven Pit. The other two couldn’t spot this.

“Protect this place, I’ll be back.” He stood up and disappeared from sight.

“I don’t know, must be something major.” Till Ancestor said. Only something monumental could move such a monster to action.
“You didn’t see the direction?” Mo Xiangsheng asked.
“Did you?” Till Ancestor glared at him.
“Haha, my cultivation is too shallow, but you’re an immortal.” Mo Xiangsheng stuck out his tongue.
“Hmph.” Till Ancestor snorted in response.
