The Limitless Sword Sect had attempted to recruit him countless times in the past, even though he was already part of the Celestial Sword Sect. Of course, they were never successful. Worse still, in a fit of petty vengeance for choosing the Celestial Sword Sect over them, they had crippled the sect entirely after he died.
"What’s so funny?" the man frowned, a faint unease creeping into his expression.
Su Yang wiped the smile from his face and spoke in a cold voice. "If someone unqualified to teach you asks you to be their disciple... Wouldn’t you also find it laughable?"
"What?! Not qualified?!" The handsome man exclaimed, not daring to believe his ears.
The Limitless Sword Sect was one of the top sects in the Divine Heavens. If they were not qualified to teach the sword, nobody else would dare to claim they qualify!
The man’s face darkened with displeasure. "If you think the Limitless Sword Sect isn’t qualified to teach you, then tell me—who is?"
Su Yang pretended to think for a moment before responding with a warm smile, "If I were to pick a place, it would be the Celestial Sword Sect."
The handsome man’s face froze upon hearing Su Yang’s unexpected answer.
"HAHAHA!"
He suddenly burst into loud laughter, clutching his stomach while repeatedly slapping his thigh.

"Hey." Su Yang suddenly called out, interrupting the handsome man’s laughter. "Judging by your robes, you’re a Core Disciple from the Limitless Sword Sect, right?"
"That’s right." The man confirmed with a prideful head nod.
"If you’re so confident in the Limitless Sword Sect’s sword technique, why don’t we put it to the test right here and now?"
The man raised his eyebrows, looking puzzled by Su Yang’s abrupt challenge.
"Test? Who will test me?" he asked.
With a calm smile on his face, Su Yang raised his arm and pointed at himself.
"You wanted to confirm whether I can use Sword Will, right? This is the perfect opportunity, don’t you think?"
"You want to clash swords with me...?" The man almost couldn’t believe his ears.
Su Yang raised an eyebrow, his voice carrying a hint of provocation. "Hm? Don’t tell me you can’t use Sword Will?"
"Who the hell said I can’t use Sword Will?!" the handsome man exploded with rage the moment Su Yang suggested such a thing.
For a Core Disciple like him, such a remark was nothing short of humiliation.
"In the Limitless Sword Sect, one must at least comprehend Basic Sword Will to become a Core Disciple!"
"Then let’s have a brief exchange using Basic Sword Will," Su Yang then said.
"Right now? And here?" The man asked.
He nodded.
"It’ll only be a single exchange. Are you scared?"
"Of course I’m worried—worried that I might accidentally kill you!" he shouted angrily. "I’m here as a guest. Even as a Core Disciple of the Limitless Sword Sect, I cannot kill a disciple from another sect on their own territory! You might as well ask me to commit suicide!"
"Don’t worry, I promise nothing will happen to you even if you accidentally kill me. I swear." Su Yang said.
He then turned to look at Lin Xinyi and continued, "You’ll be the witness. If anything happens to me, let the others know what I said, okay?"
"Are you sure this is a good idea...?" Lin Xinyi asked with a worried frown.
They were just about to head to the Eternal Yin Yang Caves, so how had they suddenly ended up in such a dangerous situation?
Although Su Yang had defeated Yun Xiao Hong, his current opponent was a Core Disciple of the Limitless Sword Sect, a powerful sect renowned for its combat prowess. Compared to such a figure, Yun Xiao Hong was simply not on the same level.
However, she decided to trust Su Yang.

Su Yang returned to the man and smiled.

The handsome man trembled at Su Yang’s words. Without saying another word, he retrieved a beautiful green sword from his spatial ring.
Raising the sword before him, he declared, "My name is Wang Haoran, and I accept your challenge."

Su Yang retrieved his newly acquired Empyrean-grade sword and introduced himself, "My name is Xiao Yang."
The two of them remained motionless like statues for nearly a full minute. Then, without warning, they both swung their swords at the exact same moment.

"Impossible!" Wang Haoran exclaimed in shock before abruptly twisting his body, as though trying to evade something unseen.

The next second, Wang Haoran coughed up a mouthful of blood. Although he had managed to avoid the Sword Will itself, the aura it released, merely brushing past him, was enough to injure his internal organs.
He hurriedly covered his mouth before turning to glare at Su Yang, his eyes wide with shock and disbelief.
Su Yang calmly met his gaze and said in a disappointed tone, "Was that your best shot? You had my hopes up for nothing. I thought the Limitless Sword Sect had grown much stronger since it managed to defeat the Celestial Sword Sect. If this is your level, I can’t imagine how you managed to defeat them."
"Y-You... who the hell are you?!" Wang Haoran shouted, his gaze trembling with bewilderment and fear.
