Chapter 471: Slaughter Heaven
Chapter 471: Slaughter Heaven
"Feng’er..." Cui Shuyin smiled slightly. She hadn’t interacted with him enough to act this close, but she had a feeling that they would become quite close given Sun Xiurong, so calling him intimately now felt natural to her, "What had transpired between you two and that alchemist?"
Lin Feng was a little surprised at her calling him like that, but he didn’t mind it. It’s good to have the backing of a strong cultivator when you yourself are weak in terms of strength, "We had a slight encounter with him in Mystic Treasure Pavilion, you know how conceited these young alchemists are? So he wasn’t able to hide his true nature..."
Cui Shuyin and Xin Yan got knowing expressions before Cui Shuyin looked at Lin Feng with a slightly amused expression at him using word young alchemist, "So I guess he said something to you, probably trash..."
Lin Feng didn’t agree, but he didn’t deny it either, he calmly took a sip of his tea.
Sun Xiurong’s expression changed slightly upon looking at Cui Shuyin’s knowing expression.
"Anyway, let’s go, Junior Lin..."
Xin Yan emptied her bowl and stood up.
Lin Feng nodded, and after finishing his tea, he followed her towards the deeper area of the pavilion. Cui Shuyin and Sun Xiurong followed behind them.
They arrived at a small garden which was planted with some varieties of tea plants, and among them was a single small plant which Lin Feng recognized immediately.
The cultivation grades of some spirit plants aren’t related to how they produce fruits or flowers, so even if this was only a Late Stage Manifestation Realm tea plant, it could still bear flowers and produce seeds as usual.
"So what do you think, Junior Lin, how long do we have to wait for it to produce flowers?"
Lin Feng shook his head, "Senior, that will depend on you..."
He saw Xin Yan getting confused, so he explained, "This tea plant isn’t something which would naturally grow in this world, so you have to make it grow in a highly dense Immortal Qi environment, or else it would stay like this forever..."
Xin Yan nodded, "That much is a given, I already understand that it is more mystical than this world..." She had tasted it and felt its effects, so it was obvious that she knew its value.
"Then if you can create a Peak Dao Grade Three Qi Gathering Array around it, then it will bear flowers in thirty to thirty-five years..."
Creating an even higher grade array wasn’t necessary since the tea plant would absorb only what it was capable of at its current realm.
Xin Yan’s eyes shone with excitement, "Thirty years is doable..."
"How is that doable? I have to wait thirty years to drink that tea..." Cui Shuyin felt aggrieved slightly.
Xin Yan shook her head, "Junior Lin, since you have helped me, I will remember it as a favor. If you want anything, then don’t hesitate to ask for it..."
Lin Feng nodded, "If I ever need something, then I would definitely ask about it, Senior Xin..."
"That settles it, let’s go, I am not done drinking, brew some of your other specialties, Xin Yan..."
"As you wish, Senior Cui..."
Xin Yan nodded and they come back to their previous chamber.
Lin Feng enjoyed the varieties of tea. Even if they didn’t come close to Emerald Mist Tea, they had their own flavors. He also got to taste the Snow Bliss Tea, and it really lived up to its name. It gave the chill of snow throughout his body after taking a sip.
The night passed with the casual talks of Xin Yan and Cui Shuyin discussing the increased activity of devils near the border and the recent attack on the town.
Soon they were discussing something which garnered Lin Feng’s attention.
"So there is still not much news about this Slaughter Faction, right?" Xin Yan asked in a slightly concerned tone.
"No, I doubt even the evil factions know much about them..." Cui Shuyin shook her head.
"Senior, by any chance are you planning on entering this dimension?"
Cui Shuyin thought for a moment before shaking her head, "I don’t know, but it definitely is enticing enough, so maybe in the future I might give in to the temptation..."
Sun Xiurong immediately frowned but didn’t say anything, while Lin Feng finally got confirmation about who that garden belonged to.
Slaughter Heaven... A sect which was created by Dao Ancestor Sanctified Blood.
The factions created by Dao Ancestors hold immense influence throughout the whole realm, but their presence is usually in the uppermost worlds.
Only Slaughter Heaven had always acted differently.
They had always extended their influence far beyond, and it seemed there was no limit to where they would stop. How much time had really passed through his reincarnation?
He wasn’t sure of that, but given the fact that Slaughter Heaven had reached here and seemed to have been present for quite some time, he could assume that a lot of time had passed.
"Even I sometimes contemplate entering once. After all, this tea plant had been found there too, not to mention it was found by an Initiation Realm cultivator..." Xin Yan sighed in amazement.
Lin Feng had a knowing expression. No wonder this tea plant came to this world.
The Slaughter Dimension is a very straightforward dimension created to be accessible from neighbouring worlds.
All you need is a Slaughter Token. If you got hold of it then you can enter it from anywhere in these worlds as long as you can provide enough Immortal Qi to activate the token.
After entering, you have only one mission, to slaughter or get slaughtered.
If you are successful in killing cultivators, then you will earn slaughter points which can be used to purchase treasures, treasures which are impossible to find in lower worlds like this.
The dimension itself is filled with rare treasures and resources, like Emerald Mist Tea.
Knowing that is enough to entice the greed of even monks, much less normal cultivators.
And this means there is no shortage of cultivators entering the Slaughter Dimension as long as they can get the Slaughter Tokens.
In his previous life, he had come to the conclusion that the Slaughter Dimension was like a giant irresistible trap created by Sanctified Blood, although he wasn’t able to figure out why.
