Chapter 445: Four Dao Runes
Chapter 445: Four Dao Runes
"I have a Peak Initiation Realm herb, here..." The woman took out a spirit herb and passed it to Lin Feng.
Lin Feng took the strange human vein shaped herb with a blood red flower which seemed to be withering.
"Jadeblood Spirit Herb, it will do..."
The woman again eyed Lin Feng as he mentioned the name but stayed silent.
Lin Feng didn’t pay any attention to her gaze and used his Yang Flame.
A brilliant white flame appeared above his palm and he began refining the spirit herb in his hand directly. He didn’t have any Dao Grade cauldrons on him. Using anything lower would be destroyed by his flames.
The woman’s eyes widened and her body trembled slightly as she saw the Yang Flame and when she sensed the purity of the flame she got shocked completely.
She wanted to ask him something but looking at how he was refining, she stopped herself from doing so. She watched silently while getting mesmerized as slowly the spirit herb was refined into pure spirit dust.
An Early Stage Initiation Realm cultivator had just refined a Peak Initiation Realm spirit herb like it was nothing. She didn’t know if something like this was even possible or not. Those flames weren’t only pure, they were far stronger than they looked.
Lin Feng looked at the spirit dust before biting his thumb and placing just above it to let his blood drip down on it.
His blood was highly potent, not only because of his constitution but also because of the Eternal Dao Lotus roots inside his body.
The Eternal Dao Lotus was the strongest spirit herb in every aspect so its vitality was unprecedented in its own realm. After fusing with him it had been constantly nourishing his flesh and blood.
This was the reason why, even with his injured thumb, not a single drop of blood came out. He sighed at his own regeneration and forced out the blood with his will.
A single drop of vibrant red blood tinged with pure yang and immense vitality fell on the spirit dust and Lin Feng immediately began mixing them while controlling their fusion.
This was an important step in any pill formation. The mixing of two elements wasn’t a simple process of combining them, not to mention his blood had hidden chaotic qi inside it.
If he didn’t pay attention then it wouldn’t become a low quality pill, rather it would become a poison.
The woman watched with heated breath, she wasn’t only intrigued by his skill in refinement and pill making but the moment she saw his blood she was stunned thoroughly.
She even felt that one drop of blood would be enough for her to subdue her wound. Just who was this person?
She hadn’t used her spiritual sense to thoroughly inspect him previously as that would be considered rude but she really wanted to do it badly right now.
SHRRKKK!
A faint sound emerged from the successful formation of the pill and when the white Yang Flame retreated a sanguine pill was left floating above Lin Feng’s palm.
Lin Feng shook his head slightly, he could have done a little better, it seemed his skill in alchemy had diminished due to not using it for a long time.
The woman on the other hand looked at the pill with a shocked gaze, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Four Dao Runes, was it an illusion?
"Ohh well, this will do, here take it..." Lin Feng tossed the pill towards the woman as if it was a normal pill, too worthless for him to mention.
The woman’s hand on the other hand trembled when she caught the pill, she couldn’t believe she was given a Peak Grade One Dao Pill with four runes just like that.
This was the first pill with four runes she had held in her hand and it was definitely priceless to say the least.
"A-Are you sure you want to give it to me?"
Lin Feng got amused.
"What was the reason I refined that pill? Not to mention it is not even that good. Now eat it, who knows when your enemies might find us..."
The woman got dumbfounded at his nonchalant behavior. Did he really consider it not good? She hesitated slightly but given her condition she decided to accept it.
"Thank you, I will definitely repay you, if and only if we make it out alive from here..."
Lin Feng nodded while still contemplating what mistake he made in creating the pill. Maybe he should have used more strength while combining them.
That must be it, he still hadn’t completely gotten in tune with his current strength and this would definitely affect such a delicate process.
The alchemy skill required to create Dao Grade pills was far different from the alchemy he used in lower worlds.
The classification of pills was also different. Those lower to perfect tier pills did exist but no one cared for them as they were basically discarded products of failed alchemy for those who walked the path of alchemy.
In fact anything below perfect was basically due to imperfect spirit herbs, since Dao Grade herbs should always produce perfect pills with the slightest effort.
The real classification of pills started with the pill runes, generally known as Dao Runes.
Creating a pill with one rune was what most alchemists were easily able to achieve but transcending even to a second rune needed immense effort.
Going further than the second rune didn’t only demand effort but also talent and comprehension in the Dao of Flames or any element which was used for the refinement of pills.
The path of alchemy wasn’t easy but many cultivators sought to walk this path for one simple reason, respect and status.
This was because the demand for pills in the cultivation world was far greater than any other profession.
If you were even a slightly famous alchemist then your strength didn’t matter since you would definitely be more influential than your peers who might be stronger than you.
