Chapter 1829: Chapter 1767: The Princess Consort Is Fierce
Massacre!
Those soldiers intend to slaughter the miners and eradicate all traces completely.
"Ah Jiu!" Wufu watched those miners scream and hide everywhere only to meet their fate under the blade, his eyes blood-red.
Marquis Xuanwu, he is utterly inhumane!
"Commander Du, when will the others arrive?" Ah Jiu asked, "Send someone to meet them quickly and provide support, also guard the valley entrance, let none escape. Yuan Ye, signal our people to come."
Commander Du nodded, called over two trusted soldiers, and gave them instructions, while Yuan Ye threw out a purple signal flare.
"Let’s go down!" Ah Jiu waved his hand.
At his command, everyone rushed downwards, like a roc spreading its wings.
"Chi Wu, Xiao Qi, Mo Lan, protect the Princess Consort." Ah Jiu ordered, and he too charged downward, with Liang Bang closely following.
Xiao Qi received the order but did not rush downward like the others. Instead, he stayed by Wufu’s side.
Wufu looked toward a big house where there seemed to be firelight and said, "Let’s go to that house." With that, she headed there.
Chaos erupted in the valley, the sounds of fighting and screams echoed, alarming everyone.
Wufu and her group swiftly passed through the valley, effortlessly killing a few soldiers as they headed straight for the house she indicated.
"Marquis Xuanwu is imprisoned, surrendering will spare your life." Ah Jiu shouted to the young soldiers.
Some hesitated for a moment, but instantly, a man in black decapitated one swiftly.
Ah Jiu’s countenance changed; this must be Marquis Xuanwu’s Hidden Guard. He quickly warned, "Everyone, be cautious."
Liang Bang’s arm was injured by a sudden black-clad assailant, his sword almost slipped from his grasp, and before he could regain his hold, the attacker’s hand reached him.
Suddenly things blurred before him, someone flashed past, and the neck of the black-clad attacker spurted a line of blood, splattering his face, causing the attacker to collapse.
"Do you want to die? Daydreaming?" Wufu shouted sharply, then leaped back to swiftly slit another soldier’s throat, instructing Chi Wu: "Chi Wu, head to that house."
Chi Wu darted his toes lightly, flying toward the house.
Liang Bang wiped his face, glanced at the dead black-clad figure on the ground, and saw Wufu lightly leap like a butterfly toward the upper house, causing him to blink.
He realized he truly lacked the foresight, unable to recognize greatness right before him— the Princess Consort is fiercely formidable!
He charged towards another black-clad figure, determined not to keep needing rescues.
Chi Wu kicked open the wooden door; inside, a tall man was tossing something into a fire basin. Seeing Chi Wu, he immediately threw everything on the table into the flames.
"Stop him." Wufu shouted.
Chi Wu darted inside, kicked over the fire basin, ignored the flying sparks, and started fighting with the masked man.
"Miss, be careful."
Mo Lan pushed Wufu forcefully, as someone leaped from the beam, plunged a sword into her shoulder, then withdrew, causing her to grunt.
Xiao Qi let out a wolf howl, grabbed at the assailant with both hands from below.
Wufu turned around, saw Mo Lan’s shoulder stained dark red, her expression shifted, and without thinking, she tore off her hem to bind her wound.
"You’re hurt. Gather those paper records." Wufu directed Mo Lan, she then drew the Whip from her waist, activated a mechanism, and aimed it at the man’s neck who was grappling with Xiao Qi.
