Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5026 No Deviations?

Chapter 5026  No Deviations?

"Just be careful and be mindful. Don't get too cozy. Dragons are innately horny. Even if he doesn't have any thoughts on you now and is only trying to survive, he will eventually feel different. I'm speaking from the male experience… uh, don't hate me…"

"…" Celestia suppressed a giggle before she forcefully nodded.

"What are you looking at?"

Davis's expression darkened again as he glared at Barakiel.

Barakiel lowered his gaze, not daring to look anymore.

Celestia remembered something, "Father, I completed the mission of freeing the magical beasts in the various parts of the sanctuary with Mother Stella's help a few weeks ago."

"Is that so?" Davis nodded perfunctorily, still glaring at Barakiel, "That's great."

Celestia saw that he was still intimidating him.

In that case, it seems like she could only sigh for her future husband, as chances are that he was going to be bullied.

Nonetheless, she complained towards the main issue.

"What's so great about it? Due to these foreign magical beasts, the cities in the sanctuary have started encountering magical beast tides. It wasn't like they started it, but now, the wild magical beasts act much more intelligent, even using strategies like hiding and burrowing from the ground to disrupt the forces and break formation arrays, engaging in what Mother Mingzhi might call Wyrm Warfare rather than just smashing their heads against the walls and the formations due to their hunger…"

Davis refocused his gaze on Celestia.

Back then, when he had plundered the Temporal Voidplane Ring from Almer Spacewill, it held many humans, magical beasts, and spirits as prisoners.

He had released most humans, but he had not released the magical beasts and spirits since they were his spoils of war. There were as many as 788 magical beasts, of which 54 were King-Tier, and 17 were at Emperor-Tier. As for the spirits, there were as many as 459.

At first, Stella released the Stellar Empyrean Gatecaller Spirits. They were extremely useful in being able to hide Stella's weakness.

By this time, they had come to worship the Void Dust Tree as they made a tribe around Stella.

Quite a number of spirits and magical beasts were also released to populate the sanctuary, but almost all the King-Tiers and Emperor-Tiers were still kept in the Temporal Voidplane Ring, except a few.

Releasing them into the wild was just asking for trouble, but those few were already enslaved by the Davis Family, seeded at various locations for some reason.

Davis paused before asking, "Do you feel that our family is cruel?"

Celestia shook her head, "No… I know we cannot keep the sanctuary's economy running on freebies, so this is necessary, but still, a lot of people are going to die."

"That's just the way it is." Davis wryly smiled, "I have no intention to change the natural course of the world other than protecting and providing for our family. Then again, have you noticed people are more happy fighting for the things they want rather than getting it freely?"

"…"

Celestia was a bit taken aback before she nodded, "Their faces change into one of pride when they snatch the magical beast core from their carcasses. As they increase their strength through their own effort, their happiness is boosted significantly despite the losses."

Davis watched Celestia comprehend his intentions before he nodded.

"The world does not give anyone a chance to catch a breather. It is constantly changing, so people have to change with it as well. Right now, the world is changing because of me, desolate air wreaking havoc. See? The desolate air has started invading our sanctuary, too. It will seep in bit by bit, and I guess in two months, it won't be any different than the outside. If people do not seek to improve themselves, what happens in the future cannot be handled by them. Look at us. Can any of us really get comfortable in this chaotic world?"

Davis waved his hand and pointed at himself before he sighed.

"I understand, father."

Celestia nodded obediently before smiling, "Congratulations. You worked hard, Father."

She then tapped Barakiel with her feet and let him fly down.

Barakiel couldn't wait to leave. He quickly flapped his wings, descending to the Davis Family Estate like a diving sparrow.

Davis remained stunned in the air, unable to believe his daughter had just teased him.

"Wha-! My lovely Celestia! How can it be like this? She's now as naughty as Eterna!" He cried out to the skies, appearing to scream out his grievances.

Celestia giggled as she descended.

Davis screamed out for a bit more before he stopped creating a fuss.

It seems like they were tired of gaining more siblings, but Davis had no intentions to stop.

He then looked down at the estate and tried to track the maid, wondering where she had gone as the maids did not only work in the Davis Family Mansion and could go anywhere between the newly setup mansion in order to help the wives.

It was fine as long as they didn't go out of the estate.

There were always the Reaper Soul Legion patrolling here. They were guarding them from dangers, but also monitoring them.

With his impeccable eyesight, he quickly found her heading to Fiora's mansion and descended halfway.

"…!?"

The maid nearly jumped when she saw Davis suddenly descending from the skies, her body trembling as if struck by lightning.

"Ma- Master Davis…!"

She hurriedly bowed, her voice quivering. Even though she had seen him before, the pressure he exuded now was on an entirely different level. It was suffocating, like standing before a silent abyss that could swallow everything whole.

Davis glanced at her briefly, his expression calm, but it inevitably carried an invisible weight that pressed down on her soul. He couldn't do anything about this unless he loosened himself and acted goofy, but he had to maintain his solemness in front of the maids.

That was one of the things explicitly expected from him since his wives wanted to stay away from them. It was a ruling from the Harem Council when they started accepting maids.

"Isn't your name Jenna? Where are you heading?" Davis raised his brows.

"I-I was going to Lady Fiora's residence, Master. Lady Fiora requested assistance with rearranging a few pieces of furniture since young master Arc broke them after practicing cultivation…"

Jenna's head remained lowered, not daring to meet his gaze.

Davis's eyes flickered.

Arc started his cultivation? That was something he looked forward to.

The maid was wondering why she had been singled out like this and whether she had made any mistakes or done something wrong when she suddenly heard.

"Is that so? Then- this might sound strange, but I want to ask. Did you happen to fall recently?"

Davis asked with narrowed eyes.

He wasn't going to ask Fallen Heaven about this since he didn't want any deviation in fate.

"…"

The maid's expression inevitably froze
