Chapter 5009 Nearly Dead?
Chapter 5009 Nearly Dead?
A miserable figure crawled on the ground.
Blood kept flowing from this person endlessly, nearly forming a lake as it slid down the mountain and gathered in a courtyard, mixing with the pool. A bevy of beautiful fairies who were bathing naked had all met a terrifying end, but they did not die; instead turning into scowling flesh monsters that appeared like wraiths devoid of humanity.
Even though they appeared to be Autarchs, they couldn't withstand the savagery of the blood.
In front of the miserable figure, a few dozen people were seated around him, all masked or eclipsed in hoods and disguises.
They were quiet, watching the crimson puddle with vague expressions after their initial clamor.
They noticed this man crawling like a worm, reaching out with his hand as though he wanted a hand to get up, when they knew in reality he was far from just wanting to stand up, but at the brink of heaving his last breath.
This appeared to be some sort of golden opportunity, but none of them moved, looking at him with a snicker in their expressions.
"Did you hit yourself with a karmic attack so you can lead us to believe you're vulnerable?" One man said with mocking laughter.
"Accursed Warlock, there's no need to test our brains. We are all gathered here for benefits, so there's no need to put on a play."
"Fuck your mother!"
Blood spurted from the Accursed Warlock's mouth as he cursed explicitly, seemingly having no chill.
It made the ones who spoke glare at him with silent rage.
"I got caught by the Celestial Transcendent's ambush. He directly performed a chaos-karmic attack on one of my possessions…!"
"…!?"
The people with high cultivation bases directly stood up, their expressions quivering.
"Quick, heal me or else, I'm taking you all down with me."
"Heh!" Someone in the crowd sneered, "Do you even know us?"
At this moment, the Accursed Warlock smirked coldly, "Say my name, and you shall receive the answer. Even a whisper will do…"
The people appeared suspicious. However, they didn't seem to be afraid because they were all-powerful.
"Fraser Herrion…"
When they mentioned the Accursed Warlock's name in a whisper, there came a voice from the void that repeated their own name, making them shudder.
Unexpectedly, the Accursed Warlock knew all of their identities!
A suffocating silence followed.
The echo of their own names did not come from the Accursed Warlock's lips or soul transmission, nor from any visible direction. It resounded from within their souls, as if something unseen had peeled back the layers of their existence and spoken from the depths.
One by one, their expressions changed.
Mockery vanished, and wariness set in.
They knew he was a supreme genius who was extremely cunning and evil, but they didn't expect him to be able to know all of their identities. It seemed like they had underestimated this scourge quite a lot.
The courtyard felt colder.
The pool beneath the colder was quite ominous.
The wraith-like fairies in the blood pool began to stir, their hollow eyes turning toward the seated figures. Their lips twisted into grotesque smiles as threads of black-crimson energy slithered out of the lake and coiled around their limbs like living veins. Their prowess increased slightly while their cultivation base began displaying signs of breakthrough.
*Bang!~*
When they took a flight, a mysterious force descended and crushed them all to death.
A dozen High-Level Autarchs died just like that, the pool becoming a blood lake with screams of despair and hatred.
"Everyone,"
At this moment, a person who was a common connection between them all, the host of the gathering, spoke.
His voice calmly echoed, "I will take care of this issue, so we don't need to worry. Accursed Warlock, are you willing to owe me a favor?"
"Heh~" Accursed Warlock spat a mouthful of blood on the floor with disdain, "It depends on whether you are courageous enough to make me owe a favor to you."
"That settles it then."
The masked host nodded and got to the point, "This time, we don't have time to speak since it is possible the Celestial Transcendent might appear here if he could trace the karma. Since that's the case, let's disband for now and deal with the issue of the Divine Emperor of Death and the kidnapping of Jiayi Crystalveil later."
"Later?" Someone in the crowd coldly snorted, "The Celestial Transcendent might've taken custody of Jiayi Crystalveil now. What kind of plan or initiative do you recommend for us to visit his home or stronghold? Do you want to die without a trace of your corpse for an improper burial?"
"That's enough. We will tackle this issue later." The host said coldly, his voice instantly silencing a lot of people since they knew the host was also more or less privy to their identity.
"Hmph!"
That person harrumphed coldly before disappearing.
It seemed like some of them were only projections, while some were real, present in the scene, but they didn't seem to be real bodies, except Accursed Warlock, who came all the way here like a daring fool, his intentions unclear.
Once everyone left, only four people remained.
One was Accursed Warlock, still lying on the ground and coughing out blood miserably, and the other three were two white-robed men and a black-robed man, all of them hooded and masked.
"You're insanely amazing." One of the white-robed men exclaimed, his eyes looking somewhat crazed but respectful, "I had just appeared in the Eon Descent Alliance for the first time, but you already know my identity? Simply amazing."
"It's not difficult to guess when you know the host's identity and your recent appearance and alliance within his realm."
The Accursed Warlock said with bated breath, "But I doubt you're the one who's going to heal me, Saint Riyal Mendez."
"Hey, you can't just expose my identity like that!" Saint Riyal Mendez flipped as he pointed at Accursed Warlock.
The host nodded, "Indeed, it's not him who's going to heal you but this esteemed person. Tell me, did you manage to guess his identity? If you can tell, I'll even waive the favor you will owe me."
"…"
