Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4982 Which Family Are You From?

Chapter 4982  Which Family Are You From?

Regenn Xsan's face was flushed with fury.

His finger pointed at the fleeing caretaker, intending to chase him. However, he suddenly turned to look at Davis, brimming with anger yet managing to suppress it as he forced a smile.

"Esteemed guest, what is the meaning of this? Wasn't my goodwill enough?"

He slowly revealed his aura, revealing his cultivation that was at Level Seven Immortal Emperor Stage. His prowess didn't seem to be comparable to that of supreme geniuses, but had certainly reached the level of ordinary geniuses.

"What do you mean? I know a talent when I see one, so I can't help but just want to aid them."

Davis shrugged, causing Aila to giggle.

Initially, she wondered what Davis was up to, giving large amounts of immortal crystals away, even though it wasn't even 0.0001% of his wealth. The reason soon unraveled itself when he mentioned Warsten Xsan.

The other party supposedly possessed a death-attributed physique.

Considering the random deaths of the farm's magical beasts, Aila guessed his bouts of insanity were already starting. After all, death energy users were prone to going insane. She could tell that Davis wanted to meet him again, although she couldn't tell if he wanted to experiment on him or recruit him, but she supposed this could be considered goodwill.

"You think you can strut your power around here just because the capital is in chaos? Which noble family are you from? The Haras Family? The Voldino Family?"

"…?" Davis shook his head, "I suppose you would be wrong to assume I'm from one of them or-"

"It doesn't matter." Regenn Xsan interrupted with his raised hand, "I'll have you know this farm is backed by the second prince, his highness, the next ruler of the Golden Radiance Empire. If you want to apologize, then this is your chance. Let me see your sincerity."

He widened his eyes, appearing smug yet insane.

Regenn Xsan was well aware that these two could be Empyreans, but he decided to brave the danger because he was confident of his backing.

"Oh, so it's the second prince…"

Davis instantly extended his hand to hand over the spatial ring.

Regenn Xsan harrumphed coldly before reaching out his hand. However, he missed it, causing him to be led around by some strange motivation to grab the spatial ring no matter what as he spun a full three-sixty.

His expression churned with fury at the Empyrean in front of him, who was just playing with him, making him nearly growl but suppress himself again.

"Heh, you will know…"

He coldly spat out a few words before walking away.

"Pff~ahahaha!"

Before he could even leave, Aila burst out with laughter, making Regenn Xsan's face increasingly dark as well as pink, flushed with shame.

He couldn't believe he was led around by the nose like that. The other party wasn't so simple, but he didn't think of losing one bit. Ultimately, he guessed that this would become a battle of attrition.

Deep inside the farm, the caretaker finally met the old master and explained the situation outside.

The old master's face grew peculiar.

Each of these Rosy Cotton Rabbits, although just requiring around 30,000 High-Level Immortal Crystals to 2,000,000 High-Level Immortal Crystals to nurture, depending on the level they were in the Immortal Emperor Stage, even with others costs, the farm was making a lot of profit by selling each Rosy Cotton Rabbit at a rate of 10,000,000 High-Level Immortal Crystals, no matter the cultivation level.

In fact, most of the rabbits were still at the Low-Level Immortal Emperor Beast Stage, so their nurturing costs wouldn't be more than 100,000 High-Level Immortal Crystals per rabbit. Unless the farm was planning on raising these Rosy Cotton Rabbits to Level Seven and above, their nurturing costs wouldn't be so exorbitant.

It could be said that the farm had made three hundred times the gain without spending much effort in the initial transaction.

Yet, Regenn Xsan tried to gain more and even managed to gain around four hundred to six hundred times the profit. It should be more than enough to last hundreds of years and raise his cultivation smoothly, but now, although the transaction wasn't lost, it was squandered.

"Trash!" The old master cursed Regenn Xsan before glaring at the caretaker, "I want to see who this newcomer is who dares to be bold as to make such a request! Which noble family is he from?"

"Forgive me, old master. I couldn't recognize their background, but I feel that they are extremely powerful."

"Useless, move out of my way."

The old master waved his hand as his Level Three Empyrean Stage undulations exploded outward, causing the caretaker to be sent flying. He stood up and left the place, soon appearing before Davis along with his son.

However, different than his earlier attitude, he completely did a one-eighty as he grabbed his sixteenth son's head and forced him to bow.

"We are extremely sorry, respected patron. Please accept our apologies and take the Rosy Cotton Rabbits for free. It requires no payment."

"Hmm."

Davis nodded as though it was nothing before

"Father, you-" Regenn Xsan turned to look at his father incredulously.

*Pow~*

But a furious, resounding slap sent him flying into the ranch. He went and somehow landed on the magical beast feces that is great as a fertilizer for growing crops.

"Haha…" The old master appeared quite awkward as he turned to face Davis.

"As our esteemed patron can see, I have disciplined my son and will continue to do so. He had eyes but couldn't recognize your great self. I hope we can let bygones be bygones and-"

Davis interrupted with a wave of his hand, "No worries. As for my demand of making Warsten Xsan your farm's manager, you can do as you like. All I would say is that it would be a pity if you do not attempt to aid Warsten Xsan and silently watch him fade away into obscurity. I hope you have a good day."

"Have a good day." He returned the greeting and the spatial ring before watching them leave with the rabbits after having personally provided them with assistance on how to take care of these magical beasts.

The caretaker nearly jumped in joy as he still received his commission, but he stayed silent, planning his slow exit since he had already offended the sixteenth son.

Afterwards, the old master went to pick up his son from the pile of shit before throwing him into another pile of shit in another ranch.

"Trash! How dare you offend a High Stage Empyrean like him? I can't even measure the true extent of his power, yet you want us to face him without any explicit consent from the second prince? Hmph! If I didn't punish you this way, the second prince would cut us off and make sure he doesn't offend this esteemed guest. You really must have dogshit for brains. Go fall on another pile of shit by yourself. Trash!"

The father repeatedly cursed, even uttering the word 'trash' as though it were a catchphrase.

He then turned to look in the direction of Warsten, wondering how this wastrel son of his caught the eye of that expert.

"Strange… nearly two or three weeks ago… another hidden expert also recommended the same…" He muttered under his breath, unsure of what was going on in his own farm or even the capital, as the situation seemed to be constantly changing.

========

In an abandoned forest, Davis and Aila appeared.

"Release the one you like. I'd like to try and see if I can allow that lucky rabbit to improve its bloodline tier."

Aila nodded and took her time selecting, although she didn't do anything other than wander around the forest a bit before reappearing before Davis.

"I stopped in the northeastern direction and returned while aimlessly wandering, so it would be this rabbit jumping in the upper right corner inside the life ring…"

She waved her hand, and a Rosy Cotton Rabbit appeared beside her.

It's big, rosy pupils reflected Davis before its mouth squeaked, running away immediately as it hopped to the side, but a translucent net of soul force emerged and captured it.

"Haha, how harmless…"

Davis chuckled lightly. A normal magical beast, even those three that the caretaker had shown, would've chosen to attack, but the Rosy Cotton Rabbits had a soft temperament. However, that didn't mean they were harmless since Davis knew these rabbits would make their move after seducing and making their opponent vulnerable.

However, seducing didn't necessarily mean that they would engage in intimate acts.

Any wild Rosy Cotton Rabbit would cause their opponent to think it was weak. That was their prime way of battling. When the opponent eats it alive, devouring a part of their meat, which also includes their sweet flesh, the opponent ends up becoming charmed. The rest is history, with the Rosy Cotton Rabbit starting its counterattack.

But this Rosy Cotton Rabbit seemed domesticated and dumb to even try such a thing with him, immediately running.

Davis was amused to say the least, finding them incredibly cute.

Nonetheless, he began his work.
