Chapter 4924 Going Around The Estate
Chapter 4924 Going Around The Estate
The pressure was intense.
It made Lydia grab her skirt as she forced a smile, "Yes, my Amethyst Eversoul Radiance Physique is more suited toward the immortal path, according to my little research, like mother. I would like to continue with it and use astral cultivation as support, as most astral cultivators do, or so I heard."
"Alright," Davis nodded, "If you change your mind, let me know. The same goes for other children. Don't get fixated on a single path unless you're absolutely sure of it. Your father didn't become powerful by choosing a single Law to stick with. Naturally, you'll lose a lot of time and relationships, unable to meet each other, remaining stuck in seclusion chambers, going out on adventures to comprehend Laws and find suitable treasures. However, that is the necessary price to pay for absolute power."
"Thank you for the valuable advice, father~" Lydia responded. She cupped her hands.
The other children also did the same.
Although they could be chummy with their father and everyone else in the family, they needed to be respectful and thankful when being taught.
Davis turned to look at Ellia and kissed her forehead.
"Anyway, I got this. You all need to stop hiding like assassins creeping above the rooftop. If Lydia realizes, she might really flip."
"Then I'll leave… but are you fine? Mingzhi said you were also scared of what she garnered from your voice."
"Of course, I'm scared, but that was before knowing Natalya's issue. For some reason, I don't think it can get any worse."
"…" Ellia shook ever so lightly.
"…" Davis hugged her firmly, "Don't be mistaken, thinking I'm not caring enough. It's just that- I think I can deal with this easier than dealing with Natalya's issue. Lydia is our daughter. There's no change to that in my heart."
"…" Ellia gazed at him, her eyes nearly moistening as she heard him reassure her once again.
She nodded and turned to wave goodbye to the kids, quickly leaving. Even her shadow couldn't be seen, and the presence of Mingzhi and the others disappeared, causing Davis to inwardly heave a sigh of relief before he turned to look at them.
"Alright, my dear children. What's the next place to go?"
Quentin's eyes brightened, "The Imperial Garden! Mother Everlight lives there, and we can bring Evergrace and Everdream too~"
'Ah no, not the helpless toddlers…'
Davis inwardly smiled, "We'll go there later."
He certainly didn't want to involve the two baby princesses in this issue. Involving the other kids was already crossing his bottomline but he felt it was required to get Lydia to remain sane. She loved this family, and to that end, he intended to show her around, indirectly pointing out what she would miss if she were to do something insane.
He didn't know if this would have any effect or not. Regardless, he also liked to go around and check if any other reincarnators or villains popped up.
With his Level Three Obscure Intent in Enigmatic Heart Laws, no one could hide from him. Even the difference in aura of Wills that not even Myria could sense currently was exposed.
He could never be too cautious after all the strange things that happened.
One mansion after another- they moved around the huge Davis Family's Estate.
It seemed to have expanded a lot after he had left, no longer just confined to the main mansion where he, the harem, and the children lived. Fiora seemed to have taken up residence on a small mountain peak. Like her, many others did the same. After all, it was simply impossible to be cramped up in one building and cultivate to their heart's content.
Not only were they getting stronger, but the area of cultivation must suit their cultivation needs. It was simply foolish for all of them to be stuck in one place.
Hence, they expanded.
This expansion plan was already approved by him long ago, but they never had the time to execute it until he left. For one reason, they didn't want to be away from him, so they stayed closer to him.
Quentin and the others followed Davis. They went around, greeting their mothers and enjoying the scenery while continuing to discuss many matters, no matter whether it was childish or carried high-level cultivational aspects.
Davis spent a good half a day wandering his estate, even going to places he hadn't been to.
He felt like he had found a backyard to his own home for the first time.
Embarrassingly enough, the children knew more places than him. Regardless, he didn't feel ashamed since he knew he was doing his best to become the pillar that never shatters. He met and slightly romanced his wives who hadn't come to see him, although most of them were still in seclusion, increasing or consolidating their cultivation from the influx of new resources.
The children naturally protested, wanting him to spend more time with them instead.
As they paraded around, the children of Class Two and Class One also joined.
Davis occasionally cast a glance at Lydia just as he would do for other children. It no longer garnered suspicion from her because he hadn't hounded her anymore. Moreover, he could tell that Lydia became more and more confident that she wasn't going to be harmed because more and more of her siblings joined them, allowing her to play around cheerfully.
He threw a glance at Arc, grasping hands with Lydia as they walked, an amused smile appearing on his lips.
'Interesting… Lydia really does have more affectionate emotions toward Arc and vice versa… they're really close… no wonder she exposed herself for him…'
He became more curious, feeling a taboo feeling before he checked their karmic threads. When he saw a refined and familial pink thread connecting them, he inwardly heaved a sigh of relief.
When he met Arc, he already scolded him for dispersing his own cultivation without asking for guidance and permission. Arc looked apologetic, but he wasn't regretful, so Davis asked him how it was going, and Arc said-
"Father, I think I can connect with an Empyrean Rank Star- no, something above it."
That one line shocked him, and he didn't ask anymore because the other children were around. He noticed even Lydia's eyes went wide in pure disbelief.
After all, if Arc could connect with an Exalt Grade Star, that meant his astral sensory capability had already reached an extreme level!
The Third Layer was where the weakest stars exist. They range from Mortal Rank to Immortal Rank. These were shallow, and the energy one could absorb from them was limited.
The stars in the Second Layer climb from Immortal Rank to Empyrean Rank, and the First Layer Stars climb from Immortal Emperor Rank to Exalt Rank. Although this might not be fixed, if Arc could sense Exalt Rank Astral Stars and try to form a connection with them while being a mortal, then that meant his sensory ability could even pierce through the Three Layers and enter the First Layer or even beyond.
Davis finally understood why Arc could be commended as a one-of-a-kind supreme genius in this field of cultivation.
Even he had admitted defeat in this field since he couldn't sense an iota of astral energy through his perception. The stars were too damned far away!
