Chapter 4678: A Calamity Gone?
Chapter 4678: A Calamity Gone?
After considering, Davis opened his mouth.
"It’s not a problem for me to convince others, as I can placate them even if they were to find out while Frostrose and I are literally doing it. I also find a bit of excitement in our clandestine meetings, so I would like to continue, but clearly, this isn’t good for her future. Why would she do this?" He sounded helpless, "If she really wants to enter the harem, no one would mind. I suspect she already has pre-approval from most, so why does she do this?"
"As she said," Evelynn giggled, "She feels sinful and unworthy. She considers our harem a sacred place and has no place for her unique desires, or rather, if she enters the harem, she wouldn’t be able to harness the clandestine feelings she desires. Inevitably, she feels like she has betrayed Shirley’s trust even though that isn’t the case. Mhm, some women are like that... if I didn’t know her better and she wasn’t Shirley’s inheritance master and friend, I would absolutely not allow her to get near you."
Seeing Davis’s expression sink, Evelynn waved her hand, "But you don’t need to worry. I’ll take care of this matter from my end and drop subtle hints to others."
"Haha, you’re the best."
Davis swooped closer and abruptly lifted her up, causing Evelynn’s heart to skip a beat.
The next hour was something of their own clandestine affair as they secretly engaged in intimacy without letting others know that he was here.
After some time, Davis left.
He was unable to refrain from making love with Evelynn, so he lost the time to check on Xiu Juili. He quickly left, intending to head to the Mountain-Sea Painting Shard Region, but before that, he grabbed Tia and Nadia, heading to the eastern side of the continent.
"Uhh..." Tia wobbled.
She had not yet fully recovered from her exhaustion, feeling so drained. To resist the Eternal Eclipse Bird’s aura, even though it was concealed, wasn’t easy either. The pressure weighing on her soul was high.
"Poor Tia..." Nadia used her tiny paw to comfort Tia. She stood on her shoulder, twirling one tail to tickle her neck.
Tia giggled lightly while she tried to stop Nadia.
It seems like everyone overly pitied her!
She turned to glance at Davis, his back appearing staunch and infallible. Her lips curled, knowing it would be extremely hard for him to survive if he were bent on protecting everyone and obtaining a new home in some other galaxy, yet he never gave up. Her purple eyes glimmered, wondering what a man like him was truly thinking.
’Hhm.... My demoness was quite lovely today... I wonder if I got her pregnant again?’
Davis looked into the distance, unable to calm himself from reliving the wondrous moments he had earlier. He relished it with his soul, remembering her sexy eyes affixed to him, her pale skin glistening as her buxom figure swayed to his thrusts.
Sensing Tia’s gaze, he heaved a satisfied breath once again before he turned to look at her.
"We’ll be arriving at our destination soon."
"..." Tia thought of making a naughty joke, but nodded, "We won’t be restrained again by that tentacle scythe calamity, right?"
In the end, her naughtiness came out in a different form.
"It’s fine. It ambushed us last time, but this time, I’ve already got a good guess about where it lives. We’ll be alright as long as we don’t cross its territory again."
"Okay~"
Tia coo’ed and closed her eyes, trying to meditate to be in shape so that she could take charge when the time came. After all, she needed to find the spatial vortex that led to one of the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy’s Upper Realms.
She had already consumed a soul pill to become more focused.
Davis returned his gaze and Willed the Eternal Eclipse Bird to be more vigilant.
It let out a bone-chilling, distorted cry as its wings cleaved through the skies.
As a Ghost Will with a semblance of consciousness, it also knew that further ahead was False Dawn Harbinger. It slowed and flew menacingly, intending to intimidate it.
However, it turned confused.
Davis was also confused.
There was no longer a False Dawn Harbinger in the vast basin. It was empty. All he could see were the mounds that appeared to have been blasted off one after another. The underground area seemed to have been unearthed.
’Did it leave with what it was protecting, or did some other calamity take it away?’
Davis was full of questions.
This situation seemed to have occurred in the past hour or two while he was mingling with Evelynn. It was strange and made him doubt if it was still alive somewhere, waiting to ambush him, but he couldn’t sense it anywhere.
Nonetheless, he didn’t stop.
He ordered the Eternal Eclipse Bird to fly past the False Dawn Harbinger’s territory.
Nothing happened.
Soon, he was almost near the destination. He willed the Eternal Eclipse Bird to weave through the mountains. He knew he shouldn’t cross it or be met with that scythe-tentacle calamity that was at Level Three Primarch Stage. It would be difficult to kill it even with the Cursed Artifact, although he had the confidence that he could still manage it by swinging the artifact for the third time.
Regardless, Davis didn’t plan on crossing this way even if he had to get to the Luminous Rage Shard Region to pick up Myria and Niera. He had already discovered another path and used that path to return. That’s why they didn’t meet the scythe-tentacle calamity when returning.
He turned east sharply upon seeing a Peak-Level Transcendent Crystal Mountain in the distance.
Right now, there are a lot of supreme geniuses mining there.
If they had seen the Eternal Eclipse Bird, they would be scared out of their wits, but the darkness calamity above them had concealed itself.
After swerving to the east, Davis soon arrived at the edge of the continent in five minutes.
Here, there was no calamity.
It was weird, causing Davis’s guard to be up. He imagined that there could be a bigger predator on the edge of the continent.
Nonetheless, once he made the Eternal Eclipse Bird perch on a mountain peak and alighted from it, slowly looking around with the others, he still didn’t detect anything.
Tia also performed a divination for danger haphazardly and didn’t get any results. She nodded at Davis, causing him to hover at the edge as he descended down the mountain.
Soon, he could see the crevice leading downwards, the great chasm!
It had an extreme pull, able to pull anything below the Primarch Stage into its abyssal embrace.
Davis didn’t know what was deep inside the chasm, nor did he want to know. He was just here to search for the spatial vortex.
Davis and Tia spent a few hours searching while walking around, but they couldn’t find it to no avail.
"Are you sure it’s really here?" Davis asked.
"I’m positive I sensed it here." Tia stood around the edge, hoping to find a cave that led underground.
"The general direction is in this path. Then, after coming here, I made use of divination again to pinpoint the accuracy of its location in the surroundings. It shouldn’t be past the chasm, but it isn’t here..."
Tia pouted. She raised her hand, rubbing her forehead as she was tired.
