Chapter 4636: First Item
Chapter 4636: First Item
Lush green hair, dropping pink rabbit ears, pitiful sapphire eyes, small nose, rosy lips, ample bosoms, fruitful hips, and long legs. Davis scanned this attendant from head to toe before moving his gaze away.
"Go take care of my beauties."
"Yes~"
The rabbit fey with pure blood stood up, her blue robes swaying, before she hurriedly came by Shirley’s side and asked the same question.
"Sure~ What’s your name?" Shirley caught her hands and made her sit by her side.
The gesture instantly alarmed the rabbit fey, but seeing that they had no ill intentions, she calmed slightly and said.
"My name is Alinna..."
Alinna answered respectfully and fearfully.
Shirley giggled, not really fazed. She made conversation effortlessly and easily made Alinna calm down. She then brought up more conversation points and eventually learned how Alinna ended up here.
Apparently, she was one of the strongest geniuses from her sect in the Radiant Blossom Upper Realm that belonged to the Moonsmile Family. Her prowess could go up to seven levels higher, but she was defeated by bandits who were obviously disguised supreme geniuses and sold to one of the traders similar to the True Peak Emporium. Knowing her identity and having an amicable relationship with her sect, the Moonsmile Family bought her out, but she had gone into debt because of it and had to work it off.
Hence, she was here to pay it off quickly.
"You had it hard. Fortunately, you met us. We won’t make it difficult for you~" Shirley rubbed her shoulder with a sympathetic look on her face.
"Elder sister..." Alinna had already exposed herself to Shirley, becoming vulnerable.
"..."
Davis was speechless as he listened to them. Shirley was indeed terrifying, grasping the hearts of ladies instantly.
However, he couldn’t help but smile as her plight made him remember the first time he met Natalya. She had been fooled by an illusion, similarly sold to an auction house, and ended up meeting him. She had even pissed herself from fear. Such memories made him nearly laugh out loud as he compared that innocent self to the vixen now.
For some reason, his eyes glanced at Dewzai before he returned his gaze to the dark stage.
Dewzai was perceptive, always vigilant. She noticed it but didn’t think of anything strange.
Davis inwardly lampooned before he waited for the start of the auction.
"..."
Davis was still thinking about the matter of his perception, warning him about something. It was not a random thing.
It was something he had been subconsciously keeping an eye out for. The most normal trigger was danger, but after that, there were many matters like suspicious people, like those three vile villains, harmful items that could suddenly explode, strange treasures that could be useful to him, dubious environments that could put them to sleep temporarily or eternally, and many other anomalies.
He didn’t know what exactly triggered it.
Considering it was delayed and wasn’t hostile, Davis was forced to think that it was some kind of ability interfering with his senses, almost as though the object of interest was hiding from him.
After excluding all the possibilities, he arrived at the one he felt was both logical and intuitive.
Davis thought back to the many serpents he saw. There were vipers, mambas, boas, pythons, cobras, sea serpents and even nagas from the Sea Race, and many other serpentine species. How was he supposed to notice all of them? Unless he left this place and returned after a long time, his perception might not trigger again.
Davis thought hard, but he couldn’t tell who it was, making him start to doubt his conclusion.
Soon, the auction host appeared, dressed neatly in a crimson robe. A curtain of long blue hair fell down over his shoulders, and he held a formation core that could trigger certain formations.
He radiated a noble yet terrifying aura, enough to curb anyone who might have their eyes on the goods auctioned off today. His undulations were kept suppressed, but they couldn’t escape Davis’s perception.
He knew this auction host was a King-Tier Level Nine Immortal Emperor Beast whose prowess was as powerful as Barakiel’s or even more. Moreover, he could sense that the aura had not solidified, which meant that he had only recently stepped into King-Tier.
Davis inwardly nodded.
The auction host smiled at the spectators, "Men of the supreme dawn, women of the blinding twilight, welcome to the grand auction conducted by the four hosts of the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy. I’m a host from the Verdant Time Galaxy, a dragon who was abandoned by both parent races. Heh, pay no heed to that boring matter, as I will be your host and also the one who ensures order in this space. If anyone tries to make a move, then heavenly lightning- no, something even stronger might fall on you."
He panned his gaze across the field and chuckled as he stopped at a certain unit in the VIP balcony.
"Of course, if it’s that person, I might have to flee instead."
His confident yet carefree tone made everyone laugh, and they were all pleased.
Davis could also tell that he was warning everyone where the Divine Emperor of Death was so that they could flee at a moment’s notice if something were to happen. They really were considering the safety of the supreme geniuses in mind.
At a glance, Davis could see that over twelve thousand supreme geniuses from various galaxies had gathered here! However, this wasn’t a high number since there could be millions sprawling across the Shard World.
Clearly, only a few of the majority could make it here due to time and distance constraints.
"Now, without further ado, let’s start the auction. The first time is something that should catch the eye of everyone and allow everyone to feel excited. What could it be?"
As he spoke with a shrewd voice, the formation core in his hands lit up, and an item appeared on the stage. Accurately, it was two items, two rings in the shape of a coil that covered an entire finger.
"The first item of the auction: the Inheritance Rings of the Boundless Formation Sage and the Boundless Forge Master left behind when they were young Exalts!"
"...!"
At this moment, the people from the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy collectively stood up!
It wasn’t anything strange that they found inheritance sites left by countless ancestors. However, it was more or less all unknown cultivators.
On the other hand, the Seven Great Boundless Hegemons of the human race were here once upon a time. They left inheritances on passing? In that case, just how old were they!? After all, they still existed in the current day and age. Was leaving behind this inheritance any use when they could just go contact them through their powers?
Of course, it wasn’t easy to get hold of them, nor could they speak with them as they pleased, but if they wanted to learn something, as supreme geniuses, they were confident in their abilities to go apply for an apprenticeship and become a personal disciple.
"Master’s inheritance..." One of them from the crowd even seemed to be a personal disciple, as they blurted out.
"Oh?" The auction host glanced down with his crimson eyes, "We have a personal disciple here? That’s great because left in this inheritance are rings that are the grand promise of becoming as great as them were since they have left the complete inheritance that made them who they were, but due to the difficulty of it, the founder of these inheritance rings directly exchanged this for treasures. The starting bid is thirty Low-Level Primarch Grade Resources!"
"Thirty!"
"Thirty-two!"
"Thirty-five!"
Three VIP units lit up in succession as numbers were displayed on the balconies.
The commoners- the poor, supreme geniuses, and even the ones who had considerable backing could only clench their teeth as they were all outclassed in an instant!
