Chapter 3183 Thrown Into A Den
Chapter 3183 Thrown Into A Den
Lest Mistwalker roared right at his senior Lambert Mistwalker's face, causing the latter to be stumped before rage swelled on his face.
"You dare speak to me like that!?"
Lambert Mistwalker waved his hand, causing Lest Mistwalker to disappear.
"Brother!"
Lyra Mistwalker screamed out, her eyes turning bloodshot before she raised her hand, summoning a cauldron and trying to shatter it on Lambert Mistwalker with as much soul force as she could muster. However, Layla Mistwalker caught her hand and suppressed her soul force, causing her to flail as she tried to smash Lambert Mistwalker into meat paste.
"Calm down. Lambert is only trying to make your elder brother understand his mistakes."
"…"
Lyra Mistwalker's gaze was full of killing intent as she looked at Lambert Mistwalker, but eventually, she stopped struggling and hung her head, a chilling voice emerging from her lips.
"I swear if anything happens to my brother, I will not rest until I see you die."
"Heh~ He deserves to die for being such a failure. I'm the leader here, and all my decisions are final. Let's see how you convince the higher-ups to get revenge for you."
Lyra Mistwalker kept glaring, but Layla Mistwalker narrowed her eyes.
"You didn't isolate him?"
"What we're going to do is dangerous, so I sent him to see what else the Emperor of Death has up his sleeves."
"You-"
Layla Mistwalker's gaze trembled while Lyra Mistwalker's heart skipped a beat.
=========
"Oh?"
Davis blinked as he saw a white-robed man appear in front of him a few kilometers away, causing him to smile lightly.
"I was wondering who was it that was going to show up, but who would've thought it was you, Lest Mistwalker?"
"…!"
Lest Mistwalker turned, shocked as he heard the voice, his heart skipping a beat. The visibility here was extremely low, but it seemed like the Emperor of Death was able to see him before he even spotted the latter. But suddenly, he saw that there were a few holes in the formation in this particular area that he could manipulate, causing him to understand what was going on.
'That bastard… he sent me here to buy them some time in exchange for my life…!'
Lest Mistwalker was instantly met with two choices: he could either try to escape using the holes of the formation or use these flaws to save his life for a few minutes. Either way, he knew he was going to die as he couldn't see Lambert Mistwalker letting him walk away after making such a move.
"Have you come here to have your life snuffed out? How could it be that you geniuses don't learn your lesson?"
A faint purple-robed silhouette finally appeared in the distance before he saw the menace that had every Empyreal Monarch working together turn highly visible in his sight. He seemed amused, looking as though it was nothing more than a game to him.
"Have I been magnanimous enough? Wait- why are you scared when you are here to face me? Are you forced to buy some time because you messed up? Poor thing…"
"…"
Having been seen through like a mirror, Lest Mistwalker clenched his teeth.
"Enough of your condescending talk. Kill me and be done with it!"
Davis raised his brows as he walked towards Lest Mistwalker, appearing before him, and panned his gaze around nonchalantly.
"This doesn't seem like a trap. What are you afraid of? Why do you hesitate to attack if you're here?"
"It's not that I'm afraid, but I regret…" Lest Mistwalker grinned, "I regret inviting a calamity like you here."
Davis couldn't help but laugh lightly. It was ironic that the invite Lest Mistwalker gave out caused him to lose out on obtaining a valuable treasure such as the Celestial Luminescence Pill.
"Indeed. You are regretful, but I am thankful for the invitation. If it weren't for the cold-hearted massacre you committed to gain information, perhaps we could see eye to eye."
Lest Mistwalker's expression twitched, "Yeah, right…"
*Bang!~*
Lest Mistwalker didn't even see a kick reaching his chest; it punctured a hole, causing blood to spurt as he was sent flying into the distance.
"Brother! No!"
An anguished voice of a woman echoed out, but neither Lest Mistwalker nor Davis heard it. The latter walked across the chilling surface laced with innumerable droplets of blood, tracing it before finally standing before Lest Mistwalker again, yet the other party remained sleeping on the floor with his lips twitching yet curled with a smirk.
"What? Are you scared to finish me off?"
Davis's lips also curled, "Showing off won't work, as I know your true emotions. You're frightened, even worried, but not for yourself. You're also daring and vengeful, wanting to get revenge but not on me. You are intriguing for the selfish pricks you all are…"
"…"
Lest Mistwalker's lips relaxed before he threw his head, spitting out blood and laughing.
"Haha! I'm fed up with your Heart Intent that managed to see through my thoughts, and now you're also not allowing me to die, cooly, when I know my little sister is watching. Fuck you… fuck you! But I'll tell you something worthwhile just to piss them off. You have also obtained the-"
*Swi!~*
Davis lifted his leg and struck. But instead of crushing the head, he crushed an icy arrow that shattered and dispersed like a mist. He wasn't offended but confused as this arrow was aimed at Lest Mistwalker.
"What's this? Internal discord that leads to a bloodbath? That sucks, but you were saying something…?"
Lest Mistwalker's brows twitched. That icy arrow definitely had the power to kill the defenseless him, but the man in front of him treated it like he was kicking a scroll. However, he didn't know why the Emperor of Death moved to save him. Was it because of the words he uttered? Instantly, he revealed what Davis was in possession of, causing him to gawk.
"No way… there's also an Autarch Grade Forging Table inside this inheritance?"
Davis's lips parted, unable to believe the words he was hearing, but he found no strange emotions in Lest Mistwalker's emotional fluctuations.
"Woah. I don't know if I would have this kind of luck."
Davis shook his head in awe. This man lying in front of him on the snow actually also found the entrance to the First Haven World and even managed to make out with the Celestial Luminescence Pill and a forging inheritance that was of extremely high grade. Clearly, he was not an ordinary person but a person who had tremendous luck, perhaps even a majestic destiny, perhaps like a wild card.
"Tell you what. I won't kill you nor capture you. I'll let you go as long as you hand over your wealth. What do you say?"
Davis knew he could bank on this man's luck if he let him live, but it could also backfire as he could end up eating his own medicine. Regardless, he didn't have much enmity with this man and quickly made a decision to spare him.
Lest Mistwalker's lips twitched, "You want me to say that you didn't steal my wealth?"
Obviously, his spatial ring and life ring were plundered by the same man before him. What more wealth could he have here?
"That's right. You willingly and wholeheartedly gave it to me and wouldn't make a fuss over it back in your power. Alright?"
Davis shamelessly smiled, causing Lest Mistwalker to not know what to say.
For a moment, the person before him didn't look evil but looked like a swindler.
