"What's this?" Looking at the pure-white pill that emerged in Davis's hands, Evelynn inquired with a curious expression on her face.

Davis chuckled and explained what he thought about how the Diluted Sage Tree Essence Pill minorly helped her comprehend Level Four Intent of Poison Laws and establish a Superior Law Manifestation.

"I see... No wonder I found it easier to comprehend those insights..."

Evelynn kept nodding her head in agreement.

"It makes sense... because when I didn't have these tangible insights obtained from refining these Poison Essences, my comprehension speed in the past was too slow compared to this week of seclusion."

Evelynn's father did marry Maisy, so by social standards, Maisy was indeed her second mother, but...

After he had his laughter and Evelynn calmed down, he talked a little while with her about the Earth Dragon Immortal's actions towards him.

Davis kept the pure white pill inside and handed over a light blue pill instead.

"Ah~" Evelynn became startled as her smile faded. Since she had eyes closed and was raising her bent waist, she didn't see it coming nor sense it since she had other things on her mind. She let go of her hands and picked the light tiny blue pill from her cleavage, and looked at it.

If she hadn't seen Davis's awkward expression, she would've felt that his intentions were something else instead. After all, if men threw something at a women's cleavage, it mostly meant that the man was inviting the woman for experiencing carnal pleasure. As far as she knew, only prostitutes would accept payments this way.

If he meant this as a joke, she could only take it as he took his pranks on her too far.
