Chapter 4264: Adventure
Chapter 4264: Adventure
The Yin Yang Sanctuary was like a moving Sacred Relic Field, but obviously with only one of its advantages. The real Sacred Relic keeps the Godly Pressure out, and it also weakens the Godly Creatures. So, not only does it prevent the cultivators from having their strengths weakened, but it also weakens the Godly Creatures. That’s another reason the Godly Creatures attack in hordes: to overcome the Godly Pressure nullification with their sheer numbers, each emitting Godly Pressure.
The Sanctuary, on the other hand, only prevents those inside from being weakened by Godly Pressure. It doesn’t weaken the Godly Creatures. So, yes, it was only half as good. Because of that, the twins’ group was debating whether they should really buy it or not. It was still very, very good, but points were obviously hard to come by.
"But how good is it really?" Celis asked. He was on the side that would rather keep the points. After all, the Orb Points were needed for Sister Orb to create the next level of the Cultivation Technique. That’s the cultivation maniac for you.
Roan, on the other hand, wanted to buy it. "It is worth the cost. You asked how good it is, right? It could be between useless and the most powerful ability the system might give us in a long while."
"What do you mean?" The others asked back.
"Did you forget?" Roan continued. "The weakening effect of the Godly Pressure depends on the concentration of it. So, if we are in a place with low concentration, the Yin Yang Sanctuary won’t do much. Obviously, if we are in a place with a huge concentration, somewhere where we would be weakened to the point of becoming mortals, that’s the most incredible skill you could ever wish for if you can’t leave the area."
"So..." Rean thought for a moment, "we need to check whether the concentration of the Godly Pressure is high enough to be worth buying it?"
"We can’t," Kentucky pointed out. "You just need to take a look at the map to understand it. Around 90% of the area outside the Besgol and other regions is just black patches, uncharted areas. We would never find out for certain. We can’t base ourselves on that 10% charted, and most of this 10% isn’t completely known either. It just means someone had been there before, charted it on the map, and came back alive. Much of the information is still lacking."
"I vote for buying it," Rean raised his hand.
"Same here," and Roan followed.
"Sigh..." Celis understood that keeping the points wasn’t worth the risk. If they die, what good would those points do? "Fine, let’s buy it."
"I’m a Minokawa, from a lazy and cowardly race, so I will always prioritize safety above all. I’m obviously in for buying as well," Kentucky said last. It was impressive how he spoke like that with so much pride.
With that decided, Rean and Roan focused their minds on the Orb System.
[Yin Yang Sanctuary - Level One: 50 Orb Points]
[Orb Points: 51]
[Confirm the Purchase?]
"Yes!"
At that moment, the twins felt like their surroundings lost all color, growing black and white. Yet, they were the only ones who saw it. It only lasted a fraction of a second, though. When they looked again, everything was already back to normal.
"50 meters..." They also noticed that the Black and White area had only just extended that far, as Sister Orb explained.
The twins didn’t waste time and immediately activated the Yin Yang Sanctuary. This time, the colors didn’t turn into black and white. In fact, nothing visually changed around them at all. Nonetheless, they could feel the Yin and Yang within a 50-meter radius, each acting with the twins’ own Yin and Yang energies. "Well, it will become a lot more apparent once Godly Pressure is present. There is no Godly Pressure inside the Regions, after all."
A minute later, the skill deactivated, and the Yin Yang of the surroundings went back to normal.
[Cooldown Started: 24:00 hours.]
They didn’t mind testing it now, since it would take over a day to even reach the F17 area Flantoihy mentioned.
"And now we have a grand total of 01 point," Celis felt like crying. "We’d better work hard to gather points."
[Well, you have plenty of time. You are only in th Initial Stage of the Anchor God Realm, after all. For you, it is still faster to gather Godly Crystals and use them to cultivate than to create Godly Energy on your own. The difference is that you can battle for much longer times outside than others because you aren’t as reliant on the Godly Crystals.]
"That’s not entirely correct," Rean pointed out. "Others will still be able to use the Celestial Energy for battle, but we can’t. You are only right if you say we can fight for much longer if everyone uses solely Godly Energy. But if you add Celestial Energy to the mix, we will likely suffer in a war of attrition."
[Well... Yes... But you sure would be much stronger for longer. Anyway, I trust you can deal with this.]
"That’s enough for now," Roan decided to retire for the day. "You all go back and prepare however you like. We will gather again tomorrow to go to the mission."
Rean, Celis, and Kentucky nodded and left.

As one could expect, things began to run quite chaotically in the background. Besgol Region reached all the other possible regions with the Long-Distance Communication Array, and their news scared the hell out of them.
It didn’t take long for them to do the same as Besgol and had their personnel checked from top to bottom, especially those involved in maintaining their Sacred Relics.
Still, there were plenty who were skeptical. It had never happened before. Well, at least not in this area of the Celestial Plane. Communication here could only go so far. There was no way to know if such a thing hadn’t happened before somewhere far away from this place.
In any case, none of the regions would take any chances, knowing that even though they seemed stable, they were always one step away from being destroyed by the Godly Creatures. They all put measures in place to find these impostors. That was the effect of Roan’s little robbery adventure.
