Death… And Me

Chapter 4134: More Souls

Chapter 4134: More Souls

Roan narrowed his eyes. "That’s all the information we have here..."

How could they not understand it? The problem wasn’t that it would be dangerous. No, that wasn’t the problem at all. The problem was to FIND that no more than a meter-long turtle in the biggest ocean of A7, especially since Hyeoumu said that no methods of detection would work on it.

Don’t get the wrong idea. It’s not that the turtle couldn’t be seen with Divine Sense, but that it would look like nothing more than a common low-level demon beast among countless others in that place.

"Wait, that can’t be right," Kentucky took the Jade Slip from Roan and checked. "How the hell does he expect us to find something like that?!"

Nyxara sighed. "That Hyeoumu is always hard to deal with. The idiot likely did it so only he would be able to find it. The only good thing is that A7 at least is closer to the Werdlem Universe, so we won’t be wasting the trip."

Roan ignored that, returning his attention to Beelzebub. "Things aren’t that simple here, you know?"

"I don’t care," Beelzebub answered. "Just get me to A7 as well. That’s where Hyeoumu and Soul Gem said there is a chance of finding the Celestial Laws of Hunger. Or could it be that it would be hard for you guys to get there?"

"That’s not what I’m talking about," Roan shook his head in response. "The problem is that you are an outsider."

One must not forget that those who come from outside the Werdlem Universe carry traits that can be identified by high-level experts. The twins’ group only avoided that because they received Victor Rampel’s help, who covered those traits with his ability.

"That said, even if we leave you there, considering the level of the Universe, it wouldn’t be that hard for you to be found," Roan explained.

Beelzebub thought for a moment. "Outsider traits... how exactly are those traits found?"

Hick was the one to answer. "The soul, the one thing you can’t change."

Immediately, Rean and Roan understood why Beelzebub was selected to come to this place. "So that’s how it is..."

Beelzebub smiled. "Soul, uh? That makes things a lot easier."

As a Soul Devil, Beelzebub could absorb dead souls to replenish his strength and even store them for later use. He himself was basically a gigantic collection of souls with a single sentience. But, above all, he could use them to change the characteristics of his own existence. If he absorbed enough, the soul energy that composes his body would eventually be soul energy from the Werdlem Empire. There was indeed no one better fit for this information delivery than Beelzebub.

Rean shrugged. "I guess we’d better make a quick stop in F390’s Underworld so Beelzebub can spend some time absorbing dead souls there."

Beelzebub agreed. "Indeed. It will be even better if it is close to the Reincarnation Path."

"There isn’t really reincarnation in the Werdlem Empire," Rean added. "It does have a reincarnation path, though. It just doesn’t work the way you know."

That obviously surprised Beelzebub. "Wait, what?! How?"

Not even the Primordial Demon Beasts knew that one.

"Who knows?" Rean continued. "The ’Reincarnation Path’ of the Werdlem Empire’s Universes basically wipes everything out and creates new Souls from scratch. The Soul Energy of Dead Souls is not recycled. Thus, no reincarnation, much less carrying one’s memory into the next life just because you had high cultivation. Branding your soul to save your memories is meaningless here."

Beelzebub didn’t quite like it. "What an incredible waste of Soul Energy. I’m surprised such a thing doesn’t stress the Universes’ Chaos Origin Sources. Well, I’m not here to fix this issue, that’s for sure."

Suddenly, Beelzebub noticed something. "Talking about souls, your souls are truly strong, aren’t they? You weren’t like this back in Lisan."

"We are all Peak Stage Celestial Realm Experts now, so that’s to be expected," Rean said.

"Really?!" Beelzebub’s eyes lit up. "You are going to share your experiences with me, right? Right?! I came all the way here just to deliver this message to you, after all!"

"You are getting your payment for it, though," Roan countered.

Rean didn’t mind. "It makes no difference. I’ll tell you everything that I can, and perhaps you can be of some help as well. But first, how about we return to F390 to let little Bel get his dead souls? No killing, Bel. Just take the souls that are already dead."

"Who th hell is little Bel?" Beelzebub complained. "That only makes me feel more like killing for dead souls instead."

"Hahaha!" Rean laughed. "My bad, my bad."

Kentucky couldn’t say he was happy with that, but there was no point complaining. "Well, since it’s Beelzebub, so be it. Senior Nyxara, can you send us back to F390?"

"Sure." Nyxara didn’t mind. They got the information, so the rest was just the rest. "Get close to me. I left a Hollow Mark just outside F390. We can go back there in an instant."

They all got close, and by using her Void Powers, Nyxara made everyone disappear. Sure enough, it only took an instant for Nyxara reappear with everyone just outside the Universe F390’s barrier.

Hick did his trick, creating a boundary around the suppressed cultivation of the twins, and then he returned inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm with Nyxara.

Roan also left, leaving Rean, Kentucky, and Beelzebub.

"You can wait inside our Dimensional Realm, you know?" Rean told Beelzebub.

"And risk you sealing me in there again? No, thanks!" Beelzebub definitely hasn’t forgotten his time there.

Kentucky couldn’t help but ask. "You did hear we are all Peak Stage Celestials, right? I don’t want to sound rude, but if we want to capture you, we definitely can, and it would be pretty easy."

Beelzebub thought for a moment, but still decided not go inside. "Alright, if the situation requires it, I will enter your Dimensional Realm to not cause trouble. But until then, I’d rather stay outside and see things with my own eyes."

Rean saw that Beelzebub wouldn’t change his mind. "So be it. Let’s get inside."

Their group reached the Underworld without any issues, and after gathering some information, they found the best place for Beelzebub. He spent a week or so flying around and avoiding catching anyone’s attention, absorbing millions of dead souls. In the Werdlem Empire, it was even less of a problem to do it since those Souls would be simply wiped out anyway.

Finally, his Soul Devil body, the fly, was now fully made of Soul Energy of the Werdlem Empire. No one would be able to tell he came from outside, that’s for sure. "Alright, I’m done. Let’s go to A7."
