Chapter 4132: Him?
Chapter 4132: Him?
Universe F390, seventy-two years later. A black tunnel suddenly appeared above an empty land in the middle of nowhere. It was a barren location where very little life could thrive. From inside the Black Tunnel, a man and a bird came out. Naturally, that place was the location of a long-destroyed Great Void Shifter, and the two who came out were Rean and Kentucky.
Landing on the ground, Rean’s Divine Sense spread around, finding nothing to worry about. "Is it in this Universe?"
’No,’ Hick’s voice came from inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. ’But it is the closest place to the meeting point. Go out.’
Kentucky nodded and opened a Spatial Gate. From there, Rean and Kentucky travelled until they reached the border of the Universe, leaving it right after.
Once outside, Nyxara appeared, now with a power back to the Celestial Realm level. Unless she suppressed her cultivation and Hick created a boundary around it, she couldn’t be present inside the low-ranked Universes anymore. "Alright, hold tight!"
Her power of void circulated, and for a moment, Rean and Kentucky felt their bodies being pulled away. They weren’t doing anything, but they could tell they were moving way faster through the Great Void than even Kentucky’s Spatial Gate.
There was one thing the twins’ group hadn’t done until now: getting close to the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble boundary. They couldn’t leave, so there was no point in trying to go there. Today was the first time they would be seeing it.
*blumb...*
The void warped and contracted. In an instant, it returned to normal, but Rean, Kentucky, and Nyxara could be seen in that location. "Alright, if Hick’s information is correct, this has to be the meeting point."
*Zush!*
Hick also appeared outside, checking his CD and matching it with the information he had. "There is no doubt. It is here."
Rean and Kentucky weren’t looking at them, though. Instead, they were looking at the Bubble’s boundary.
Threads of pale light coursed across the Boundary in silent streams, converging and diverging in patterns too complex to follow. It did not flicker. It did not waver. It just functioned.
"That’s some weird boundary, that’s for sure..." Rean commented.
Kentucky looked in Hick’s direction. "Is that what it looks like when the twelve Primordial Demon Beasts become the power that sustains this barrier?"
"Pretty much," Hick confirmed. He wasn’t that interested, having seen this barrier way too many times. "If you pay close attention, you will notice a power similar to mine and Nyxara here. You can’t feel it, but we have a connection with this damned thing, a connection that nothing can cut."
Rean and Kentucky didn’t doubt that. When the Primordial Demon Beasts were inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble showed no reaction. Whatever that connection was, not even Sister Orb could detect or cut it.
Rean’s attention returned to the barrier. His Celestial Realm power gathered, his Crystalized Intent Sword appeared, and his energy circulated. The Celestial Laws of Light and Darkness descended and joined the Celestial Sky Energy. Rean didn’t hold back, gathering everything at his disposal and using every trick in his repertoire. Then, he thrust forward!
’Red Life, Crimson Stellar Piercer!’
*Ziu!*
*KABRUM!*
The world became red as that incredibly powerful thrusting red lightning shot in the barrier’s direction, reaching it in a fraction of a second!
But then...
*dlug, dlug, dlug, dlug...*
Those threads seemed to come to life, enveloping Rean’s Crimson Stellar Piercer’s power... and eating it. There was no explosion, there was no energy, there was nothing. Rean’s Stellar Piercer simply disappeared inside the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble Boundary.
"Sigh..." Rean was a little disappointed. "I knew I likely couldn’t break through it. Still, it is as if I didn’t do anything at all."
"Hahaha!" Hick couldn’t help but laugh. "If it were that easy, do you think we would all be here? Still, there is no need to feel sad. That attack of yours now could kill pretty much any Celestial who isn’t a Balance Breaker. You have grown quite strong. Of course, no Celestial would simply stand still and let themselves be struck like the Bubble did."
Rean’s Crystal Void Sword Intent disappeared. "Guess there is no helping it."
Kentucky ignored that, asking something else. "So, tell me again. Why did we have to wait so many years before coming here?"
Hick shrugged. "What do you expect? Do you think Lisan is just around the next corner? It takes time to send someone all the way here, you know? Crossing the barrier is anything but easy either. If I hadn’t left some of my power behind for Hyeoumu to use, it would have taken even longer. Be grateful that it only took this long."
"I see..." Kentucky didn’t mind. "So, where is this guy... or girl?"
"Who knows?" Hick didn’t have an answer. "I only know that this is the point where Hyeoumu’s proxy will come from. As to when it will happen, it can be in the next minute or in the next hundred years. All I’m certain of is that it would take at least 72 years for Hyeoumu to send someone here."
"Ehhhh..." Kentucky didn’t quite like it. "So we will be doing nothing while we wait? Boring..."
"I’m more curious about who he will send," Rean commented.
"It has to be someone aware of everything, right?" Kentucky wondered.
"Maybe he will send your fiancé," Rean smiled. "Then your entire Minokawa family would be reunited.
"Fuck you! Who the hell would take that thing?" Kentucky cursed back.
*Dlug, dlug, dlug, dlug...*
Before Rean could answer, something changed in the boundary. The threads that made it began to squirm restlessly, as if they were trying to hold something back. It’s just that it was a lot easier for them to deal with anything coming from the inside than from the outside.
Finally, a tiny gap appeared, and a sphere of fluctuating silver-white energy came through, with the threads behind trying to hold. But in the end, the threads lost grip of it, and the sphere shot forward. It only stopped several hundred meters from the twins’ group’s location.
"Well, it wasn’t a hundred years, at least," Hick commented with a smile.
Rean and Kentucky could feel that the fluctuating energy sphere indeed contained Hick’s boundary power. But it soon began to vanish, revealing what was inside.
A fly, quite a big and fat one, but a fly nonetheless. Then, laughter followed.
"Hahaha! I’m finally here!"
Rean and Kentucky had questions about Hyeoumu’s pick... "He sent Beelzebub?!"

Author’s note: I swapped 4131 (Who to send?) and 4132 (Him?) by mistake. It is fixed now, but you might still see them out of order. If so, just clear the cash of your WN app and open the Chapter again.
