Chapter 4097: Void but not Void
Chapter 4097: Void but not Void
"I told you before, didn’t I?" Fila asked and shrugged. "I don’t want to be here anyway. You should be happy I didn’t follow them. Well, that was basically me not wanting to cause trouble for Hick. Anyway, if you don’t like my actions... well, you can just kill me, banish me, or whatever."
Soza’s mouth twitched. "Little girl, do you know what you just did? You allowed the Terminarch to flee!"
Fila obviously knew that. "But of course! He is Soul Gem’s friend, after all. I also have a very good relationship with Hick himself. Why wouldn’t I help him? Way better than leaving him in your boring hands."
*Bang!*
Soza crushed the armrest of his throne as if it were made of paper, and that throne was made of many rare materials, such was his strength. "Do not speak of that name in front of me! Why can’t you understand the seriousness of the situation?!"
Fila got up. "Hmph! What seriousness? The Primordial Beasts can’t leave the bubble regardless, so what’s the difference? Anyway, what’s my punishment? Just get over with it already. If I’m bothering you that much, then I don’t mind leaving and never coming back."
Soza was helpless. At the same time, everyone watching around shook their heads. They had seen this father and daughter arguing a hundred thousand times. They also knew how things would turn out in the end.
"Enough! Go back to your palace! Until I say so, you’d better not come out of it!" Soza ordered.
Fila turned around and left, not a bit of regret on her face. As for everyone else, things played exactly as they expected. Soza simply couldn’t bring himself to give his daughter any really harsh punishments. They knew why. Fila was the only kid he had with his long-deceased wife. He remarried again and had other kids, but Fila always held a special place in his heart.
When she ran from the palace with Soul Gem, Soza was furious, and if not because her soul flame was still burning, he wouldn’t even know if she was dead or alive.
He didn’t know what happened to her after that. It’s just that one day, her Werdlem Energy signature was detected in one of the various Universes of the Werdlem Empire. Soza obviously sent all his people to bring Fila back, and she has been living in the Imperial Dimensional Realm ever since. She never told him she was actually out of the Bubble before that.
Soza ignored everyone’s expression, continuing to issue his orders. "Anyone who finds those guys can keep the vial of God Blood. However, I want them alive so we can extract as much information as possible. Do you all understand?"
Hearing the Emperor say they could keep the vial was all the confirmation they could possibly wish for. The Emperor would never go back on his words. "Yes, sir!"
Soza struck the iron while it was hot. "Oh, and let me remind you that the guys who have this vial of God Blood are all Peak Divinities. If you consider their strength, they no doubt already have absorbed their Celestial Laws. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that they came to the Werdlem Universe because BH1 is here."
"If you fail to capture them fast, they will use the Blood to attempt the Celestial Realm Breakthrough. You’d better keep a very close eye on the Great Void Black Hole of our Universe. They will need that to make their attempts, after all." With those words, and feeling the sense of alarm of those who heard him, Soza left.

Back on the twins’ group side, Hick kept opening a Spatial Gate after another, bringing them quite far away from the area they appeared. They traveled for over a day like that. On the way, they also talked. "What do you intend to do now?" Rean asked.
Hick pondered a bit. "I will probably focus on finding the other Primordial Demon Beasts. We have the Charybdis Queen, the Chronoblade Serpent, and me, the Terminarch. There are still nine to go."
The twins’ group knew of the Axiom Tortoise, which was Hyeoumu, and he is not in the Werdlem Empire at the moment. Well, his body was, at least. Then there was Tharos, also known as The Graven Archon. They weren’t sure where this one was, though.
Last but not least, they knew Soltrex, the Archive Devourer. That one, they had a clue he was in the Mist Library, although they couldn’t be certain.
Hick heard that already. "We obviously can’t leave the Werdlem Universe at the moment, so I can’t go look into this Mist Library thing. It does sound like the kind of place he would be, though. Anyway, I will focus on this Universe for now. I think there is a good chance that there are Primordial Beasts here."
Of course, Default was here, and Hick knew that. He just didn’t tell the twins’ group about it.
A Spatial Gate appeared far away from where the twins’ group first arrived. This was already part of Hick’s friend’s territory. Coming out of the Spatial Gate, Rean and Kentucky felt like they had entered the void instead. There was no air and no energy around. If not for the land below, they would think they were in midspace instead.
"What a weird place." Rean tried to feel his surroundings, but couldn’t find anything. It wasn’t that his Divine Sense was not working, but because his Divine Sense couldn’t see anything in the first place. "What a weird interference in my Divine Sense."
It wasn’t the first time Rean felt something like this. He had been to a Dimensional Realm, all the way back in the Lisan Universe, that had a similar interference. Your Divine Sense wasn’t restricted. It’s just that it didn’t show you anything at all.
"So that’s why no one will know about our attempt?" Kentucky asked.
Hick confirmed. "You are correct. This place is special. It has a natural Formation that expands over my friend’s entire territory. He took this place for himself precisely because of this land’s unique traits. Take a look around."
Rean and Kentucky looked closely, and they saw it. There was no air here, but there were trees, animals, demon beasts, and such in the forest below. "How are they even alive?"
"If one is to point out a reason, it is definitely evolution," Hick commented. "This place wasn’t always like it is now. It slowly turned into this over countless years. The plants and creatures here just adapted as it changed. They had the time for it, after all."
Rean nodded. "Quite an interesting place."
Hick began to fly ahead. "Let’s go. My friend also has his own protection around his territory, so we can’t get deeper inside with Spatial Gates. We have to fly there."
