Chapter 4073: The Final Decision
Chapter 4073: The Final Decision
As the colossal Ice Dragon Head descended, its maw wide enough to swallow mountains, Kentucky didn’t retreat.
Instead, he spread the wings on his back to their limit. The black and white flames around him stopped raging and began to rotate.
His two Sword Feather Blades dissolve, turning into pure streams of Yin and Yang that coil around his arms. The remaining Feather Blades, including the ones from his Domain, rise and align behind him, each carrying his Feather Blade Intent, forming the phantom silhouette of two gigantic celestial wings made of light and shadow.
They are not illusions; they are manifestations of Yin and Yang, anchored by Sky Energy and stabilized by his Spatial Power. Kentucky’s body gives cracking sounds as his Celestial Bloodline is burned directly into the technique.
On the white wing’s side, a white sun.
On the black wing’s side, a black star.
Then, they collide behind him, and Kentucky blasts forward, a world of Light and Dark power in his wake. For a moment, the projection of a gigantic minokawa appeared, and with Kentucky, they collided against the enormous Dragon Head!
*BOOOOMMM!!!*
The world dimmed! A clash of energies so strong that even the formation protecting that fighting zone finds it hard to contain, and it was made to hold a battle of that level!
Most of the projection screens back in the Main Hall had difficulty showing the outcome, such was the interference caused by that clash. The only ones that still worked fine were the ones that were transmitting the fight from far away.
Yet, that only added to the shock of all viewers as they saw the scale of that collision. If it were a clash between Celestials, that could be expected. However, that wasn’t the case. It was a Divinity who pushed the Celestial to his limit!
Between countless space cracks, spatial storms, laws, energy, and elements, the spectator’s view began to clear.
On one side, Glauco lost an arm and a leg. He vomited black blood, obviously being corrupted by Kentucky’s Dark Element and Laws.
On the other side, Kentucky’s Celestial Transformation was undone. He was in his Minokawa form, and there was a wing missing. He also coughed up blood, which froze and broke on its own before even hitting the ground.
Neither Kentucky nor Glauco should continue that fight. However, in the test that used these zones, the victor would only appear once one of them died. Or... so it was supposed to be.
As Kentucky and Glauco struggled to prepare their next move, Zanbril intervened!
"Enough!"
It was just like Kentucky told Glauco, Zanbril would not let either of them die.
"I’m sending you back to the Main Hall! This fight is over!"
Kentucky and Glauco were caught by some kind of gentle energy, and their bodies shot into the distance. Before teleporting them back to the Main Hall, Zanbril had them brought out of that zone. Space was completely messed up, and trying to teleport them from there wouldn’t work.
Only then, when reaching a location where space was stable, did their bodies get covered in a silver light before they disappeared.
Glauco and Kentucky appeared in the Main Hall, and everyone opened space for them, especially Kentucky. Kentucky was in his Minokawa form, so he was obviously quite big.
Glauco’s companions quickly came to help him drive out Kentucky’s Laws and Element, and Rean did the same to Kentucky.
A burst of Light and Dark Element entered the Minokawa’s body, and fought against the Celestial Laws of Water and the Water Element supported by it. Nonetheless, without Glauco’s help, they didn’t last much longer, and Rean was able to help Kentucky get rid of it all.
On Glauco’s side, his companions had an easier time as they had Celestial Laws to overwhelm Kentucky’s normal Laws of Darkness, even if they were supported by Kentucky’s Light Element.
Rean gave Kentucky one of Roan’s nutrient pills.
’Life Style, Instant Recovery!’
Kentucky’s Wing began to regrow at high speed, and not long after, Kentucky’s body was back to what it had been before the battle. The only difference was that Kentucky was utterly empty. Be it in energy reserves or fatigue, he was in no shape to fight anytime soon. That was especially so for his Celestial Bloodline. It would take quite a few months before he recovered it. As a result, the entire healing was done by Rean alone. Kentucky didn’t have energy for even that.
As Rean helped Kentucky, all the spectators looked at Kentucky as if he were a monster. A Divinity capable of fighting a Celestial to a standstill wasn’t something they had ever heard before. No one there could tell who would have survived or died if Zanbril hadn’t announced the end of the combat by force. It was one thing if Kentucky were a Semi-Celestial. They could at least say he had some access to Celestial Energy, but that wasn’t the case either.
Kentucky recovered a little bit of energy as Rean healed him. Once Rean finished the job, Kentucky took the chance to change back to his normal humanoid form. "Phew... I thought I would die there..."
Glauco, now back on his feet, narrowed his eyes. His limbs hadn’t been regrown yet, as he would need time. He didn’t have that ridiculous healing capability that Rean had. There was also the fact that he didn’t want to waste a Legendary Level Healing Pill since there was no danger anymore. "I didn’t know the Divinity Realm could display such a power."
This time, no more disdain on his face. Instead, there was respect there. There was respect on everyone’s faces.
"Kentucky!" Xixie couldn’t help but come to hug the Minokawa. "You are crazy!"
"Hahaha!" Kentucky laughed in response and patted the girl’s head. "But it was fun, that’s for sure!"
Zanbril had a complex expression on his face. He noticed his brother’s eyes on him. It seemed like Zuey would still not intervene in his decision. In fact, Zanbril already decided what to do since he stopped the battle before anyone died.
Zanbril approached Kentucky’s group, glancing at Glauco, who followed him. Then, Zanbril spoke. "Glauco, if I say this battle ended in a draw, will you accept it?"
Glauco bitterly smiled, but shook his head in the end. Rean and Kentucky also noticed that his killing intent towards Xixie disappeared as he spoke. "No. This is my loss. I’m not shameless to that point."
Zanbril nodded. "As expected of a Celestial of Zentian. Considering the difference in cultivation between a Celestial and a Divinity, if you had insisted on a draw result, I would have kicked you out of Zentian. Xixie, it’s your victory. You will be free to move as you wish, as long as you also fulfill your duties as my wife and as a member of the Zentian Imperial Family."
