Death… And Me

Chapter 4071: Fighting a Celestial

Chapter 4071: Fighting a Celestial

"Really?!"

Even Zanbril didn’t expect Kentucky to accept that challenge. Why did Zanbril choose Glauco? Because he was certain no Divinity, regardless of how strong, would dare challenge a Celestial. Then he could simply say he gave Kentucky a chance, but Kentucky didn’t take it. His argument that Kentucky won against a Semi-Celestial wasn’t something Zanbril believed to be good himself. "S-So? Alright, then!"

The Formation that teleported the experts to those fighting locations shone again. "Go inside. Since I knew there would be Celestials as advisors, those places were already prepared for this kind of battle level. You can simply use them again while they are still there."

Kentucky jumped onto the formation, disappearing. That was a slap on Glauco’s face, saying he was even more ready than the Celestial.

"Hmph!" Glauco also stepped on the formation, disappearing right after.

Everyone looked up. The various projections appeared again, showing Kentucky and Glauco in one of the locations. There were only the two of them, so all the holographic projections could show many more angles, which those observing obviously liked.

Hoblio was finally released. He walked to Rean and Xixie’s side, his expression serious. "That is suicide, don’t you think?"

Rean wasn’t sure. "Who knows? Kentucky is strong, and he definitely has the highest defense among the four of us." Then, he looked at Hoblio. "By the way, I wouldn’t do that."

Hoblio was taken aback. Did Rean notice his real plan? Truth be told, Hoblio intended to send Xixie into his Pocket Dimensional Realm to keep her safe in there. However, before he did, Rean gave him that warning. "Why?"

Rean spoke the obvious. "Because all they would have to do is to put you inside the Time Slowing Formation. What’s the point then?"

"At least I can stay with Xixie," Hoblio countered.

"Brother, stop," Xixie didn’t let him do so, though. "I will not drag you down with me. It is not like they will try to kill me. You are already a Divinity, so if no one kills you, we will see each other again."

Hoblio gritted his teeth, but seeing Xixie’s smile, he gave up. "Fine..."

---

Back at Kentucky and Glauco, they looked at each other but didn’t start their fight. There was that same barrier as before, and Zanbril had to open it first.

"I wonder why you would go so far as to die for that girl," Glauco asked from the other side.

Kentucky smiled. "Don’t worry, there is no risk of dying here for both of us. Zanbril will stop this fight before that."

Glauco narrowed his eyes. The Zanbril he knows wouldn’t try to save Kentucky. Politically speaking, those princesses who died earlier were far more important than Kentucky is, even if Kentucky showed immense potential. Yet, Zanbril let them all die without a care. He can’t see why Zanbril would save Kentucky. ’No, wait... Did he say for both of us?’

Glauco couldn’t help but laugh. "Hahaha! Are you saying you have the chance to kill me?"

Kentucky shrugged in response. "Who knows? As the old saying goes, never say never."

Then, Zanbril’s voice echoed in their ears. "Sorry for the wait. The guys weren’t expecting these zones to be used again after the test was over. I’ll open the barrier now. You are free to fight to your heart’s content. If Glauco wins, Xixie will be sealed inside a time-slowing formation. If Kentucky wins, that won’t happen. Now, get ready."

*Zup!*

As soon as Zanbril finished his words, the barrier vanished.

*Fluah!*

Suddenly, a streak of Black and White light shot in Glauco’s direction, showing a speed that no Celestial could look down.

"Hmph!" Glauco was surprised, but he saw Kentucky’s fights earlier. He didn’t discard the possibility that Kentucky was even faster. His Celestial Energy descended from the Celestial Plane, much, much more than when Kentucky fought the Semi-Celestial. At the same time, the Celestial Laws of Water followed with the Water Element, creating a world of bubbles around Glauco.

’Heat Draining Domain!’

Glauco’s Domain, powered by his Celestial Energy and Laws, began to absorb all of Kentucky’s body heat. The black and white flames around Kentucky’s body seemed to lose strength, and even Kentucky’s own speed decreased by a huge margin. "You are fast, but that is far from enough."

Then, he shot forward, several water dragons following him. The dragon’s heads solidified into a special ice, coming crashing against the approaching Kentucky.

Kentucky also reacted, of course!

’Kawa Blade Domain!’

His Feather Blades shoot everywhere, attacking the bubbles that were robbing him of his heat. However, the Celestial Energy and Laws were truly no joke!

*tud, tud, tud, tud... bang!*

The bubbles shouldn’t be so resistant. And yet, four or five of Kentucky’s Feather Blades were needed to burst a single bubble! ’Tch...’

Kentucky stopped.

’Yin Yang Sky Feather Blades!’

Kentucky’s body suddenly lit up with more intense Light and Dark Flames; those flames then converged on ten specific Blade Feathers from his body. Spatial Power covered them, emanating a powerful sensation. Naturally, Sky Energy was also present, and so was his Celestial Bloodline. He didn’t use this skill all the time as it required burning some of his bloodline, which took time to recover.

*Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang...*

The Sky Feather Blades collided with the Ice Dragon Heads, both sides exploding with extreme energy and laws that spread in all directions.

However, from behind that chaos, Glauco appeared, his fist now holding another ice dragon head like a gauntlet that struck Kentucky’s chest head-on!

*Boom!*

Kentucky shot backwards like a meteor, all the while, the bubbles continued to rob him of his body heat. Kentucky had to use even more of his Sky Energy just to make up for that.

*Cra, cra, cra...*

Then, a layer of extremely cold celestial ice began to form on Kentucky’s chest, the Coldness and Celestial Laws of water trying to invade his body while Kentucky used his Dark Element and Laws to destroy them. As anyone could expect, the Celestial Laws and the Water Element supported by them were stronger than Kentucky’s Dark Element and Laws.
