Chapter 3998: Catching Up Accepted
Chapter 3998: Catching Up Accepted
The intervention created by the Werdlem Empire made it impossible to stop the times in the Time Plates. However, with the Time Plates inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, the outside issues couldn’t get inside.
Xyrath immediately connected to his Time Plates inside the Dimensional Realm, and sure enough, he didn’t feel the blockage he always felt outside. He thought he would never feel that again since the Time Plates shouldn’t be able to be moved into different Dimensional Realms. Yet, the Twins’ Dimensional Realm broke that logic.
*Click, click... click... click...*
In just a few moments, the possible futures being shown inside the Time Plates stopped. It was as if everything inside was frozen in time. Xyrath couldn’t help but feel excited. "It... It worked!"
"Great!" Everyone felt exhilarated.
However, Sister Orb quickly warned them all. [Alright, he stopped time. Now Xyrath only needs to wait as time catches up to the same point in time inside the Time Plates. There is an issue, though.]
Roan knew that. "The Plates must stay disconnected from the outside world. Otherwise, the time inside them will start to move forward again."
[Exactly,] Sister Orb confirmed. [Xyrath, would you be able to stop that from happening?]
"No," Xyrath was certain. "However, the time gained while they were frozen won’t be lost. That said, every time a Time Plate synchronizes with our time, it will stay that way. It’s just that we need to wait the right amount of time for each of them. For example, I told you about that Plate with a 537-year display, right? Once I freeze the time inside that possible future, we will have to wait 537 years so our time synchronizes with it."
Tony reminded everyone of something. ’I hope you didn’t forget about the consequences of keeping the Time Plates disconnected from the outside world. The laws and time acceleration outside are likely being affected again.’
[Yes. I’ll reconnect the Time Plates now. It was just a few seconds, so nothing that would cause any worries for those outside.]
The plates once again connected to the outside world, and any side effects of their disappearance disappeared.
"How will we do this then?" Kentucky asked.
Well, he actually already knew the answer. In fact, everyone did, but they waited for Xyrath to say it himself.
"There is no other way. If we don’t want to affect the Laws and Time Acceleration of the Future Realm, we can’t take too many Time Plates into the Dimensional Realm at once," Xyrath explained the obvious. "This will be a slow process until I can sync all Time Plates."
Rean and the others looked at Roan, waiting to see if he also considered following that plan. They were likely talking of thousands of years until all Time Plates are synchronized.
"So be it," Roan decided. "At the very least, time inside the Future Realm moves much faster. By the time we are done, probably just a few decades will have passed outside."
"It is not all that bad," Celis seemed to not care. "We can just cultivate a lot, which we already intended to do anyway. We got plenty of Divine Stones, and even if we run out of them, we can just beat the hell out of other groups and take their Divine Stones for ourselves."
[Alright... Xyrath, we will count on you to find the Time Plates we should work on first.]
"Very well," Xyrath’s Soul asked something else. "Just get me another one of the tiny snakes outside. I will use it as a host until we are ready to rebuild my body."
*Zush!*
In the next second, one of those tiny snakes appeared. Xyrath immediately took control of it, sending the small Time Plate, where his Soul was residing, inside it. Soon, he was the one controlling that body. "Good. It is a lot better when I can have something similar to my own body to move around."
Roan wouldn’t stay there just watching, though. "Since that’s the case, Celis, Tanxan, let’s go. We are returning to the Qufis Alliance. It will be better if we don’t stay away for too long."
Celis was more than happy to comply. After all, he could stay still while the others would go out to procure the Time Plates. "Sure."
As for Tanxan, he also preferred the still group. "That’s good too."
That trio disappeared in the next moment, leaving Rean, Kentucky, Foliana, and Xyrath behind. Of course, Laiana was still on call through the Werdlem Network.
-Xyrath, I haven’t given up yet. Why did you allow yourself to be captured?-
Xyrath refused to answer. "That’s my problem, not yours. If you aren’t satisfied, just know that I got something out of it, that’s all."
-Tch! I will definitely find out. You will see.- She turned her attention back to Rean. -I will end the call now and have Yuan arrange someone to stay with me all the time. If something happens, just use the CD to contact us.-
Rean nodded. "Sure. Thank you for your help, Senior Laiana."
-I’m the one who should thank you for helping that idiot over there,- Laiana answered, feeling relieved now that she knew Xyrath could get himself free.
Before Xyrath could retort, Laiana ended the call.
"That monster truly doesn’t know when to shut up..." Xyrath felt helpless.
Following that, he turned to Rean and the others. "Right, we talked so much until now, but I don’t even know your names or who you are yet."
Everyone was taken aback. "That’s true. Do you trust us that much?"
"I don’t trust you at all," Xyrath didn’t hide his real feelings. "However, I do trust Laiana, and she trusts you, so that’s enough for me. Now, let’s learn a little bit more about each other."
During the following hours, those who remained inside the Dimensional Realm had a long conversation. Only after that did Xyrath focus on the task ahead. "You guys truly had some weird adventures to get here... Well, whatever. This will be a slow process, but we will obviously take the fastest path possible. Let’s go out. With me here, I can open Spatial Gates and bring us directly to the right Time Plates."
