Chapter 3916: Good Look
Chapter 3916: Good Look
In addition to Wisfreya and the twins’ group, there were approximately two hundred youngsters from Verjansy Country. The country truly tried to gather its best prospects before sending them here, and they were all around the same cultivation as Wisfreya.
The difference was that while Wisfreya was only twenty-eight, there were a few of them who had already surpassed the age of fifty. Nonetheless, no one here was below the Transition Realm. Wisfreya didn’t have the highest cultivation, though. She was only in the Initial Stage still.
That title went to Gruxi, a forty-nine-year-old at the Late Stage of the same Realm.
Looking at everyone’s confused expressions, Ruberto began to explain.
In the past, Runia Continent wasn’t as stable as it is now. Even within its own borders, the power struggle persisted for thousands of years, ultimately depleting the continent’s resources. Ultimately, no one managed to take over.
However, things couldn’t continue like that, as the Runia Continent might end up being conquered by external forces instead. The powers that struggled so much wouldn’t just sit by and watch someone else do what they have been trying for so long.
Thus, after centuries of war and uneasy truces, the continent’s major nations established a fragile alliance, known as the Continental Accord. To maintain peace and prevent another large-scale conflict, they founded the Divine Military Exchange Program. Some actually call it the Divine Military Academy.
It was a joint initiative where each nation sent its most promising young warriors, strategists, and cultivators to train, compete, and undertake missions together.
Officially, it’s about ’unity, cooperation, and shared strength.’
Unofficially, it’s a massive spy network and talent evaluation system. Every country secretly hopes to recruit or gauge the potential of the others’ prodigies.
For the Verjansy Country, which intended to go back to the Green Cluster later on, this was actually a great opportunity. In the Exchange Program, Wisfreya and the others would have everything they needed for cultivation. After all, what good would it be if Wisfreya and the rest completely stopped cultivating and did nothing while they were here?
Plenty of experience available to be gained, and the chance to interact not only with the nearby countries, but with the geniuses of the entire continent. It was definitely many times more promising than the Martial Gathering the Surute Region held back in their homes.
Even better, as the situation here has always been more volatile than back in the Green Cluster, the young generations of this continent were more adapted to a life of challenges. That would definitely help develop the Verjansy Country’s kids.
"Every single one of you was a top genius back in our Verjansy Country, screened out of billions and billions of similar-age experts," Ruberto continued. "It goes without saying that you were all accepted into the program, and that’s where you will be developing for the years to come."
Granhu, one of the youngsters, couldn’t help but ask. "Isn’t it too risky, Senior Ruberto? If this is truly this kind of environment, aren’t you afraid that we would end up accepting the invitation of some other country here instead of returning to Verjansy?"
Ruberto expected that question. "That is even better. If you can gain power and get stronger as part of some other nation, that means they are willing to support you, too. In the future, this kind of connection might actually become a bridge between our Verjansy Country and these nations, even though we are so far apart. President Bugel and I believe that you will not forget what Verjansy did for you, or at least, we hope so."
Ruberto smiled. "Well, this is all talk for the future. For now, I will send you the invitation forms on your CDs. Tomorrow, you will be leaving first thing in the morning. I’m looking forward to your achievements there."
Ruberto then spent some time with everyone, answering questions and such for the following hours with a few of his officials. Only then did everyone disperse to prepare for the journey.

Later that day, the twins’ group gathered again.
"What do you think?" Rean asked Roan, feeling rather relaxed.
Roan had his arms crossed, not thinking much, though. "What is there to talk about? It is a good idea. We go there, cultivate, stay a few decades at most, and then we leave. This one is actually better than back in Panpasin Continent and Green Cluster, as we will now get directly involved with all the powers of this continent instead of just a small region."
"I’m seeing here they have a pretty good Formations Hall," Zangeshu was already looking into the information. "For me, that is all that matters."
Tanxan took a look with him. "Those are some quite harsh requirements they are putting there. I like it."
Foliana joined. "It is also good that we are now supposedly in the Void Tempering Realm, so we won’t matter even if a Divinity Realm Expert sees us with their Natural Spatial Perception. Back in the Green Cluster, we had to be careful to not get close to them before the Void Tempering."
Kentucky wasn’t as interested. "They have a beast hall there... Guess that’s where Celis and I will spend some time."
"Sister Orb, is there anything we should take note of, or can we simply aim for the top?" Rean asked the orb on the side.
[It is exactly as Ruberto put it. This place exists to promote interaction between the countries on the surface, but it is quite dark under the veil. Information is being quite well concealed from what I can see in the network, too. You can expect quite some dark shit happening once you join.]
"You mean, things like sabotage, assassinations, blackmail, and such?" Celis asked.
[Yes, the basic.]
"It does sound a little entertaining indeed," Rean said, smiling.
[There is also another good thing to pay attention to. The Runia Continent isn’t the only one with an organization like this one. The other continents around have similar institutes, and it is pretty common to have them interact with each other. If you want to gain fame faster, you’d better join the Runia Continent whenever these interactions happen. That way, not only will you show your power to Runia, but also to the continents around. It is quite a lot more developed than what the Green Cluster was doing.]
"Good," Roan made up his mind. "Initially, I was intending to come here and have us follow different paths while staying on the same continent. But since this program exists, we can actually act together and still achieve similar or better results. Tomorrow, we will take a good look at this Program."
