Death… And Me

Chapter 3827: Kentucky’s Plan

Chapter 3827: Kentucky’s Plan

Kunprio had seen the twins’ group entering the Dimensional Realm. He could have followed them straight away, but he didn’t. That’s because he had to keep the opening open for Plinio and Rokerfa to enter as well.

Truth be told, Kunprio wasn’t even supposed to be here. He received the report of a Spatial Gate opening near the central area of the Galaxy. However, he also knew the Massive Blackhole at the center of the Galaxy often caused the space to tear apart. Hence, he simply thought it was another one of those cases.

When he received the call from Rokerfa, he moved to this side of the Universe in almost an instant, using his Universe Owner’s abilities to do so. It was pretty much how the twins could connect anywhere in the Lisan Universe and not care about distances. Of course, there were differences too, but nothing that unbelievable.

Either way, after allowing Plinio and Rokerfa to come inside, he entered the Dimensional Realm with them, and that’s why they took a few extra minutes to appear there. He had to bring those two, as the twins’ group obviously had three members. If they moved in different directions, even he couldn’t do anything about it.

---

Back inside the Corrupted System’s Dimensional Realm, Kunprio had his Divine Sense spread, trying to find the twins’ group. Too bad his power was truly restrained in this place, and he could only use a tiny bit of Divine Energy. Naturally, his Divine Sense couldn’t cover more than a few kilometers. As for Plinio and Rokerfa, their Divine Senses had an even smaller range in this situation.

"The core is exactly 37580 kilometers away from here, and without being able to use Divine Energy, the intruders shouldn’t have gone far." As expected, Kunprio had all the information necessary about this place. "Since the intruders likely can’t use Divine Energy, they shouldn’t be faster than us. We only took a few minutes to enter this Dimensional Realm from the same side, so they should appear in my Divine Sense range soon."

Rokerfa and Plinio nodded, ready to fight at any moment.

Unfortunately, things didn’t play out as he said.

One hour went by...

Then two...

Then three...

Kunprio started to wonder if those guys had gone somewhere else instead of aiming for the core. But then again, he knew this place didn’t have anything else. ’Could they have gone in another direction just to confuse me...?’ he wondered on his own.

Plinio and Rokerfa looked at each other but didn’t comment on what was happening. It was evident that things didn’t play out as Kunprio expected.

So, how far ahead was Kentucky at the moment? Well, the truth is that Kentucky wasn’t ahead... he was behind!

"How is it, Kentucky?" Roan asked, his expression serious as he was ready to fight at any moment.

Kentucky faintly smiled, his eyes shining as he looked far ahead. "Oh yeah, there couldn’t be a better guide in this place, now could it? Hahaha!"

This entire Dimensional Realm was pretty much an empty space, but with gravity and a flat ground to step on. That said, there was nothing blocking your regular sight.

Now then, who had, by far, the best sight in this Dimensional Realm? Kunprio? The twins? Plinio or Rokerfa? Of course not! Kentucky had it!

After they entered the Dimensional Realm, the space around them warped and the red light intensified. The red light only disappeared after they stepped on the ground. Seeing that, the twins’ group understood it was similar to the Silver Light that occurred when a teleport was initiated or completed. But instead of silver, it was red, which should be connected to the Corrupted System’s own traits.

So, it was apparent that when another red light appeared not too far away from them, it was bound to be Kunprio. So, Kentucky didn’t fly away from there. Instead, he flew as far as he could to the side but stayed just close enough to see Kunprio’s group. Kentucky knew it. Unless Kunprio had a Demon Beast with better sight than himself, Kunprio definitely wouldn’t be able to see him.

Could there be? Kentucky wouldn’t say something like he had the best sight of all, but with his Celestial Bloodline and especially his Minokawa race, he shouldn’t be too far off. If Kentucky kept a distance where he could barely see Kunprio, then Kunprio likely wouldn’t see him. Kentucky bet that the restraints of this Dimensional Realm wouldn’t allow Kunprio to find him through other methods, like Divine Sense.

Rean and Roan didn’t know which direction to go to find the core. So, taking it all into consideration... why not let Kunprio guide them there?

Of course, Rean and Roan were skeptical at first. Who could tell that Kunprio couldn’t use his powers in this place? But then again, they would be found sooner or later, so they might at least give Kentucky’s idea a try instead of flying aimlessly. Even worse, if they truly spent a lot of time flying around without a proper destination, more experts could end up being brought into this place to look for them.

To their surprise, Kentucky’s plan worked perfectly. They knew Kunprio’s group could use their Divine Energy since Kentucky could see them flying. However, they also saw their speed, and it confirmed that although Kunprio’s group could use Divine Energy, they were also restricted by a great extent!

Since the twins’ group succeeded in infiltrating the Corrupted System’s Dimensional Realm, Kunprio most likely thought he knew exactly where the twins’ group was going. Kunprio wouldn’t try to check the surrounding area. He absolutely would fly straight to where the core was located... which Kunprio did.

Last but not least, this plan only worked because of Kentucky’s incredible raw strength and Celestial Bloodline. Thanks to that, Kentucky could just barely keep up with Kunprio’s group, even though he couldn’t use any energy. It was all just the power of his wings, flapping as fast as necessary in this almost airless realm.

And so, Kunprio led the way, and the longer Kunprio took to locate the twins’ group, the more certain he was that the twins’ group knew what they were doing. So, he didn’t deviate from his path. In fact, he was getting nervous, afraid that the twins’ group would get to the core before him. Little did he know he was the one bringing the twins’ group there!
