The ’egg’ floated down, right in the middle of the survivors. Many still had their doubts since it felt like everything that had happened before had no meaning. Of course, pretty much no one other than the twins’ group would complain. This was one extra chance for them, so why would they?
Immediately, a few of the experts pounced forward, trying to grab the egg. Victor said that no fight was allowed, but he said nothing of taking the egg for oneself. That was a good thing. They could take the egg, and no one would be able to fight them for it. They would have their sweet time trying to absorb while the others just watched.
*Bzzz!*
Yet, as soon as the foremost experts got within a few meters of the egg, a multicolored light appeared. It lashed out like arcs of lightning and fire, hitting those experts head-on. It was too fast, too strong. In a split second, sixteen experts became history. Their bodies and souls were obliterated.
The others who were running after the egg instantly jumped back, fear written on their faces. Had they been closer to the egg, they would have been there instead of those who just died.
The kid laughed above. "Hahaha! I just said you had to be accepted to it, and you tried to take it away? What a bunch of idiots. Next time, use your heads."
Rifindio couldn’t help but raise his hand. "What about the marks I acquired? Do they have any use now?"
The kid looked at him. "Don’t worry, the marks have their uses. You will find out in time, but not now. Keep them with you."
The twins looked at each other. If Rifindio doesn’t acquire the egg, what could the marks be good for? He wouldn’t be a Universe Owner in the end, after all. Still, it wasn’t time to think about that. "Let’s approach the egg and take a look."
Roan lifted from the ground, flying past the experts. One thing that happened after the egg appeared was that the gravity came back to normal, and flight became available. Several others were also in the air now, checking the egg up close, but none of them approached too much. Rean and the others followed, and they also used their Divine Senses, which were also available again, to check the egg. Too bad Divine Sense wasn’t of much use. It couldn’t penetrate the egg. Soul Power Scan didn’t work either.
"What do you think could attract its attention?" Rifindio asked.
"Maybe laws?" Kentucky considered.

Roan pondered it, especially regarding the moment the experts were killed earlier. He switched to Divine Sense Message from there. ’The multicolored light that killed the guys earlier. It seemed to be a mix of all elements.’
Roan wasn’t the only one to notice that. But then again, was there anyone who could use all the elements? The answer was yes... everyone! Let’s not forget, even if you don’t have a certain elemental affinity, it doesn’t mean you can’t use it. You just won’t be anywhere as good as an expert with that affinity.
With that said, Roan and a few others tried to control all the elements at once, sending them in the egg’s direction. But once again, they were met with failure. The egg continued to show no reaction.
Fishel was also nearby. He got this extra chance, but he was confused. ’Universe Root Egg...’
Futsuka and Gamera too. ’Maybe all laws?’
The Camazotz Bats, the Romuteri Clan, the Dread Ship Sect, everyone was there, and soon, the experts began to exchange ideas. It was better than being stuck in there.
