"Who the hell are you and where did you come from?!" Owen halted his movement to analyze the newcomer.
"You're not a living being but a treasure…?" Owen could hardly believe his eyes after realizing her true form, as he'd never seen a treasure take the form of a human before.
"Master, can I devour him?" The Demon Annihilation Sword asked as she pointed at Owen.
"Not entirely, but you can take some small bites out of him," Yuan said. "Just make sure you don't kill him."
The Demon Annihilation Sword nodded, but before she went to confront Owen, she extended her arm toward Yuan and handed something to him.
"This is…?"
Yuan looked at the object she handed him with raised eyebrows.
It was a small, round object resembling a marble. Moreover, it was something he knew very well, as he had consumed many of them before.
"Where did you get this Demon Core?" Yuan asked her. "And who does it belong to?"
The object she handed him was a Demon Core, and it contained an immense amount of energy—far more than any Demon Core he'd consumed before. Of course, this included the Demon Emperors' Demon Cores.
"This belongs to the one I just finished consuming," she said.
"The one you just consumed? That would mean it belongs to… Supreme Ruler Exosso…?" Yuan stared at her with wide eyes.
As far as he was aware, Supreme Ruler Exosso didn't leave behind a Demon Core after his death, so how did she acquire it?
Unfortunately, Yuan didn't have the time to ponder about it, and the Demon Annihilation Sword went to confront Owen before he could ask any more questions.
