Chapter 2397 Prime Eternal Morveth

Chapter 2397  Prime Eternal Morveth

As the Spear of Extinction streaked through the Starry Sky at speeds beyond light itself, anything that came into its path, or even drifted too close, was reduced to nothingness, dispersing like smoke.

In mere moments, hundreds of stars were erased from existence, their light extinguished as though they had never been.

The amount of Eternal Essence that surrounded this attack was immense and several times more powerful than Saaruk's final attack on Yuan.

Because Yuan was currently within the Demonic Realm and not the Nine Heavens, there was no Absolute Power to shield him.

Of course, Yuan remained completely unaware that he had been targeted… or that the attack would reach him within mere minutes.

However, just as the Spear of Extinction was mere moments from reaching the Demonic Realm, a profound and unfathomable energy suddenly enveloped it—halting its advance mid-flight before obliterating it entirely.

Sensing that her attack had been destroyed, Prime Eternal Morveth turned her attention to the individual who had intervened and spoke to them.

"What is the meaning of this, Deemo?" she questioned, addressing this individual as Deemo.

"I should be asking you that, Morveth," Deemo replied, his voice dripping with agitation. "What reason do you have for attempting to destroy my world without provocation?"

"I wasn't trying to destroy your world," she replied calmly. "I was merely punishing the bastard who killed my beloved pet."

"What kind of nonsense is that?" Deemo shot back, his voice rising with anger. "That attack of yours would have torn a hole straight through my entire world!"

"I may have used a bit more power than intended, given my… frustration," she replied, offering a rather half-hearted excuse.

Then, she continued, "Anyway, hand over the bastard who killed my pet, and I'll leave your world alone."

"Hahaha!" Deemo burst into laughter. "Who do you think you are, making demands of me? Don't mistake me for one of those ordinary Eternals you can order around. Have you forgotten? I stand as a Prime Eternal, just like you."

He continued, his voice laced with scorn, "Your pet was killed because it was weak. And yet you seek vengeance for it. Have you no shame, given your status and power?"

Morveth sneered with clear disdain. "Had it been slain by some ordinary being from your world, I wouldn't have cared. But it was killed by someone wielding Eternal Essence, which is no different from a direct challenge to me!"

"Oh? Someone who wields Eternal Essence is in my world?" Deemo remarked with intrigue.

Then, he fell silent, presumably to look into his world.

A few moments later, he noticed three distinct and unique individuals in the same location somewhere at the Bloody Expanse.

'That's the Primal Sovereign of the Seas, as well as the old Supreme Ruler Dena… Hmm? A human? In my world? He also looks familiar…'

It took a moment, but Deemo recognized Yuan's face, and his soul, and his expression subtly stiffened.

'T-That human… Tian Chenyu?! When and how did he return to the Demonic Realm?! The gateway between our worlds is still clearly sealed!' he cried inwardly.

He wasn't sure how Yuan appeared in his world, but it was definitely a surprise he wasn't expecting.

'And to think the first thing he does after returning is stir up trouble that nearly destroyed my world…' Deemo sighed.

"I have located and identified the individual who killed your pet," Deemo revealed to Morveth shortly later.

"Then what are you waiting for? Hurry up and hand him over to me, and I will get out of your hair."

"Do you truly expect me to help you for nothing?" Deemo sneered.

"You… What is it that you desire that you cannot already obtain yourself?" Morveth asked, genuine intrigue flickering in her voice.

"It's not about what I want," he replied, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "It's about what you're willing to offer for my trouble. You see… that individual is quite the nuisance to deal with, so I'll require proper compensation."

"A nuisance? For a Prime Eternal like you? And within your own domain, no less?" she replied, her voice thick with skepticism. "I don't believe that for a second."

"You don't have to believe me, but without proper compensation, I will not do anything for you," Deemo said in a stubborn tone. "..."

After a long minute of silence, Morveth asked, "Just out of curiosity, what kind of compensation would you consider proper?"

"Let's see…" Deemo pondered for a moment before responding, "Thirty percent of your territory, as well as ten trillion years' worth of Eternal Essence."

Morveth's entire body stiffened, her composure cracking as disbelief surged through her upon hearing Deemo's demand.

"Are you out of your damn mind?! What kind of unreasonable compensation is that?! It's not like I am asking you to kill another Prime Eternal for me!" she exclaimed in bewilderment.

"The cost of your earlier transgression will be included in the compensation as well," he added nonchalantly. "In return, I will overlook your attack on my world."

"Deemo, how dare you mock me with such nonsense?! Are you trying to start a war with me?!" Morveth shouted in anger.

"No, I am being super serious with you right now," Deemo replied with a clear voice. "I believe that compensation is needed for me to get involved with that individual."

"..."

After a moment of silence, Morveth spoke, her tone sharp with suspicion. "Just who is that bastard, for you to act so hesitant—so cowardly?"

"Don't bother trying to provoke me with such petty tactics, Morveth," Deemo replied coolly. "I am not afraid of him. He is simply… too troublesome to deal with, especially when there is nothing to be gained from it."

"But you're asking for far too much!" she snapped. "Thirty percent of my territory? Ten trillion years' worth of Eternal Essence? Even a dozen Eternals wouldn't be worth that, let alone a single individual! At that point, you might as well demand I become your servant!"

"So, you're refusing my offer?" Deemo asked.

"Of course I am!" she shot back without hesitation. "That's nothing short of robbery! Nobody would be foolish enough to accept it!"
