Shortly after the Rising Phoenix Clan's leader informed the Ten Royal Phoenix Clans of the gathering, the others promptly contacted the Celestial Emperor to report the situation, since failing to do so might have been seen as acting behind his back. Naturally, the Rising Phoenix Clan had done the same. That said, the Royal Phoenix Clans had contacted the Celestial Emperor largely as a formality, and few of them truly regarded the matter as treacherous.
When the Celestial Emperor learned of the existence of a second Primordial Phoenix, he was just as surprised and intrigued as the Royal Phoenix Clans. Thus, he suggested that everyone take part in the gathering. Since seven of the ten had already agreed to participate, he was mostly speaking to the three who initially declined.
"Before we even begin, I would like to confirm something." Another phoenix suddenly spoke out loud. "To not waste anyone's time, I want to see for myself the evidence that you are a Primordial Phoenix."
Though nobody else said anything else, many of the phoenixes present could be seen nodding their heads in agreement, as they all shared the same sentiment.
"Sure." Feng Yuxiang agreed without hesitation.
One of the phoenixes in the chamber produced a crimson needle crafted from a crystal- lie material and spoke loudly, “Instead of the Golden Phoenix Needle, we'll be using the Celestial Phoenix Needle. It was crafted from a Primordial Phoenix's feather and blood. Not only is it more accurate than the Golden Phoenix Needle, but it will also produce a distinct reaction upon sensing the Primordial Phoenix bloodline. The other Primordial Phoenix also used this needle to test their bloodline, so it would only be fair to test your bloodline with it as well."
“Use whatever needle you want. The results won't change.” Feng Yuxiang responded with full confidence.
The phoenix holding the Celestial Phoenix Needle rose to his feet and approached Feng Yuxiang, needle in hand. Moments later, he drew several drops of her blood and waited. Within seconds, the needle began to tremble before bursting into a brilliant crimson flame, the fire taking the form of a phoenix with wings outstretched.
“It's true! She's a genuine Primordial Phoenix!” the man exclaimed, awe written across his face.
The others in the chamber echoed his astonishment, their expressions a mix of shock and delight. No matter their personal feelings, the appearance of two Primordial Phoenixes at the same time was nothing short of a miracle—an event worthy of celebration.
“That's not all!" The man with the Celestial Phoenix Needle continued. "The purity of her bloodline is at 98.8 percent! It's much higher than the other Primordial Phoenix's bloodline!”
"What?!" the leader of the Rising Phoenix Clan exclaimed, leaping to her feet in shock. "I tested her bloodline only three months ago, and it was at 97.9 percent! Are you telling me it's risen by nearly a whole percent in that short time?!"
"Perhaps the Golden Phoenix Needle failed to measure her bloodline accurately,” one of the phoenixes suggested.
However, Feng Yuxiang dismissed that notion and said, "I don't know if she mentioned it, but my bloodline was cursed for thousands of years and only began recovering a few years ago. I believed I had already fully recovered, but clearly, that wasn't the case. I'm willing to bet that my bloodline will reach 99 percent sooner or later."
The chamber fell into silence, as none of the phoenixes present could truly fathom what it meant to possess a bloodline purity of ninety-nine percent.
“Is there anything else you need to verify before we begin the meeting?" Yuan asked, breaking the silence.
“What about you?" Someone responded a second later. "Who are you, and what qualifications do you have to stand before us, much less speak with us?"
"Do I qualify to be here?" Feng Yuxiang suddenly asked.
"Of course. You're a Primordial Phoenix with near 99 percent bloodline purity," the phoenix quickly responded.
“Then he, my master, definitely qualifies to stand before you."
“Outrageous! How can a Primordial Phoenix like you serve as a mere human's servant?!" someone exclaimed, their voice brimming with indignation.
“Why not? The other Primordial Phoenix serves the Celestial Emperor, and as far as I know, the Celestial Emperor is human as well," Feng Yuxiang replied.
“I-That's a different story! The Celestial Emperor is the most powerful human in the Nine Heavens!"
“Well, I beg to differ. My Young Master is unquestionably superior to the Celestial Emperor,’ Feng Yuxiang declared calmly, not a trace of hesitation in her voice. Her words left the room dumbfounded.
A little over twenty phoenixes were present, with two to three representatives from each of the Ten Royal Phoenix Clans.
“Let's calm down," Yuan said after a brief silence.
He went on calmly, "I was the one who summoned this gathering—not you, nor anyone else in this chamber. If you believe I am unqualified to be here, then you are free to leave."
The phoenixes narrowed their eyes at Yuan's boldness, but despite their displeasure, they all remained in their seats.
“Now with that settled, let's begin the meeting, shall we?"
The phoenixes nodded.
“Let's begin with a quick introduction. My name's Yuan."
“I'm Feng Yuxiang."
Despite giving his real name, none of the phoenixes recognized it. Although his name had spread during the Sword Emperor's Qualifications, most beasts held no interest in matters irrelevant to them and hadn't bothered to watch. Even in the wider world, the number of people who had witnessed the event was insignificant when compared to the grand scale of the populace.
The leader of the Rising Phoenix Clan introduced themselves next.
"Feng Lingyang of the Rising Phoenix Clan."
"Feng Niepan of the Nirvana Phoenix Clan." The phoenix seated beside the Rising Phoenix Clan went next.
"Feng Qiongyao of the Crimson Rebirth Phoenix Clan."
"Feng Yushan of the Heavenly Phoenix Clan."
One by one, the leaders of the Royal Phoenix Clans introduced themselves.
By the end, Yuan had learned the names of every clan.
