"Celestial Overlord Xu, I am going to bring his friends to my sect in the Seventh Heaven, and I am going to train them until Yuan makes his way there," Kelan said to Xu Jiaqi after Yuan's matter was settled.
She nodded, "I understand. I will help you with the arrangements."
Kelan bowed to her, "Thank you!"
With someone powerful like Xu Jiaqi helping him, their process would speed up greatly.
"You will have about a week left with them," Kelan said to Yuan afterward.
Senior Bai made a gesture with his hands. Moments later, a floating island with a large house approached them from a distance at the speed of sound, stopping right before them.
"You can use this place as you wish until then," he said.
"Thank you." Yuan nodded.
Upon closer inspection, there was a beautiful still pond and even a training ground on the island.
"Then I will leave now to deal with your friends' matters. Don't forget about what we talked about." Xu Jiaqi said to Yuan.
He nodded, "I won't."
Once Xu Jiaqi and the others left, the Demon Sealing Faction gathered on the island.
There, each member recalled their training experience with Kelan.
Li Jinxi appeared at the Myriad of Techniques once her death cooldown ended.
"You're really cruel, you know that?" Li Jinxi greeted Yuan with a frown on her face.
Li Jinxi had been told of Yuan's situation by Meixiu earlier. When she first learned that the man from the upper heavens she'd lost to was actually Yuan, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"I am truly sorry for killing you. It was an accident." Yuan apologized to her with a sincere bow.
Li Jinxi sighed, "I know, but that also means I was below your expectations, right?"
Li Jinxi clenched her fist in anger. The thing that frustrated her the most wasn't her defeat but realizing that despite all of her hard work, she was still miles behind Yuan, and there was a good chance the gap between them had even widened.
'And to think I thought that I was actually catching up… How laughable,' she sighed inwardly, feeling dejected.
Seeing her expression, Yuan smiled and said, "You have surpassed my expectations in terms of growth, and you will become stronger at an even faster rate once you train in the upper heavens, where the resources are much more abundant."
"Let's postpone our real match with each other until then."
Li Jinxi nodded with a resolute face.
A few days later, Kelan returned to the Myriad of Techniques and said to Yuan, "Celestial Overlord Qing will arrive in the Fourth Heaven in a few hours. I have prepared a place for the two of you."
"Alright. Take me there." Yuan retrieved his mask and wore it before leaving the Myriad of Techniques with Kelan.
Sometime later, as they arrived at their destination, Yuan raised an eyebrow at the unexpected location.
"This is… a wine restaurant?" Yuan muttered as he saw the store.
"Celestial Overlord Qing is a wine enthusiast. She will be able to cope with your rejection much better here," said Kelan.
"I see." Yuan didn't say much and entered the restaurant with Kelan. It was completely empty inside, as Kelan had reserved the entire place for the entire day.
Once inside, they sat at the lone table in the middle of the empty room. There were two chairs, indicating that Kelan had no plans of being there for the recruitment.
"I'll be waiting outside," Kelan said.
"So you really have no plan on participating?" Yuan asked.
He shook his head and sighed, "I have no place to participate. Not only am I a mere Commander, but Celestial Overlord Qiang is from a different group. My only job was to make sure you would be present before her arrival."
"Good luck, and don't mess it up."
"How could I mess it up?" Yuan raised an eyebrow.
"How would I know? You're as unpredictable as fate." Kelan shrugged before walking outside to wait for Celestial Overlord Qiang's arrival.
Half an hour later, Kelan noticed a figure descending from the sky, landing before him.
"Commander Kelan greets Celestial Overlord Qiang." Kelan respectfully bowed to the beautiful young lady standing before him.
Celestial Overlord Qiang was a graceful young lady who appeared to be at the end of her adolescent years. She had an elegant presence, as if brought up in a prestigious and noble family. She was someone who could easily be mistaken as an innocent young lady who had been spoiled her entire life.
Celestial Overlord Qiang acknowledged Kelan with a slight nod before turning to look inside the restaurant. An excited smile appeared on her face as she spoke, "Even though I am still outside, I can feel his tyrannical presence. Looks like you weren't exaggerating about his existence. If anything, I think you underestimated him!"
Unable to contain her excitement, Celestial Overlord Qiang walked inside the restaurant.
Kelan remained standing outside, acting like a guard.
The moment Yuan laid eyes on Celestial Overlord Qiang, he instinctively wondered if she was lost, as she lacked any noticeable presence.
Celestial Overlord Qiang walked to the table and gave him an elegant bow, "It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Qiang Qing Yun, one of four Celestial Overlords."
Yuan stood up and bowed back, "The pleasure is mine, Senior Qiang. My surname is Xiao. Forgive me for not revealing my face or full name due to family circumstances."
Qiang Qing Yun calmly dismissed his worries with a slow head shake, "It's okay. I am aware of your situation."
"Please, sit." She gestured at the chairs.
Yuan nodded and sat back down.
'So she is Celestial Overlord Qiang, huh? She's completely different from Xu Jiaqi. If anything, she's the complete opposite.' Yuan thought to himself as Qiang Qing Yun sat down before him.
"I'm sure Kelan already mentioned this to you, but I would like to personally invite you to join the Celestial Overlords." Qiang Qing Yun went straight to the topic after sitting down, leaving no room for small talk.
