Chapter 407
Chapter 407: Super Interrogation
“Yes.” Hearing the hustle and bustle, Qian Jin looked at Rocky Ray, the assassin, and said, “I have to go now! There is an interrogation waiting for me! Show me around when you have time, to your Unyielding Alliance, alright?”
“Sure!” Letting go of all the embarrassment and shyness, Christine smiled herself into being a sweet girl. “We’ll be thrilled to have you!”
Joining the Unyielding Alliance? Suddenly the remarks he had heard on the dance floor once again sounded in his head. Well, in certain aspects, he did have something in common with those so-called weirdoes.
“It came from this way.”
“I think so! I heard people fighting!”
“And I saw magic power…”
The students were approaching. Reaching out, Qian Jin took Gabriella from Christine and nodded to her. “I got to go before they find us. This killer, his identity is an issue.”
Qian Jin then sighed and ran to the enclosing wall. He couldn’t be found, neither could the assassin. The Barbarian Behemoth Bloodline Warrior had now descended to lows such as this would be breaking news! By that time, the client would know and turn to another way. Qian Jin couldn’t risk his life.
“You morons! Why don’t you wait until tomorrow morning? The man has already gone!”
Qian Jin smiled as he heard Principal Isabella roar behind him. The students apologized all at once and the crowd thinned to other directions.
“If you can’t find him tonight, I’ll call off your break and trust me, Instructor Yuqing will wipe the smiles off your silly faces.”
Isabella growled once again. Qian Jin felt like he could smell the tension in the air as if the fear in the students had all been ignited.
Instructor Yuqing? Qian Jin shrugged. Even though the name sounded unfamiliar, he was quite sure the man couldn’t be less horrible than an Undead. The students all scurried away like frightened rats.
Climbing over the wall, Qian Jin rushed all the way back to the Torrent Battle Fort in a carriage. Before he dismounted, he saw Marc Gavin sitting on the stone steps at the gate and smiling like a simple-minded son.
Patting off the dirt on his pants, the president grinned. “Qian Jin? Why are you back so early? Huh… Gabriella? What happened? Did you?!”
The man made a significant smile. “You got her drunk? Wow… But son, I don’t think you should do this. If you want, just ask! Well, this isn’t broad enough. But I promise you I won’t tell anyone. ”
Qian Jin was at a loss whether to cry or laugh. He was so eager to figure out who was the client of Rocky Ray. But all the winking and teasing of Marc Gavin… Fu*k, Qian Jin felt like he was not even equal to many conversations.
“Seriously?” Qian Jin rolled his eyes and walked directly into the hall. “I want a room, solid and secret.”
“My bedroom!” Without looking, Marc Gavin pointed back with his thumb. “Eh? Where did this man come from?”
“I don’t know either but he tried to kill me.” Qian Jin answered snappily while trotting toward Marc’s room. Although it was already late at night and there were few people, Qian Jin couldn’t be too careful. From what he had seen during the past days, he couldn’t trust all the inside of the fort.
At least… Qian Jin looked over to the corner of the yard… Those vice presidents were untrustworthy.
Following Qian Jin into the room, Marc Gavin picked up a yellow stone, doodled a few crooked characters on the door and slammed it. The awful whoop noise even awoke a few warriors. Out of curiosity, they lit up their lights and walked out of their rooms, trying to figure out what was going on.
[Daddy is blue today… Don’t knock… Or I’ll kill you]
Seeing the characters which were as ugly as the writer, those warriors all shrank back as a shiver caught them. They sped up, beside themselves, to hide in their beds for fear that the president would suddenly open the door and flame at them for approaching his room.
“Son, what did you say?” The smile died down and worry appeared on the ugly face. “The boy wanted to kill you? Do you know why? You two had grudges? Or…”
“Someone paid him.” Without time for further explanation, Qian Jin fetched some weird containers out from his Warrior Dimension and placed them on the table one by one. He then connected some of them together to form three independent setups.
“What? Who? The Rays, the Mayor or the Qians?”
Flipping his wrist, Marc Gavin had his murderous ax in hand. He stared at the childish-faced boy so hard as if he were going to split him into two halves.
“I don’t know.” As Qian Jin answered, he took out packets of herbs from his Warrior Dimension. Fortunately, he had grabbed as many as he could at the Hydra’s house, no matter what disease they were used to treat. They were all too rare to get. “That’s why I brought him back. Otherwise, I would have killed him already.”
After nearly a hundred kinds of herbs were lined up there, Qian Jin held his hands at his side and looked around for a minute. Luckily, the Warrior Dimension had been expanding as his strength kept increasing. Otherwise, he might not be able to tend to these treasures.
Its space was now equal to hundreds of acres as he grew stronger to a Level 1 Demon Slayer. The gold mountain that was formed from stacked gold bricks, which had occupied most of the space, was now a drop in the ocean.
“No wonder people always say that warrior is a carrier!” Qian Jin gasped at his Warrior Dimension. It would be an excellent storehouse for provisions except it would take too much time because the owner had to take it out bit by bit.
That meant a drain on strength, especially for those warriors who didn’t have lots of brute force. Although the Warrior Power could enhance the explosive moment, it wasn’t an option for physical handling.
“Qian Jin, what are you up to?” Marc Gavin looked at the man who was wasting the time and said with ardor, “I’m an expert interrogator! Let me do this for you! I have a million ways to make him speak.”
“He is a professional.” Without turning back, Qian Jin kept doing his thing. “He was trained for this. After you tried all the means you are capable of, I’m afraid the client would have already known about it.”
So the president had no other choice but shrug and stay on standby. He watched Qian Jin mill the herbs and fruits into powder and put them into a tube one after another.
Drug? Mystic Potion? Marc Gavin knew nothing about it, but he had to admit it smelled really good though it looked bad. He felt happy smelling the fragrance.
The fluid in the test tube became even darker after it was filtered several times. Qian Jin took a deep breath and added another bit of a special spice in it. The room was immediately dominated by the aroma but they didn’t feel dizzy or nauseous.
Prying the tightly-closed mouth of Rocky Ray, Qian Jin tried to pour the dark mixture down his throat.
Curiosity finally reached Marc Gavin! He asked in a lowered voice: “What is that?”
“This is called Level 1Hallucination Potion.” Qian Jin counted time by fingers while fixing his eyes on Rocky Ray. “No matter how strong-willed the man is, he would be completely honest with you after he takes this in the state of unconsciousness. The potion will last for at least half a minute. It is an elementary Mystic Potion.”
“Hallucination Potion?” Marc Gavin looked at Qian Jin blankly and secretly wondered. “He must be kidding! If it were so effective, how could it be just an elementary level? If it were so effective, would those strong leaders tell their secrets about the Warrior Power and fighting techniques? But why I have never heard of it before?”
Marc Gavin thought hard about the Mystic Pharmacists he had met in the past few years, some of which were experts in his mind. None of them had ever mentioned about this.
“Of course, as a level 1, it has side effects.” Carefully measuring the dose, Qian Jin continued. “The user will be immune to it in the following month.”
“What? Does that mean you can only use it for half a minute in a month?” Marc Gavin was somewhat frustrated. The time was not enough, even for the weakest Warrior Power or fighting techniques to be unveiled. “Son, are you serious about it? Why I haven’t heard of it before?”
“Really?” Looking at the sleeping Rocky Ray, Qian Jin put the tube away and suddenly he patted his forehead. Master Eulalia had once said that she invented the Hallucination Potion! So it stood to reason that no one in the Zence Empire could make it. “Well, I’m afraid I’m the only one you know that is capable of making this potion.”
“What?” The bear president sighed in admiration. “That’s amazing!”
“Is it?” Qian Jin raised his eyebrows. “I don’t think so.”
Marc Gavin rolled his eyes. He was so itching to ask, “Then what can be called amazing to you?”
Qian Jin shook his head. This was the basic requirement for a Mystic Pharmacist. This was amazing? Then he might not be able to find a suitable word for the Ultimate Hallucination Potion, Ultimate Memory Lose Potion, and Ultimate Painkilling Potion Eulalia could make!
