"Have the Sima Family thought about holding a tournament to showcase the ability of your Artifacts?"
Lin Xuan Qi said and Sima Long was surprised by his suggestion.
"A tournament?" Sima Long frowned and mumbled to himself.
"Yes, a tournament." Lin nodded his head and said, "First, it would allow everyone to see for themselves how good the Artifacts from the Sima Family are despite the rumors going around.
"With the person who started the rumor disappearing, and the investigation from the Magistrate not yielding any results, it’s time to take the initiative of the narrative into your hands.
"And from what I know, there are many sects and clans on their way to Hong Feng City. It might be a better way to get rid of them one by one."
There was another reason that he kept mum about.
As long as the grounds of the tournament were owned by him, then he would be confident enough to win against whoever it was that challenged the Sima Family.
He was even confident about beating Zhao Geng Nian if he came onto the stage, but he wouldn’t expect him to do so.
The Qing Feng Sect’s objective would be too obvious if Zhao Geng Nian did so, as only Sima Yu the family head or Sima Liang the Grand Ancestor were well enough to take him on.
It might also be a good time for Lao Er and Ling Er to show their faces and garner interest for his sect at the tournament.
"I will immediately arrange for the venue of the tournament if the Sima Family agrees to it.
"We can have our franchise stores selling our food during the tournament." Lin Xuan Qi said to make it more enticing for Sima Long.
He himself wouldn’t mind making some money out of the tournament if he could.
Sima Long nodded his head at what he had heard from Lin Xuan Qi.

Yue Jie gave him a nod when everything was in order.
"Go back and let me know as soon as possible when the Sima Family decides whether they want to go ahead with it."
"I will. Why would I give up the chance to come here again and get a free lunch from you?" Sima Long was back to his usual self joking with Lin Xuan Qi.
Lin Xuan Qi rolled his eyes at Sima Long and said, "You are welcome to have every meal here if you don’t feel embarrassed about it."
"What do you take me for? I... I am exactly that kind of person." Sima Long said and Lin Xuan Qi felt like giving him a gut punch.
"Be on your way and I’ll search for a suitable venue in the meantime." Lin Xuan Qi said and Sima Long waved at him while he left with his men.
Lin Xuan Qi sat beside Yue Jie who was busy writing down the sum of money that they had received from Sima Long.
"How much is it?" He took a sip of tea and asked.
Yue Jie lifted her head, glanced at him and replied, "If you are asking about Sima Long, we got a hundred over taels of gold from his franchise stores.
"But if you are asking about how much we made in total from all the businesses, we are making a thousand over taels of gold.
"Which is a slight increase over the previous month."

Hopefully, Lu Ting’s housekeeper should be able to get these Spirit Herbs for him.

There was no time to waste.
