"We are in a cave near one of the villages. It’s safe over here and we can hunt for food to keep ourselves alive." Lao Er said and Ling Er nodded her head.
Lin Xuan Qi felt relieved that they had somewhere to settle in for the time being.
"Great. We can continue with your cultivation in the meantime, and when you are good enough, you can seek out opportunities nearby." He channeled his thoughts through the incense urn and said.
"Yes, Grand Ancestor Lin... but we..." Lao Er was eager to learn but he remembered the wild rabbit he was roasting earlier and both of them were very hungry.
They had not eaten anything ever since they had come out from the secret realm.
Growl.
His stomach growled and he continued, "We are hungry right now..."
Lao Er frowned and waited for the response from Lin Xuan Qi.
"Then, take your meal first." The low coarse voice sounded from the incense urn and Lao Er bowed at it together with Ling Er.
Lin Xuan Qi gave out a sigh at their plight and reminded himself that they were on their own out there, unlike him, having the luxury to sit on the warm and comfortable bed.
He would help them if he could, but it was better for them to be independent and quickly get the sect up and running.
While he was thinking about it, Lao Er and Ling Er had wolfed down the wild rabbit quickly and after they had wiped the oil from their mouths, they came back to where the incense urn was.
"We are ready, Grand Ancestor Lin." Lao Er and Ling Er bowed at the incense urn and said.
Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and channeled his thoughts through the incense urn, "First, we shall continue with the breathing techniques..."
He went on and talked about how to cultivate with the Spirit Stones and how the breathing techniques would help.
Lao Er and Ling Er followed his instructions and they were able to absorb more of the Spirit Qi from the Spirit Stones they had.
After they were successful, he continued to teach them the stances of the sword style from the Snow Swan Sword Style manuscript.
They were clumsy with the swords at first but they didn’t give up.
One try after another, they tried, failed and tried again.
When they were finally successful after a long while, they pumped their fists in the air with joy.
The realization that they would be walking on the path of cultivation was overwhelming to them after what they had gone through.
Their families were now in debt trying to get them into a sect and now, they were able to cultivate without the help of these corrupted sects.
Once they became powerful and successful, they vowed to go back and help their families.
"That’s it for today. I need to rest for the time being. You might be on your own for some time so make your own decisions."
When the low coarse voice sounded from the incense urn, Lao Er and Ling Er bowed at it and said, "Yes, Grand Ancestor Lin."
Lin Xuan Qi let them be and he thought about the things he had to do.
First, there was the name of his sect which he had no idea what to call it yet.
Next, he would have to think about getting a place for Lao Er and Ling Er to stay in when they were ready to come to Gui Feng City.
And finally, he would like to visit Chu Xu before he went back to Hong Feng City to check on what had happened at the secret realm after he left.
Up till now, he wasn’t sure what the Qing Feng Sect was up to.
It was best for him to gather more information before he got back, as Zhao Geng Nian might have something else of his own in Hong Feng City.
Lin Xuan Qi frowned and he checked the talismans he had left in his toad statue.
He had used up all of the invisible talismans and many of the fire talismans. The other talismans weren’t used as much and he still had a stock full of them.
Maybe it was time to restock more talismans from Wan Shou Fang again? He thought and shook his head.
There were so many things to do and so little time for him.
Lin Xuan Qi proceeded to sit in a lotus position and cultivated with a Five-Element Stone on his palm.
He needed to get better after what he had experienced in the secret realm.
Things were happening with the Qing Feng Sect making moves and he had better be prepared for it.
The candlelight swayed while he cultivated, making his shadow move with it.
The night was gone very soon and Lin Xuan Qi stopped when he heard the gong of the nightwatchman in the distance.
It was time for bed.
Best for him to get a good rest before the long day ahead.

Lin Xuan Qi woke up and had breakfast with Bai Xun and the others at the dining area.
"I will have a look around for the day and maybe pay a visit to Mistress Chu Xu later.
"Take care of the retail shops for me." Lin Xuan Qi said and Bai Xun nodded his head to it.
"I will take care of it, Master Lin."
The guards were glad to be able to explore the city and they quickly finished their meal.
Lin Xuan Qi got on the horse carriage and went around the housing areas of the city to see if there was anything suitable for Lao Er and Ling Er.
He might buy one for himself when he visited with Xue Cong and the others next time.
Having more properties meant having more of the Five-Element Stones and areas where he would be unbeatable.
Along the way, he saw that there were many small cultivation sects and clans that were in Gui Feng City.
The money of the mining trade had attracted many of them to settle here.
"Stop." Lin Xuan Qi shouted to the coachman when the horse carriage turned into a street.
