Chapter 85: You Didn’t Go Home Yesterday Night
“Jiaojiao.” Bai Weiyu’s voice was heard from behind her. Chi Jiao stopped and turned to look behind her.
Bai Weiyu and Jin Yiming stood behind her and Quan Jue with smiles on their faces. Jin Yiming, in particular, emitted a gentle and warm aura from head to toe.
However, Chi Jiao once again felt the aura of death emanating from his body.
“It’s really you. Such a coincidence! Teacher Jin and I are here discussing something as well.” Bai Weiyu had always been bad at lying, so her cheeks were burning.
Chi Jiao didn’t expose her. Instead, she smiled and nodded. “It’s indeed a coincidence…”
Then, her gaze landed on Jin Yiming as she greeted him. “Teacher Jin.”
Quan Jue nodded indifferently at Jin Yiming as well. He stood up and said to Chi Jiao, “It’s getting late. I’ll head back first.”
With that, he turned around and left.
Chi Jiao knew Quan Jue’s personality. It was fine if they were alone, but when there were suddenly others, his cold personality would definitely feel uncomfortable. Therefore, she didn’t stop him and just watched as he left.
Now that Quan Jue had left, Chi Jiao would naturally not want to stay any longer. She told Bai Weiyu that she was returning to class, and Bai Weiyu hurriedly went up to her and held her arm. She said to Jin Yiming, “Teacher Jin, Jiaojiao and I will return to class together.”
Jin Yiming smiled and nodded.
Bai Weiyu held Chi Jiao’s arm. After walking for a distance, she suddenly stopped and looked at her. “Jiaojiao, did you see everything just now?”
Chi Jiao didn’t expect Bai Weiyu to ask her directly either as she nodded.
“Then-then, this matter…” Bai Weiyu’s face turned red as she didn’t know what to say.
Chi Jiao looked at her.
She hadn’t interacted much with Bai Weiyu, but she could tell that she was a very innocent little girl.
Otherwise, Bai Weiyu wouldn’t have asked her so bluntly.
“I won’t tell anyone. Don’t worry.” Chi Jiao smiled and patted her shoulder. “You don’t have to be nervous.”
Bai Weiyu heaved a sigh of relief, but her face was still red. “I know you won’t tell anyone. I believe you.”
“When did you and Teacher Jin start?” Chi Jiao asked with a smile, adopting a gossipy posture.
“Actually, our relationship isn’t what you think. We aren’t in an actual relationship. He… he said that he’s willing to wait for me until I graduate,” Bai Weiyu whispered.
Even so, this matter could still be a topic of conversation.
Chi Jiao nodded. When she saw how Bai Weiyu’s eyes lit up at the mention of Jin Yiming, she knew how much she liked him.
“Come to my place this weekend to play. Get Lanlan and Nannan along.” Chi Jiao changed the topic all of a sudden.
Seeing no abnormal expression on Chi Jiao’s face, Bai Weiyu heaved a sigh of relief. She pursed her lips and nodded with a smile.
She was very worried that Chi Jiao would have some opinions about her because of Teacher Jin. It seemed like she was thinking too much.
…
After the school bell rang in the afternoon, Chi Jiao had just packed her bag when her phone rang.
It was from Chi Mingwei. She answered the call immediately.
“Jiaojiao, you didn’t return home last night. Where did you go?” Chi Mingwei had gone on a business trip last night and had just reached home this afternoon. When he heard from Zhu Limin that Chi Jiao hadn’t returned home last night, he immediately called her after calculating the time she would be done with school.
Chi Mingwei had never been this worried about Chi Yan in the past. He didn’t even worry that much about Chi Ze as the siblings had Zhu Limin.
Now, Chi Mingwei could feel how fretting it was to have a daughter. He was very worried that something had happened to Chi Jiao.
