"You!" Suishen Yong stared wide-eyed, furious from humiliation.

Unbothered by his expression, Tianming stepped on the man’s face and pulled out the Grand-Orient Sword. Suishen Yong fell to the ground once more, covered in wounds and shivering in pain.

"The strongest non-foundationeer? From now on, the title is mine." Tianming's words made Suishen Yong spew blood. He was so angry he couldn't find the words to refute him.

Suishen Yue laughed instead. "You don’t understand, little brother," he said, patting Suishen Yong on the shoulder.

"Do you know what the consequences are? I’ll lose the opportunity to become an eminent ahead of time, but they...." Suishen Yue paused, narrowing his gaze.

"What’ll happen to them?" Suishen Yong asked, eager to know.

"The man will die and the woman will become a great shame to House Suishen. In all likelihood, she’ll be sentenced to death as a warning to future generations. Suishen Jiguang will be punished for it as well, and it’ll be carried out by Uncle Ranxing himself! Do you think they’d risk such severe consequences?" Suishen Yue coldly smiled and shrugged.

"Is it that serious?" Suishen Yong asked, stunned.

"I understand. I won't worry, then," Suishen Yong laughed. "It’s best if Li Tianming has intentions toward Sister Yao. He’ll have to watch her become my sister-in-law—wouldn’t that be great!"

"The matter is set in stone," Suishen Yue said, staring at Tianming and Suishen Yao as they happily chatted. Of course he was upset; he merely hid his emotions well.

Father, you’re right. Why should I care about her fate if she doesn't care about my feelings? Suishen Yue sneered in his heart.
