As her posture was wrong when she tried to chop the firewood, she failed several times. Instead, the noise woke Old Madam Li, who was sleeping soundly in the room.
“What are you doing so early in the morning?! It’s so rare that I’m sleeping so well! Then you wake me up! Do you want me to die early?!” Old Madam Li pushed open the door and shouted fiercely.
Zhao Hong threw aside the ax in a panic and said, “No, there’s no more firewood at home. I was about to cook…”
